  • CCD differential photometry was carried out for seven stars in the "New Catalogue of Suspected Variable Stars" in order to discover new short-period pulsating variables such as low and high amplitude $\delta$Scuti stars and RR Lyrate stars. It was found that NSV1132, NSV3031, and NSV5119 are RRs, Irregular, and low amplitude $\delta$Scuti type variables respectively.

  • Making use of log $T_{eff}-M_{bol}$ diagram along with Stohers' stellar evolutionary tracks (1972), we estimated the masses of 107 O stars in HII regions, which were selected from the catalogue compiled by Goy (1973). It is found that our estimated masses of O stars range from $20M_{\odot}\;to\;120M_{\odot}$ and about 20% of them falls in the mass range above $60M_{\odot}$ in agreement with earlier findings of Conti et al. (1975).

  • We discuss a new IRAS Faint Source Catalog galaxy redshift catalogue (RIFSCz) which incorporates data from Galex, SDSS, 2MASS, WISE, AKARI and Planck. AKARI fluxes are consistent with photometry from other far infrared and submillimetre missions provided an aperture correction is applied. Results from the Hermes-SWIRE survey in Lockman are also discussed briefly, and the strong contrast between the galaxy populations selected at 60 and $500{\mu}m$ is summarized.

  • We obtained three-color composite. images of 78 celestial objects most of which are listed in Messier catalogue. In order to make color images, 118 raw image sets were taken with B, V, R, I and H-alpha filters. We used the 2k CCD camera attached to the 1.8 m telescope of Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory. These composite images are to be used for educational purposes or public releases. The images are presented on the website, http://www.boao.re.kr/-ybjeon/boao_images.htrnl.

  • We have carried out $^{13}CO$ J = 1 $\to$ 0 line observations with spatial resolution of 2' toward 17 small globules selected from the catalogue of Clemens & Barvainis (1988) with a selection criterion of [b] $\ge$ 15 degrees using the Nagoya 4-m radio telescope. Overall characteristics and physical parameters are presented and discussed by examining the $^{13}CO$ integrated intensity map for each of the globules.

  • The ages of field stars given in the catalogue of Cayrel de Strobel et al. (1985) are derived by the five different methods with combination of theoretical isochrones. By using these ages and metal abundances homogenized by Lee and Choe (1988), the age-metallicity relations are obtained. For disk stars of [Fe/H] > -0.9, the present age-metallicity relations are nearly consistent with those given by Twarog (1980) and Carlberg et al. (1985).

  • On the framework of stochastic gravitational wave background(SGWB) by compact binary systems, we studied the strain spectra of SGWB produced by cosmological cataclysmic variables(CV). For this we reviewed the empirical properties of CVs by using newly published CV catalogue and calculated the cosmological densities of CVs considering the galaxy luminosity function and cosmic stellar birth rate function. Assuming the secular evolution of CVs, we calculated the time scale of CV gravitational wave(GW) radiation and derived formulae for the strain spectra of SGWB by cosmological CVs.

  • In this project, all available databases of molecular and gas-dust clouds in the Galaxy were cross-identified by taking into account available properties, including position, angular dimensions, velocity, density, temperature and mass. An initial list of about 7000 entries was condensed into a cross-identified all-sky catalogue containing molecular and gas-dust clouds. Some relationships were studied between the main physical features of clouds. Finally, we prepared a complex observing program and address future work for filling in the gaps.
