  • A new control technique which generates high-quality sinusoidal output voltage from a single-phase resonant do link inverter suitable for the UPS systems is presented. The inverter output voltage control system has the PID controller with a minor loop of the filter inductor current and tile feedforward controller. The proposed control scheme also solves resonant voltage overshoot without any additional switch or passive component, resulting in pulses with uniform amplitude and high efficiency. Experimental results in the case of linear and nonlinear loads are presented to confirm the usefulness of the Proposed control algorithms.

사출 자동화 시스템을 위한 통신 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Communication Control System for Pressure Automatic System)

  • In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

온-라인 모니터링 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of on-line Monitoring and Controlling System)

  • 산업현장의 기계장치나 실내 외 그리고 해양 등과 같은 주위 환경의 데이터를 원거리의 중앙 컴퓨터에 전송하여 그 상태를 확인하여 해석하고, 해석된 데이터를 바탕으로 이상 유무 등을 판별하여 시스템의 최적 동작을 위한 시스템 명령 등을 Network나 유 무선 통신을 이용하여 전달하는 온-라인 모니터링 시스템이다. 본 연구는 온-라인 모니터링 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 염산 수조의 온도를 원격지의 중앙 컴퓨터에서 제어하는 시스템으로써 모니터링부 무선송신부, 온도콘트롤부로 이루어진 실험 장치를 구성하였다. 본 시스템을 응용하면 재난 재해방지 시스템, 경보 시스템과 같은 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)시스템에 적용이 가능하다.

  • The industrial automation market encompasses all aspects of the discrete process in the manufactring industries. Nowadays many manufacturers are increasingly moving to increase plant capacity, and are trying to produce better quality at the lower costs. We have studied a modern projection-automation system to achieve the communication network which makes connection among all of the projection machines and connect them to a central computer. This communication system have to be very flexible and fast. Also we have studied the communication interface for the automatic production system including the hardware elements and the communication software.

자율 주행 트랙터 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 CAN 기반의 조향제어시스템 개발 (Development of Steering Control System based on CAN for Autonomous Tractor System)

  • A steering control system based on CAN(Controller Area Network) for autonomous tractor was developed to reduce duty of a central processing computer and to improve performance of steering control in terms of reduced control interval and error. The steering control system consisted of a SCU (Steering Control Unit), an EHPS system, and a potentiometer. The SCU consisted of an MCU (Micro Controller unit), an A/D converter, and a DC-DC converter, and a PID controller was used to control steering angle. The steering control system was communicated with the computer by CAN-bus. Each actuator and implement was connected to a multi-function board interfacing with the computer through a USB cable. Without CAN, control interval of the autonomous tractor was 1.5 seconds. When the CAN-based steering control system was combined with the autonomous tractor, however, control interval of the integrated system was reduced to those less than 0.05 seconds. When the autonomous tractor was operated with 1.5-s and 0.05-s control cycles at a 0.63-m/s travelling speed, the trajectories were close to straight lines for both of the control cycles. For a 1.34-m/s traveling speed, tractor trajectory was close to sine wave with a 1.5-s control cycle, but was straight line with a 0.05-s control cycle.

영묘향함유 우황청심원액과 사향함유 우황청심원액의 중추신경계에 대한 약리효과 비교시험 (The Comparative Effects of Civet-Containing and Musk-Containing WooHwangChungSimWon on the Central Nervous System)

  • WooHwangChungSimWon is a traditional medicine for treatment of hypertension, arteriosclerosis, coma, and stroke in China, Korea, and Japan. In the new prescription of WooHwangChungSimWon, the civet is substituted for the musk, the major component of WooHwangChungSimwon, because of the prohibition law about the musk. We have made a comparative study of the effects on the central nervous system between the musk containing and civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon. In order to investigate the effects on the central nervous system, we have examined spontaneous motor activities, anti-convulsion activities induced by chemicals or electric shock, sleep induced by hexobarbital, and antistress effects. In the examination of anti-convulsion effects against the electric shock and injection of pentetrazol, only the civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon showed the anti-convulsion effects, i.e. the duration of convulsion by electric shock was decreased (control: 104.0 seconds, low dose of civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon: 60.7 seconds) and the duration of suppression against pentetrazol induced convulsion was increased (control: 392.3 seconds, low dose of civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon: 574.0 seconds, high dose of civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon: 561.4 seconds). In the other examinations, all kinds of WooHwangChungSimWon showed sedation, anti-convulsion activities, and induction of sleeping. These results suggest that there are no significant differences between the musk containing and civet containing WooHwangChungSimWon except the anti-convulsion effects against the convulsions induced by electric shock and pentetrazol.

  • For pneumatic system control, we need a data transmission system with high speed and reliability for information interchange between main computer and I/O devices. This paper presents a set of design techniques for a data communication system that is mainly used for pneumatic system control. For this purpose, we first designed hardware modules for an interface between central control module and local node that handles the operation of solenoid valves. In addition, we developed a communication protocol for construction of RS-485 based multi-drop network, and this protocol is basically designed with a kind of polling technique.   • Grinding in the cement industry is a very energy-exacting process, therefore it is essential that these systems should operate with the highest possible efficiency. But, Cement grinding process is a complicated nonlinear system with large dead time, very noisy signal and many stochastic disturbances. So, it is difficult to develope mathematic process model. This paper presents correlation analysis of process variables and construction of experimental model for a ball mill grinding process.

A Single-Phase Current-Source Bidirectional Converter for V2G Applications

  • In this paper, a single-phase current-source bidirectional converter topology for V2G applications is proposed. The proposed converter consists of a single-phase current-source rectifier (SCSR) and an auxiliary switching network (ASN). It offers bidirectional power flow between the battery and the grid in the buck or boost mode and expands the output voltage range, so that it can be compatible with different voltage levels. The topology structure and operating principles of the proposed converter are analyzed in detail. An indirect control algorithm is used to realize the charging and discharging of the battery. Finally, the semiconductor losses and system efficiency are analyzed. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed topology.

  • In this paper we deal with a design of the evaluation system to assess the vehicle operational control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system. PRT system is different from the conventional rail traffic system in such point that the station is off-line so as to guarantee a very short headway. In this study we propose a evaluation system to assess the performance of the proposed vehicle control algorithm. The evaluation system is composed of virtual vehicles, central control system, virtual wayside facilities, monitoring equipments. In order to test the proposed evaluation system a test algorithm is used, which has been simulated in the combined simulation system between Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink.
