전자기장 해석을 이용한 CNG 차량 용기용 밸브 솔레노이드의 설계 (Design of a Cylinder Valve Solenoid for a CNG Vehicle using Electromagnetic Field Analysis)

  • Growing concerns regarding environmental pollution have increased the demand for green vehicles. Green vehicles include electric vehicles, compressed natural gas vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, and vehicles running on fuels such as bio diesel or an ethanol blend. CNG vehicles are equipped with a cylinder valve installed in a high-pressure vessel to control the CNG flow. For this purpose, the optimum design of cylinder valve solenoid is necessary to secure at driving a CNG vehicle. In this study, electromagnetic field analysis to ensure the reliable operation of the solenoid was conducted by using a Maxwell V15. The electromagnetic field analysis was performed by magnetostatic technique according to distance between magnetic poles in order to predict the attraction force. Finally, the attraction force was validated through comparison between the Maxwell results and the measurement results. From the results, the error of attraction force was found to be 2.85 N to 6.5 N under the testing conditions.

A Test Study on Interface Dynamics of Current Collection System in High Speed Trains

  • Using a test run data, the dynamics of the interface between the catenary and pantograph constituting the current collection system in high-speed trains are investigated. The test run signals are analyzed to determine the dynamic parameters critical to the current collection performance. There are found to be frequency components of the pantograph motion that are dependent on train speed as well as components that are stationary such as the resonant mode of the panhead suspension in the pantograph. From contact force measurement using load cell, the mean contact force was found to be stable while the fluctuating component was found to be dependent on the range of the frequency of the pantograph motion taken into account. The finding implies that numerical investigations reported in the literature that are based on lumped element models of the catenary and/or pantograph provide accurate predictions on the mean value but are of limited use in estimating fluctuation of the contact force. It is concluded that simulation studies based on lumped-element models which do not incorporate panhead structural vibration modes is inaccurate at high train speeds.

Ar-Kr 혼합가스를 이용한 OLED용 Al 전극 제작 (Preparation of Al electrode with Ar-Kr gas mixture for OLED application)

  • As preparing electrode for the OLED with the sputtering process, in order to be lower damage of the bottom organic layer and increase the life-time of the OLED, we prepared Al electrode for that by using Facing Targets Sputtering (FTS) system. Al electrode directly deposited on the cell (LiF/EML/HTL/Bottom electrode). Deposition condition was the working gas (Ar, Kr and Ar+Kr) and working gas pressure (1 and 6 mTorr). The film thickness and I-V curve of Al/cell were evaluated by a $\acute{a}$-step profiler and a semiconductor parameter (HP4156A) measurement. The thin film surface image was observed by a Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). In result, in comparison with about 11 [V] of the turn-on voltage of Al/cell with using the pure Ar gas, when Al thin film was deposited using the Ar-Kr mixture gas, the surface morphology was improved in some region and the turn-on voltage of Al/cell could be decreased to about 7 [V].

Buffer층을 가진 유기 전기 발광 소자의 특성 (Characteristics of organic electroluminescent devices having buffer layers)

  • Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic thin films have attracted lots of interests in large-area light-emitting display. One of the problems of such device is a lifetime, where a degradation of the cell is possibly due to an organic layers thickness, morphology and interface with electrode. In this study, light-omitting organic electroluminescent devices were fabricated using Alq$_3$(8-hydroxyquinolinate aluminum) and TPD(N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl(1-1\`-biphenyl]-4,4'-diamine). Where Alq$_3$ is an electron-transport and emissive layer, TPD is a hole-transport layer. The cell structure is ITO/TPD/Alq$_3$/Al and the cell is fabricated by vacuum evaporation method. In a measurement of current-voltage characteristics, we obtained a turn-on voltage at about 9 V. We also investigated stability of the devices using buffer layer with blend of PEI (Poly ether imide) and TPD by varying mot ratios between ITO and Alq$_3$. In current-voltage characteristics measurement, we obtained the turn-on voltage at about 6 V and observed an anomalous behavior at 3∼4 V. And we used other buffer layer of PEDT(3,4-pyrazino-3',4'-ethylenedithio-2,2',5,5'-tetrathiafulvalenium) with ITO/PEDT/TPD/Alq$_3$Al structure. We observed a surface morphology by AFM(Atomic Force Microscopy), UV/visible absorption spectrum, and PL(Photoluminescence) spectrum. We obtained the UV/visible absorption peak at 358nm in TPD and at 359nm in Alq$_3$, and the PL peaks at 410nm in TPD and at 510nm in Alq$_3$. We also studied EL spectrum in the cell structure of ITO/(TPD+PEI)/Alq$_3$/Al.

수소연료전지 자동차 압력 용기용 전자밸브의 온도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Temperature Characteristics of Automatic Valve for High Pressure Cylinder of FCV)

  • 수소연료전지 자동차 압력 용기에는 연료전지 스택으로 수소의 흐름을 제어하기 위해 전자 밸브가 부착되고 있다. 전자 밸브의 솔레노이드는 전기 신호에 의해 유로를 개폐하는 역할을 하며, 전원이 인가되는 시간이 경과함에 따라 온도가 상승하여 일정 온도에서 포화된다. 특히 온도의 상승은 솔레노이드의 흡인력을 감소시키므로 안정적인 수소 공급을 위해서 설계 시 포화 온도와 온도에 따른 흡인력 특성 파악이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 솔레노이드 설계 변수에 따른 포화 온도 계산식을 제안하고 열 유동 해석을 통해 타당성을 확인하였다. 또한, 온도에 따른 흡인력 변화를 분석하기 위해 전자기장 해석을 수행하였으며 온도 특성 실험을 통해 포화 온도와 흡인력 해석 결과를 검증하였다. 포화온도는 계산식과 해석결과를 비교하였을 때 $5.3^{\circ}C$, 해석 결과와 실험 결과를 비교하였을 때 $5.9^{\circ}C$의 오차가 발생하였으며, 흡인력은 1.0 N, 최대 2.1 N의 오차가 발생하였다.

