Core와 시멘트의 종류가 전부주조금관의 유지력에 미치는 영향 (THE RETENTION OF FULL VENEER GOLD CROWN BY CORE MATERIAL AND DENTAL CEMENT)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of core materials and luting agents on the retention of full veneer gold crown. The core materials used in this study was dental amalgam, and composite resin, and the luting agents were zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement, and glass ionomer cement. The obtained results were as follows. 1. In full veneer gold crown supported by composite resin core, the crown retention with zinc phosphate cement was the highest of all. 2. In full veneer gold crown supported by amalgam core, the crown retention was shown no statistical difference by luting agent. 3. There was no statistical difference in the crown retention between the full veneer gold crown supported by composite resin core and dental amalgam core.

Effects of abutment diameter, luting agent type, and re-cementation on the retention of implant-supported CAD/CAM metal copings over short abutments

  • PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of abutment diameter, cement type, and re-cementation on the retention of implant-supported CAD/CAM metal copings over short abutments. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Sixty abutments with two different diameters, the height of which was reduced to 3 mm, were vertically mounted in acrylic resin blocks with matching implant analogues. The specimens were divided into 2 diameter groups: 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm (n=30). For each abutment a CAD/CAM metal coping was manufactured, with an occlusal loop. Each group was sub-divided into 3 sub-groups (n=10). In each subgroup, a different cement type was used: resin-modified glass-ionomer, resin cement and zinc-oxide-eugenol. After incubation and thermocycling, the removal force was measured using a universal testing machine at a cross-head speed of 0.5 mm/min. In zinc-oxide-eugenol group, after removal of the coping, the cement remnants were completely cleaned and the copings were re-cemented with resin cement and re-tested. Two-way ANOVA, post hoc Tukey tests, and paired t-test were used to analyze data (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. The highest pulling force was registered in the resin cement group (414.8 N), followed by the re-cementation group (380.5 N). Increasing the diameter improved the retention significantly (P=.006). The difference in retention between the cemented and recemented copings was not statistically significant (P=.40). CONCLUSION. Resin cement provided retention almost twice as strong as that of the RMGI. Increasing the abutment diameter improved retention significantly. Re-cementation with resin cement did not exhibit any difference from the initial cementation with resin cement.

  • Fluidity retention of concrete used high range water reducing AE agent(HWAE) is varied according to type, dosage amount and dosing method of HWAE. The type and substitution ratio of mineral admixture also have influence on the fluidity retention of concrete using HWAE. For the purpose of improving the fluidity retention in concrete used HWAE, 3 types of HWAE and ground granulated blast furnace slag(SG) are applied in cement-based composites such as cement paste, mortar and concrete respectively. According to using the HWAE of naphthalene sulfonates and SG, the fluidity retention of mortar and concerete is improving the fluidity retention and strength of concrete regardless of type of HWAE.

  • This study was performed to investigate the retrievability of the cementation type implant abutments. The cements used in this study were Cavitec, Tembond and Zinc Phosphate Cement. The types of surface conditioning were no treatment, 50 microne sandblasting, 250 microne sandblasting, fine diamond finishing point and coarse diamond point. The retention of cast crown was measured with Instron Universal Testing Machine(Instron Engineering Co., U.S.A.). The results were as fellows: 1. The Maximium retention was obtained by the group of Z.P.C. cementation and Coarse diamond point surface conditioning. 2. Z.P.C. shows maximum retention, and reduced in orders Tembond, Cavitec, No cement. 3. The value of retention of surface condition was highest in coarse diamond point, lowest in no tretment. 4. The similar results were obtained between fine diamond point and 50 microne sandblasting, coarse diamond point and 250 microne sandblasting. 5. The were no direct corelation between mechanical retention and cementation retention.

임플란트 지대주 형태와 시멘트 종류에 따른 전부주조금관의 유지력 비교 (The Comparison of the Retention of the Full Veneer Casted Gold Crowns with Different Implant Abutment Shapes and Types of Cements)

  • 본 연구에서는 시멘트 유지형 임플란트에서 지대주의 수렴각과 시멘트 종류에 따라 보철물의 유지력에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 임플란트 지대주와 유사한 외형을 갖는 금속 다이를 제작하였으며, 짧은 지대주(5mm)와 긴 지대주(10mm) 두가지로 설정하였으며, 각각 5, 10, 15, 25도의 수렴각을 갖는 금속 다이를 제작하였다. 금속 다이와 금속 다이로부터 제작한 금주조관을 Temp-bond, petroleum jelly를 일정 비율로 섞은 Temp-bond, ZPC, Premier implant cement로 합착시킨 후, 인장력에 대한 유지력을 측정하였다. 그 후 각각의 시멘트 군에서 수렴각의 변화가 유지력에 미치는 영향과 각 수렴각 군에서 시멘트의 변화가 유지력에 미치는 영향을 비교하였다. 또한 본 실험에서 사용된 시멘트 중 Premier implant cement의 변연 간격에 대한 연구를 추가적으로 시행하였으며, in-vitro 실험의 한계 내에서 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 1. Petroleum jelly를 첨가한 Temp-bond의 경우 각각 수렴각이 증가함에 따라 모든 경우에 유지력이 감소함을 보였으며, 시멘트 중 가장 낮은 유지력을 나타냈다. 2. ZPC의 경우 수렴각이 증가함에 따라 유지력의 감소를 보였으며, 수렴각이 5도인 경우 ZPC가 Premier implant cement보다 더 큰 유지력을 보였다. 3. Premier implant cement의 경우 수렴각이 5도일 때 가장 작은 유지력을 보이고 10도에서 가장 큰 값을 보인 후 수렴각이 증가할수록 유지력이 감소하는 양상을 보였다. 4. Premier implant cement의 경우 이번 실험의 조건 내에서 수렴각이 10도일 때보다 5도일 때 더 큰 변연 간격을 보였다.

