The purpose of this study is to help the students in middle school improve their English listening comprehension by presenting effective teaching and learning techniques using animation. A good animation provides a self-contained world with language expressed in a virtual context. A few animation such as "Mulan", "The Emperor's New Clothes", and "Gulliver's Travel" are presented. The materials are primarily for English listening comprehension, enhance awareness of American culture and life-styles, and to encourage students' active role in learning English. It is suggested that their use with content-based instruction, where animation provides relevant schema background, makes language relevant and comprehensible. Practical aspects of classroom instruction are discussed, focusing on the adaption of pre-viewing, while-viewing, and post-viewing activities to the selected animation. It is concluded that careful animation selection, purposeful lesson planning, and the integration of pre-viewing, while-viewing, and post-viewing activities into the content-based lesson encourage natural language skills, especially the listening comprehension and students' interest in English.

Because the damages of corrosion resulting from the chloride ion are very serious, many research studies have been performed to measure the penetration depth of the chloride ion. However, there is a problem with data selection obtained from collection during experiments. After careful study, it appears that the collected data are not conformed to a normal distribution. The result of this study will play a very important role, as a first step for the development and construction of a forecasting system to help determine a reliable service lifetime of marine structures.

That the arbitration will begin with an arbitrator to be done by the arbitrator is not too much to say. The arbitrator shall have a decisive influence on the outcome of an arbitration in any arbitral right to award arbitration. As demonstrated in sayings like "Good arbitration is a good arbitrator" and "Arbitration is as arbitrator", professionalism and fairness are the basis for the arbitration procedure. Parties qualifications and authority of the arbitrator shall be a dispute-resolution process, requiring special attention and special care because the careful review of the arbitration award itself exerts a significant influence on the selection of an arbitrator. Therefore, this paper, first, analyzes the meaning of international arbitrators as a general overview of international arbitrators, qualifications, etc. and looks for focuses of the role. Next, the purpose of this paper is to seek ways to expand trade and international arbitration institutions in international transactions by examining training plans such as for international arbitrators.

Concerns of entomopathogenic fungi as alternative pest control agents are increasing even though chemical pesticides have been used as the main control agents for pests and diseases in crop production. This study was conducted to test the influence of fungicides and insecticides on an isolate of Lecanicillium attenuatum that was reported to have the pathogenicity against cotton aphid, because fungicides and/or insecticides can apply with mycopesticides simultaneous, before and/or after. Fungicides fenbuconazole+thiram and propineb inhibited the spore germination and mycelial growth of L. attenuatum CS625; dimethomorph and procymidone did not affect spore germination or mycelial growth. The insecticide abamectin, deltamethrin, imidachropride, and spinosad had no detrimental effects on spore germination or mycelial growth. Therefore, these results demonstrated that careful selection of pesticides and fungicides can be applied to the integrated pest and disease control with microbial pesticide.

Power driving shaft systems with reduction gear are frequently equipped with elastic couplings to protect reduction gears and to relieve the torsional vibration problems. In this study, torsional vibration characteristics for the engine shafting system with elastic couplings are investigated and the calculating program is developed. It is confirmed that torsional vibration can be controled by careful selection of a elastic coupling with suitable characteristics and the suitability of a elastic coupling can only be determined as a result of a complete torsional vibration analysis including engine conditions such as misfring for shafting system.

Super-selective renal artery embolization is an increasingly popular technique for the management of traumatic, low-grade renal trauma. When performed in distal arterial branches, this intervention enables tissue preservation and arrest of hemorrhage, but it may not be practical in cases of multifocal, high-grade renal injuries. In such cases, surgical nephrectomy remains the more common treatment modality to ensure hemodynamic control. We present the unique case of a patient who presented in hemorrhagic shock following a major trauma that resulted in a grade 5 renal injury treated with complete renal artery embolization using Gelfoam, resulting in hemodynamic stabilization. Interestingly, imaging 1 month after embolization revealed residual enhancement of the inferior pole of the kidney, suggesting reconstitution of flow and partial renal salvage. Ultimately, transcatheter "nephrectomy" with careful selection of a temporary embolic agent may serve as a safe and efficient alternative to surgical nephrectomy with the added possibility of preserving partial renal perfusion and function in the emergent setting.

