  • There is a growing movement of cartoon and animation circles to legislate the cartoon promotion act. It is anticipated that a wind of change will blow through the cartoon circle as private organizations are planned to established and a budget over 20 billion won is allocated. Although it is very encouraging for colleges who perform a substantial role in introducing new authors, a full internal discussion on the cartoon promotion act is still at a fledgling stage. Currently, the college restructuring craze is sweeping the country and cartoon animation education program can not be an exception. Especially, the irony of helping graduates who desire to be authors find jobs and expressing it as a statistical figure is too burdensome and worn out to regard it as an indiscretion of government. This study aims to examine the problems of cartoon animation college programs in South Korea by focusing on graduates' job-finding and career planning and to propose solutions through the legislation of cartoon promotion act.

  • Despite the importance of sexual life of the aged, it is almost disregarded due to the Confucius value system and bias. The common people's view on the sex of the aged was clearly demonstrated by their attitude toward a movie entitled "I love it though I might die" which was determined "18 Age over"being awareness of its explicit sexual intercourse and several lied on the discussion. For this reason, the sex of the aged is clandestinely revealed and uses to receive publicity for sexual assault for children, sexual crime, and illegal prostitution in parks. And social atmosphere that prevents open discussion of the sexof the aged increases in the number of suffering aged in reality, and it causes the decrease of life quality of them. In this circumstance, cartoon contents can be perfectly used for sex education for them. Entertainment character and genre character of cartoon contents can deliver the understanding of sex rather voluntarily and easily to the aged and it can be used as a tool to motivate by indirect experience and to enhance efficient understanding.

  • The question acutely raised regarding Korea's entrance test is not just a matter of yesterday or today. It is not an exception to cartoon related fields, which lack of creativity and patterning trend, problems according to the types of autonomous performance tests for each school, problem of evaluation are being pointed out. As such alternative, methods such as expansion of time for performance test, introduction of extra performance test for evaluating creativity, and public sector exclusively taking in charge of creativity evaluation, and etc. will be made as the subject of discussion. Therefore, the most important assumption is to establish what Universities are intending to teach to students first, and to teach such thing, the questions of their entrance tests should contain relevant criteria so that students with relevant abilities would be selected. Even after entering school, constant monitoring would be necessary, and if it shows different results as expected, the criteria should be reviewed again. As such, the reason for Universities requiring much things is because the Universities are, the subject of student selection, the subject which requires certain abilities to students, and the subject of evaluation. Therefore, it is because a University can achieve its original purpose only when good talented students are obtained through such process of selection and are developed through education.

  • Government set violence as one of the important criteria when it rates movies or TV programs for juveniles. The purpose of selling this criteria is to prohibit the violence in TV programs or movies from affecting the actual behavior of juveniles. However, it is still under discussion how much the violence in broadcasting media actually affects juvenile violence. Korea once carried out a social experiment on juvenile violence media. Back in 1970, violent animation was popular in Korea and Korean government completely banned televising violent animations from September 1980 in an effort to prevent juvenile violence. Investigating the effect of this policy on juvenile violence would draw some implications. The result shows that the policy to ban violent animation in September 1980 didn't have meaningful effect on the trend of juvenile violence. The implication from this paper is that there is no certain cause-and-effect relationship between violent animation and juvenile violence. Another implication is that In-depth discussion is needed if this governmen4 policy is violating the juvenile's right to choose public media.

  • The purpose of this study was to concentrate on macroscopic discussion about how the recurrence of actual case in move is accepted ideologically. When considering the characteristic that non-visual factors are embodied when movie image reflects a certain target, the issue of recurrence has always caused discussion. Regardless of its independence or dependence, one individual's experience can be similar to sensual recognition but it can't be identical. Therefore, 'the truth recurred by movie' can't be real 'truth'. When director expresses the target, the aesthetic intention gives an effect to audience's emotion and recognition, Therefore, the study tries to review whether the movie truth drawn by movie can reach the possibility of epistemology agreement.

These are the attempts approved by the viewpoint of the 'Korean beauty'. In saying so, minwha symbolizes for typical types of Korean painting, and is articulated as an aspect of forgotten spirit. However, despite the fact of Minwha's frequent application, and its evident originality, it remains only the thread of the existence. Although minwha has a lot of commonalities and similarities with the characteristics of cartooning, a decisive attempt of cartooning is hardly shown through. Therefore, this paper is aim to classify creative paintings by the distinctive features of minwha, such as exaggeration and abridgment, sarcasm and current affair aspect, common technique of art drawing, caricatured element, expression of an ideal world, various techniques from artist's different comprehension, etcetera and to make opportunity to constructively apply these features in cartoons. The types of minwha are mostly classified by the contents of the painting. However, since the purpose of this thesis is to find caricatured aspects in minwha, it will be largely classified by the elements of animal, plant, human, insect species, finny tribe, feathered tribe, and nature phenomenon. This classification takes advantage of accessibility to understand the characterization of the object, and leads to take a positive approach.