The selection criteria of temporary or permanent luting agents in implant-supported prostheses: in vitro study

  • PURPOSE. The use of temporary or permanent cements in fixed implant-supported prostheses is under discussion. The objective was to compare the retentiveness of one temporary and two permanent cements after cyclic compressive loading. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The working model was five solid abutments screwed to five implant analogs. Thirty Cr-Ni alloy copings were randomized and cemented to the abutments with one temporary (resin urethane-based) or two permanent (resin-modified glass ionomer, resin-composite) cements. The retention strength was measured twice: once after the copings were cemented and again after a compressive cyclic loading of 100 N at 0.72 Hz (100,000 cycles). RESULTS. Before loading, the retention strength of resin composite was 75% higher than the resin-modified glass ionomer and 2.5 times higher than resin urethane-based cement. After loading, the retentiveness of the three cements decreased in a non-uniform manner. The greatest percentage of retention loss was shown by the temporary cement and the lowest by the permanent resin composite. However, the two permanent cements consistently show high retention values. CONCLUSION. The higher the initial retention of each cement, the lower the percentage of retention loss after compressive cyclic loading. After loading, the resin urethane-based cement was the most favourable cement for retrieving the crowns and resin composite was the most favourable cement to keep them in place.

주조 포스트의 유지력에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE RETENTION OF CAST POST)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of method for construction of cast post and type of dental cement on the retention of cast post. The wax patterns or Duralay resin patterns were used for construction of cast post. The dental cements used in this study were zinc phosphate cement(Fleck's zinc cement, Mizzy INc., U.S.A.), glass ionomer cement(Fuji I, G-C Co., Japan), and resin cement(Panavia-EX, Kuraray Co., Japan) and the retention of cast post was measured with Instron Universal Test Machine(Instron Engineering Co., U.S.A.). The obtained results were as follows : 1. The tensile bond strength of cast posts made by Duralay resin patterns revealed 39.13(kg) with Panavia-EX, 46.40(kg) with phosphate cement, and 37.78(kg) with glass ionomer cement. 2. The tensile bond strength of cast posts made by wax patterns revealed 39.25(kg) with Panavia, EX, 44.12(kg) with phosphate cement, and 40.23(kg) with glass ionomer cement. 3. The tensile bond strength of cast posts made by Duralay resin patterns or wax patterns were not affected by the type of dental cements(P>0.05).

임플란트 보철물의 합착에 대한 문헌고찰 (A literature review on cementation of implant prosthesis)

  • 시멘트유지형 임플란트 보철물은 교합과 심미적인 측면에서 상당한 장점을 가지지만 시멘트잔사가 남을 경우 임플란트주위염을 유발하는데 대부분 후기 증상으로 발현되며 특히 제거의 어려움과 시멘트잔사로 인한 임플란트주위염은 임플란트의 예후를 위협하는 요인이 될 수 있다. 그러므로 사용목적에 맞는 유지력을 가지는 시멘트를 선택하는 것이 필요하다. 일반적으로 레진시멘트, 폴리카복실레이트시멘트, RMGI 시멘트가 GI 시멘트나 ZPC보다 높은 유지력을 가지며 임시합착제는 열순환 후에는 유지력이 낮아진다. 시멘트 외에도 지대주의 높이와 경사도, 지대주의 수 및 분포도 유지력에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 무엇보다 목적에 맞는 시멘트를 선택하고 생역학적인 원칙을 준수한 보철물을 설계하고 시멘트잔사를 줄이는 방법을 이용하여 합착한 후 방사선사진으로 잔사를 확인하여 완벽하게 제거해야 시멘트유지형 보철의 성공을 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

  • Four kids of powder admixtures(A, B, C, D) based on anhydrite were manufactured by mixing at a fixed rate of II-anhydrite, fly ash and active silica as an industrial by-product. Fluidity properties of cement paste such as mini-slump, apparent viscosity with elapsed time, as well as setting time of cement pastes of these admixtures substituted up to 11wt% of cement were compared to those of cement paste(SS) substisuted by marketed high-strength powder admixture(S). Among these powder admixtures, the fluidity of cement pastes(PA, PC) substituted by A and C powder admixtures manufactured from II-anhydrite and fly ash had an excellent property than that of cement paste substituted by marketed powder admixture and also a good fluidity-retention effect with elapsed time by adding of superplasticizer. The setting time of cement paste substituted by powder admixtures based on anhydrite slightly retarded than that of cement paste substituted by marketed powder admixture.