4종류의 구급장비 및 마루(Floor) 위에서 시행한 가슴압박 에너지(kg)측정 실험에 관한 연구 (Chest Compression Energy(kg) Measurement of 4 Types of Rescue Device on the Floor)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of high quality CPR using the 4 types of rescue device equipment and chest compressions energy measurement in pre-hospital settings. So, we used the mode to insert load cell in ALS Skill master Manikin to develop CFMM(Compression Force Measurement Manikin) on main stretcher, CPR board, long spine board, scoop stretcher and floor. And, our research team could know that the main stretcher needed average force of 32.55 (${\pm}1.01$) kg, CPR board of 27.23 (${\pm}1.08$) kg, long spine board of 27.13 (${\pm}1.18$) kg, Scoop Stretcher of 27.38 (${\pm}1.05$) kg and Floor of 27.24 (${\pm}0.93$) kg. CPR board must be necessary in the case of CPR on main stretcher in a moving ambulance. But if the condition of patient's back surface is the removable stretcher and the long spine plate, the patient doesn't have to be spent time to use a CPR board. Furthermore, this research suggests to consider that how to take advantage of the education to students for the equipment to check in real time the energy(kg) requirement of chest compressions.

실차 주행중 입력하중 계측 기법 개발 (Development of an Input Force Measuring Method for Vehicle Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 실차 성능 개선을 위하여 WFT를 이용하지 않고 주행중 입력 하중을 계측할 수 있는 기법을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 3축 하중이 계측이 될 수 있는 로드셀을 개발하였으며, 성능 검증을 수행하였다. 성능검증 이후에는 개발된 로드셀을 이용하여 입력 하중을 계측할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하였으며, 제안된 시스템을 제작하여 검증 평가를 수행하였다. 검증 평가 결과 순간적인 입력이 크게 들어오는 Impact 노면 조건을 제외한 대부분의 일상적인 노면 조건에서 제안된 시스템을 이용하여 실차 입력 하중 계측이 가능함을 확인하였으며, 핸들링 검증 평가를 통하여 타이어의 영향도에 대한 평가 시험까지 진행하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 입력하중 계측 기법을 이용하면 WFT를 이용하지 않고 성능 확인이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

3축 분력 측정이 가능한 대형 공구동력계 개발 (Development of Large-scale Tool Dynamometer for Measuring Three-axis Individual Force)

  • In modern society in which the fourth industrial revolution has come to the fore and rapid technology innovations are taking place, a phenomenon of making and selling small quantities of various products that consumers want instead of mass producing one item has emerged. As the market is moving toward the multi-item small-sized production system, there is a need for a system in which a machine independently judges and carries out machining and post-processing. In order for a machine to judge processing on its own, it is necessary to measure the force applied to a product. This study aimed to develop a large-scale dynamometer that enables three-axis measurement using octagonal ring load cells. As for the device's configuration, four octagonal ring load cells, which were previously researched, were used to enable three-axis measurement. It was reconfigured by modifying the attachment position of the octagonal ring load cells' strain gauge and the Wheatstone bridge of each axis, and a system was set up to allow the monitoring of data measured through the monitor. The configured device calculated a strain rate by an experiment, and this rate was compared with the theoretical strain rate to find a correction value. The correction value was entered into a formula, deriving a modified formula. The modified formula was entered into the device, which completed the large-scale dynamometer.

피부의 탄성변화에 따른 피부 가압과 복귀시간 측정을 통한 정량적 림프부종 진단 시스템 개발 (Development of Quantitative Lymphedema Screening System to Monitor Change in Skin Elasticity through the Measurement of Indentation Force and Return Time)

  • Lymphedema is a phenomenon in which fluid is accumulated inside tissues due to the damaged lymphatic systems. Lymphedema can cause complications such as lymphangitis, infection, changes in skin texture, fibrosis, and lymphangiosarcoma. In this study, a lymphedema screening system based on the elasticity of the skin is proposed to easily quantify lymphedema. The developed probe consists of touch sensors, a load cell and hall-effect sensors to measure the indentation force on the skin and the return time of the skin. The developed system can be used to estimate the change in the elasticity of the skin to quantify lymphedema. The system was tested with a thyroid phantom and gelatin phantoms of different concentrations and the resulting force and the time were recorded. It was found that the increase in the elasticity leads to a higher indentation force and shorter return time. This shows that the developed system can monitor the change in the skin elasticity by measuring the return time and the indentation force. The feasibility of the system in clinical applications will be evaluated in the future study.

6분력계의 설계와 제작에 관한 연구 (A Design and Manufacture of 6-Component Load Cell)

  • 6분력계를 (Fx=Fy=Fz=10Kg, Mx=My=Mz=1Kg-m) 설계하고 제작하여 검증시험을 실시하였다. 설계된 검력계는 순수 굽힘모오먼트를 받는 보를 적절히 배치하는 형식의 일체형 6분력계로, 스트레인 게이지와 휘스턴회로를 이용한 것이다. 개발된 검력계의 정밀 검정시험을 통하여 특성을 파악하고 힘의 성분간에 간섭을 계산된 영향계수를 이용하여 분리하였다. 반복된 검정시험을 통하여 개발된 검력계의 정확도와 신뢰도를 확인할 수 있었으며, 축적된 경험은 앞으로의 실용적이고 신뢰도 높은 각종 검력계의 설계 및 제작에 도움을 줄 수 있을것으로 믿어진다.
