경력단절 간호사의 재취업교육 프로그램 개발과 운영 (The Development and Management of a Re-entry Program for Inactive Registered Nurses)

  • Purpose: The study was aimed to suggest a model re-entry program into the job market for inactive registered nurses, based on the development and management of a program and the evaluation of its efficiency. Method: The participants in the program were 82 inactive nurses and the development and evaluation of the program followed ADDIE. To develop the program, general characteristics and demand on re-entry into the job market were investigated. Satisfaction level of the program and confidence in nursing practice were measured to evaluate it. Result: Participants were 45 years old, had 6 years' clinical experience, and had 14 inactive career years on average. The program included basic and core education courses, and a clinical course. The participants were satisfied with its management, and 80.3 percent of them agreed with the need for the program. Also, clinical sites and instructors in the clinical course were satisfactory. Participants gained high confidence in nursing practice skills. Conclusion: The study showed the goal of the program was accomplished by motivating inactive nurses for re-entry to the work force and enhancing capability in duty. The program needs standardizing, and field adaptability should be strengthened through clinical practice. An evaluation tool for the program has to be developed.

간호대학생의 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 예측요인 (Predictors of College Life Adjustment among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응 및 하위 구성요소에 영향을 미치는 예측요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구이다. 연구대상자는 간호학과 1학년 282명을 대상으로 하였고, 대학생활 적응, 심리적 안녕감, 감성지능, 자기효능감 정도를 설문지로 측정하였다. 자료수집기간은 2016년 9월 22일부터 10월 7일까지이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응은 평균평점 3.36점이었고, 하위 구성요소는 학업진로가 가장 높았고, 개인심리, 사회체험, 대인관계, 진로준비 순이었다. 대학생활 적응 및 하위 구성요소는 심리적 안녕감, 감성지능 및 자기효능감과 유의한 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 대학생활 적응을 예측하는 가장 강력한 변수는 자기효능감이었고, 하위 구성요소인 학업활동은 학교성적, 진로준비는 자기효능감, 개인심리와 사회체험은 감성지능, 대인관계는 심리적 안녕감으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응 및 하위 구성요소에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 충분히 반영하여 대학생활 적응 향상 프로그램을 개발해야 할 것이다.

성역할정체감에 따른 치위생 전공선택 및 직업의식에 관한 조사 (Effect of gender role identity on choice of dental hygiene and professionalism)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of gender role identity on major choice, and preference and choice of job for applicants of dental hygiene department. Methods: The subjects were 202 high school girl students visiting K university in October, 2014 and in January, 2015 for the interview of early and regular admission to the university. The questionnaire consisted of 3 questions of general characteristics of the subjects, 40 questions of gender role identity, and 6 questions of career choice factors. Gender role identity included 15 questions of masculinity, 15 questions of feminity, and 10 questions of neutral gender using instrument of Kim by Likert scale. Cronbach's alpha of masculinity, feminity, and neutral gender was 0.810, 0.762, and 0.801 respectively. The data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test with SPSS Win 12.0. Results: The effects of gender role identity on major choice and professionalism were as follows. In major choice motivation, psychological type, feminity type and masculinity types selected aptitude, professional sustainability and recommendation by acquaintance in order, but undifferentiated type selected aptitude, recommendation by acquaintance and professional sustainability in order. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.05). In major choice information, psychological, feminity and undifferentiated types prefer indirect experience but masculinity type prefers direct experience. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.05) In job selection, psychological, feminity and undifferentiated types want to do assistant works rather than oral health prevention and education. Masculinity type want to do oral health prevention and education rather than assistant work. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.001). Conclusions: The gender role identity affected the factors related to choice of major and job in dental hygiene major applicants. It is necessary to provide the career choice program for the high school students by personality types and gender role identity types.

일 상급종합병원 암환자 고객경험관리 (Customer Experience Management for Cancer Patients in a Tertiary Hospital)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of customer experience management on nursing service satisfaction of cancer patients and their intent to revisit the hospital and also to identify empathy ability of oncology nurses. Methods: Participants were 376 cancer patients and 190 oncology nurses from a tertiary hospital in Korea. Cancer patients' satisfaction with nursing care and intent to continue using the hospital were measured and empathy of oncology nurses was measured using Empathy Construct Rating Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, one-way ANOVA and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results: Patient satisfaction with nursing care and intent to continue using the hospital were higher in patients who received the customer experience management program than those who did not. Oncology nurses' ability to empathize was high. Clinical career, participate in customer experience management and education level together explained 20% of variance in empathy ability of oncology nurses. Conclusion: Findings from this study confirm that customer experience management affects patient satisfaction with nursing service and intent to continue using the hospital. Further research is necessary to reaffirm the empathy ability of the oncology nurses and to identify the related various factors.

