발파진동에 의한 절리암반 지하공동의 낙석발생 예측에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study for Prediction of Rock Falls Around Jointed Limestone Underground Opening due to Blast Vibration)

  • 최근 석회석광산은 분진 소음 등 환경적인 문제와 함께 석회석 품위 저하 현상으로 갱내 채광이 증가하고 있다. 석회석을 파쇄시키기 위한 파쇄 시설을 갱내 설치하려면 대규모 지하공동이 필요하게 되며, 공동의 규모가 커짐에 따라 낙석이나 낙반의 발생 가능성이 높아지게 된다. 그리고 석회석 지하공동 주변 암반은 다양한 절리가 발달하여 낙석 발생에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 채광 발파 시 대형갱도 내 낙석발생 여부 관찰과 발파진동 계측을 수행하여, 이를 바탕으로 불연속면 수치해석 소프트웨어인 UDEC를 이용하여 절리암반 동해석 모델을 제안하고 발파진동 여기에 의한 대형 지하갱도의 낙석 발생을 해석하였다. 또한 절리암반 모델에 다양한 절리특성(경사각, 간격)의 변화와 발파굴착 손상영역을 고려하였다.

  • Although various laws and regulations have been put in place to prevent slips and falls, many accidents still occur. In this study, the root cause of slips and falls not decreasing were investigated. There are five types of slip resistance test methods in the Korean Industrial Standards (KS). Namely, KS F 2375:2016, KS F 2601:2020, KS F 2602:2016, KS L 1001:2020, and KS G 5821-1:2020 are listed. These test methods are cited in building certification standards (BF and G-SEED), construction specifications, and other documents that specify slip safety criteria. As a result of the investigation, a number of errors in KS regulations and legal text, errors in the manufacture and operation of slip testers, and errors in the use of measured values were found. These errors threaten the public life safety and disrupt industrial sites, and must be corrected immediately.

사례 중심의 손상외인코드 별 낙상환자 빈도수 분석에 따른 주진단코드 연구 (A Study on the Main Diagnostic Code according to the Analysis of the Frequency of Fall Patients by Case-Centered Damage External Code)

  • 본 연구는 강원도 강릉시에 위치한 A기관의 2020년부터 2021년 중심 데이터로 손상으로 입원한 환자를 손상외인코드를 통해 낙상환자를 분석하고자 하였다. 낙상환자의 손상외인코드인 W00부터 W19까지 20건의 코드를 분류한 후, 많이 발생한 W18, W01, W10, W13을 분석하였다. 손상외인코드 W18은 동일 면상에서의 기타 낙상으로 S72, Z47의 빈도수가 가장 많았으며, S72는 대퇴골의 골절, Z47은 정형외과적 추적치료이다. 손상외인코드 W01은 미끄러짐, 걸림 및 헛디딤에 의한 동일 면상에서의 낙상으로 W18과 같이 대퇴골의 골절인 S72와 정형외과적 추적치료 Z47이 많이 나타나는 것으로 판단하였다. W10은 계단에서의 낙상으로 뇌진탕, 경막외출혈 등이 있는 두개내손상 S06이 많이 나타났다. 마지막으로 W13은 빌딩 또는 구조물에서의 낙상으로 40대~70대에서 91%가 발생하여 중장년층이 많이 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, Z47은 정형외과적 추적치료가 가장 많았으며, S72는 대퇴골의 골절이 두 번째로 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 낙상환자의 빈도수를 분석하여 낙상사고별 많이 발생하는 나이와 주진단코드를 분석하였다.

Comparison of the Changes in the Activation of the Quadriceps Muscle based on the Plantar Flexion Degree of the Ankle Joint in Healthy Young Females during the Stand-to-Sit movement

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the changes in the muscle activation of the quadriceps muscle (rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis) during the stand-to-sit (StandTS) movement according to the plantar flexion angle of the ankle joint. Methods: A total of 22 healthy young females participated in this study. During the StandTS under the three conditions (plantarflexion angle 0°, 20°, and 45° of the ankle), electromyography (EMG) data (% maximum voluntary iso¬metric contraction) of the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, and vastus medialis were recorded using a wireless surface EMG system. Results: There was a significant difference in the muscle activation of rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, and vastus medialis according to the plantar flexion angle (0°, 20°, and 45°) of the ankle. The muscle activation of the quadriceps was the highest at a 45° angle of plantarflexion and the lowest at 0°. One-way repeated ANOVA was used to analyze the muscle activation data of the lower extremity muscles according to the angle of the ankle joint. Conclusion: Based on the results of our study, it was confirmed that the muscle activity of the quadriceps can be increased even in the StandTS movement, which involves the eccentric contraction of the quadriceps muscle. This suggests that maintaining a plantar flexion posture for a long time, say by wearing high-heeled shoes, can quickly cause muscle fatigue in the lower-limb muscles, which can cause a decrease in balance ability leading to falls.