We report on a series of science articles presented in the Children's magazine 고래가그랬어. The monthly articles (appearing since 2016) highlight current issues in Physics and Astronomy with particular emphasis on science being conducted in Korea. Reporting is performed by interviewing experts in their respective fields. In an effort to encourage children to envisage themselves as scientists, interviews are taken predominantly from Korean early-career researchers. Gender balance is obtained through a careful selection of interviewees ensuring that children are exposed to a broad cross-section of science researchers. This series has introduced children to the 1st detection of Gravitational Waves, the KMTnet telescope system, the Korean Very Long Baseline Interferometric Network, KGMT, IBS Axion experiments, and many other experiments and discoveries.

Toxoplasma gondii is an intracellular parasitic organism affecting all warm-blooded vertebrates. Due to the unavailability of commercialized human T. gondii vaccine, many studies have been reported investigating the protective efficacy of pre-clinical T. gondii vaccines expressing diverse antigens. Careful antigen selection and implementing multifarious immunization strategies could enhance protection against toxoplasmosis in animal models. Although none of the available vaccines could remove the tissue-dwelling parasites from the host organism, findings from these pre-clinical toxoplasmosis vaccine studies highlighted their developmental potential and provided insights into rational vaccine design. We herein explored the progress of T. gondii vaccine development using DNA, protein subunit, and virus-like particle vaccine platforms. Specifically, we summarized the findings from the pre-clinical toxoplasmosis vaccine studies involving T. gondii challenge infection in mice published in the past 5 years.

The purpose of the Present research is to investigate the effect of fashion lifestyle on babies' clothing shopping attitude of housewives. In this study shopping attitude includes criteria for shop selection prefered types of shop and prefered shop atmosphere. Subjects are 447 housewives residing in Seoul Bundang Illsan and Pungchon and having child under 4 years old Data was analyzed by factor analysis cluster analysis analysis of variance and chi-square. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Housewives can be classified into four groups according to their fashion lifestyle the group of planned buying conservative/practical group the group of self-actualization/individuality and the high involved and care for shopping group. 2. Fashion lifestyle is different according to their age. The high involved and care for shopping group have the lager proportion in twenties than thirties. The conservative/practical group have a larger proportion in thirties. 3. The factors of shop selection which serve as criteria for shop the quality of service encironment anround shop quality of goods convenience to care about babies fashionable goods location of the shop and price of goods. The group of self actualization/personality prefers shops carrying fashionable and unique style of babies clothing and showing prestige. The conservative/practical group prefers shops carrying good quality clothing and having variety in size and design. The high involved and careful shopping group prefers shops having wide space as well as carrying fashionable goods. 4. Among the types of babies clothing shops. department stroe is the most preferred Low-price brand shop is followed by traditional open market. The conservative/practical group and the group of planned shopping use department strores national bran shops street shops and import shops more often than other groups. 5. The result of the study indicates there are considerable differences in housewives attitudes of babies clothing shopping acording to their own fashion lifestyle. Therefore the retailer of babies clothing should decide their marketing policy on the basis of the understanding and analysis of costomer's fashion lifestyle. And they have to reflect their costomer's shopping attitudes on their marketing policy to improve the satisfaction of both consumer and retailer as well.

본 연구에서는 ERP 시스템에 대한 전체적인 개관을 살펴본 후 소프트웨어 패키지의 선정과 관련된 기존 연구들을 정리하였다. 그리고 ERP 시스템의 구현에 따르는 변화 유형을 프로세스 및 기술 변화에 따라 분류하고 이러한 변화 유형에 따라 예상될 수 있는 위험 유형을 제시한 후 국내 기업들에 대한 사례 연구를 통하여 이를 분석하고 검증하였다. 본 연구의 의의로는 첫째, ERP 시스템의 구현이 가속화되고 있는 시점에서 구현 목적이 부합되고 예상되는 위험은 경감시킬 수 있는 시스템을 선정할 수 있도록 개념적 틀을 제시하였다. 둘째 ERP 시스템에 대한 연구가 미비한 실정에서 국내 기업들의 ERP 사례 연구를 통하여 다소나마 실무자들이 ERP 구현에 참고할 수 있는 연구가 되고자 노력하였다는 점이다. 셋째, e-비즈니스 환경에서 SCM과 CRM이 성공하기 위해서는 ERP 구현과 실행에 따른 위험을 최소화 할 수 있는 시스템이 선정이 전제되어야 함을 알 수 있다. 그러므로 글로벌시대의 기업들은 SCM과 CRM의 성공을 위한 ERP의 전략적 활용으로 기업 조직내 구성원을 변화시켜 성공적 경영혁신을 이룰 수 있다고 판단된다.