  • Recently, carelessness on safety management in construction sites has caused a sharper upward trend in accidents and disasters, compared to the past. Therefore, this study analyzes the causes of accidents that occurred on construction sites in the year of 2010, and proposes preventive measures. The construction industry had a heavy death rate with 279 out of 418 deaths from falls in all industrial sites, accounting for 66.7%. And the causation analysis found a particularly high incidence of temporary structure-related accidents, with falling off scaffolding as the most common cause of accidents. According to the causation analysis of fall-down accident cases, accidents induced by protrusion on construction sites are a big contributor resulting in the deaths of 312, accounting for 74.8%, which is deemed to be due to site disorderliness. And to remove floor protrusions and to secure workers' traffic line and safety, neat and thorough site arrangement is necessary. Against collision, efforts must be made to prevent equipment-pedestrian crashes on site, which necessarily requires emergency lamps, alarm bells, and safety poles and blocks to be installed, lighting systems to be improved, obstacles to be removed, site supervisors to be assigned to construction equipment works, and workers to be more intensely trained and supervised.

Etiology and Patterns of Maxillofacial Fractures in 518 patients in Korea

  • Purpose: Different patterns in the causes of maxillofacial injury are thought to correlate with socioeconomic status and regional environment. This study investigated maxillofacial fractures in order to analyze maxillofacial trauma characteristics and the relationship between the causes and injury patterns in Korea. Material and methods: A total of 518 patients with maxillofacial fractures who were treated at the Seoul National University Boramae Hospital between 1996 and 2004 were retrospectively analyzed. Data were obtained from the patients' medical records and radiographs. The male to female ratio in the patient group was 2.78:1, and the mean age was 32.3 years. Results: Midfacial fractures were the most common location of injury (46.1%). The most common etiologic factor was an activity associated with daily life (42.6%) including falls, stumbling, and collisions. The second most common cause was assault (32.4%), followed by traffic accidents (13.7%). In the case of midfacial fractures and mandibular fractures, assault was the most common etiologic factor, whereas in the case of alveolar bone fractures, activities associated with daily life were the most common cause. With regard to age groups, assault was the most common cause for patients between 10 and 39 years old and an activity associated with daily life was the most common cause in those under 10 years and over 40 years. Conclusions: This study concluded that activities associated with daily life and assault causes a large proportion of Korean maxillofacial injuries and that preventive measures should be implemented in order to minimize these risks.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the Characteristic of Block Plans related to site types of Elementary Schools in Kangju city. With analysis of 17 elementary school plans, we reached same conclusions. First, there is a possibility of seeing 4 examples that contiguity road condition and proportion of site, neighborhood park location, district units planning, which as classification the condition to feature of location. But the condition which is considered actually from Block Plan appeared with only contiguity road condition and district units planning two onlines. Second, despite there are elements having the possibility effecting to Block Plan, some arrangement forms are repeatedly used. There is a possibility of searching for that cause that it falls in mannerism of space form, type and place when it follows the arrangement form of existing defined as school.

전기철도 정역방향 고장점표정 방법을 통한 정확도 향상을 위한 연구 (Analysis on the Method of Forward-Reverse Fault localization of Electric Railways for the Improvement of Accuracy)

  • The number of electric railway failures will increase due to the external and internal effects of electric railroads. The grounding test with 25,000V is to artificially test the transmission voltage to ground, and it is possible to cause risks of electric shock and other equipment insulation damage in neighboring enclosure. In 2016, method of fault localization changed to low - voltage at 380V from artificially high- voltage in the grounding tests since opening of Seoul Metropolitan Express Railway; The method is more accurate and safer rather than the previous one because it gets more data from unlimited grounding tests. However, an electric current falls on the track section where the track branches and vehicle bases with many lines. To precisely detect a transitive phenomenon, it is necessary to continuously study and additionally install.

  • Falls are the main cause of serious injuries and accidental deaths in people over the age of 65. Due to widespread adoption of smartphones, there has been a growing interest in the use of smartphones for detecting human behavior and activities. Modern smartphones are equipped with a wide variety of sensors such as an accelerometer, a gyroscope, camera, GPS, digital compass and microphone. In this paper, we introduce a new method that determines the fall direction of human subjects by analyzing the three axis components of acceleration vector.