중소병원 간호사의 투약 근접오류경험 영향요인 (Influencing Factors of Near Miss Experience on Medication in Small and Medium-Sized Hospital Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 중소병원 간호사의 투약 근접오류경험의 영향요인을 확인하여 근접오류 예방과 안전한 투약간호를 위한 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공함으로써 중소병원의 환자안전문화 구축에 기여하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS/WIN 20.0을 이용하여 𝑥2-test, Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Logistic regression analysis를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 투약 근접오류경험에 영향을 미치는 요인은 일반적 특성 중 근무부서와 환자안전문화였다. 모수 추정치 값의 승산비(odds ratio)는 특수부서 근무자보다 일반병동 근무자가 근접오류를 경험하지 않을 교차비가 2.23(95% 신뢰구간: 1.07~4.67, p=.032)이었으며, 환자안전문화 점수가 1점 증가할 때 근접오류를 경험하지 않을 교차비가 2.24(95% 신뢰구간: 1.02~4.95, p=.045)인 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 특수부서 근무자가 일반병동 근무자보다 근접오류를 경험할 확률이 높고, 환자안전문화 인식정도가 높을수록 근접오류를 경험할 확률이 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 간호사들의 환자안전문화 인식 개선을 위한 병원차원의 오류감시시스템의 개발과 간호조직 차원에서 경력 및 부서별 특성에 따른 맞춤형 투약교육 프로그램을 개발하여 이론 교육과 함께 시뮬레이션 훈련이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

유아교육과 신입생 멘토링 프로그램에 참여한 멘티의 경험의 의미 (The meaning of the mentee's experiences who participated in the mentoring program for freshmen of department of early childhood education)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육과 신입생을 대상으로 한 멘토링 프로그램의 멘티인 신입생의 경험과 그 의미를 드러내는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 3년제 대학 유아교육과 1학년 13명이었다. 연구 자료의 수집은 2010년 3월 21일에서 2010년 9월 9일에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 수집한 자료는 멘토링 프로그램에 참여한 후 멘티들이 기록한 저널, 서술식 질문지, 면담자료이다. 이러한 자료들은 세그멘팅, 초기 코딩, 심층 코딩의 과정으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 멘티들은 첫 만남에서 독특한 경험과 감정, 관계형성에 대한 기대감, 멘토로부터 얻는 다양한 정보들을 경험하였고, 전체 프로그램에서 시간관리, 발표 방법, 자료 찾는 방법, 시험 잘 보는 요령, 진로설계 등을 배우고 실천하였다. 그러나 멘토들과의 사적인 만남이 없어 아쉬웠다는 경험도 이야기 하였다. 멘티들은 이러한 멘토링 경험을 인생에서 좀처럼 만나기 힘든 행운이라 생각하게 되어서, 이후 자신이 받은 것을 멘토, 예비 후배와 나누고 싶은 마음이 생겼다. 한편으로 멘티들은 멘토와의 관계 교류 보강을 포함하는 더 진보된 멘토링 프로그램을 제안하기도 하였다.

치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정적 사고, 학업적 자기효능감이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향요인 (Influence Factors of Positive Thinking and Academic Self-Efficacy on School Adjustment of Freshman Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정적 사고와 학업적 자기효능감, 학교생활 적응 정도를 파악하고, 그 관련성을 규명하며 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응에 영향을 주는 요인을 확인하여 치위생(학)과 신입생들이 학교생활 적응도를 높이는데 도움을 주고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 2019년 10월 1일부터 10월 21일까지 경기도·충청도·전라도·경상도 지역의 치위생(학)과 신입생 213명을 대상으로 임의추출 하여 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였다. 연구결과, 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응에 유의한 영향은 학업적 자기효능감, 긍정적 사고, 진로체험 경험 순이었고, 가장 영향을 주는 요인은 학업적 자기효능감이었으며, 설명력은 47.7%이었다. 본 연구는 일부 치위생(학)과 신입생을 대상으로 조사되어 연구를 진행하였기에 결과를 일반화하기는 한계가 있어 후속연구에서는 긍정적 사고와 학업적 자기효능감이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 다양한 변인에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요할 것이다. 그러나 본 연구를 토대로 학교생활 적응과 관련된 선행연구를 보완할 수 있는 자료로 활용 가능하다는 것에 의의가 있으며, 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응과 관련된 요인을 제시함으로써 학교생활 적응 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 확인한 기초자료가 되었다고 생각된다.

손위생에 대한 병원간호사의 지식과 신념 (Knowledge and Beliefs about Hand Hygiene among Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe hospital nurses' knowledge and beliefs about hand hygiene and to identify the relationships between knowledge and beliefs. Methods: Data were collected from 232 nurses working in four university hospitals and were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The mean score of knowledge of hand hygiene was 8.1. The mean scores of behavioral, normative, and control belief about hand hygiene were 2.3, 2.5, and -0.7, respectively. Knowledge was correlated with educational level (p=.013) and experience of hand hygiene campaign (p=.018). The behavioral belief was correlated with age (p<.001) and career (p=.002). The normative belief was correlated with work department (p=.007). The control belief was correlated with educational level (p=.043) and experience of being monitored on hand hygiene (p=.010). The subjects who believed that head nurses, charge nurses, and colleagues practiced better hand hygiene had higher behavioral and normative belief scores than those who did not. There were no significant relationships between knowledge and beliefs. Conclusion: There is a need to improve knowledge of hand hygiene in hospital nurses. This study provides information for developing strategies to strengthen beliefs about hand hygiene.

치과위생사의 직업기대에 관한 연구 (A study on dental hygienists' job expectation)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to grasp association with dental hygienists' job expectation through correlation between curricular subjects for the department of dental hygiene and job. Methods : It carried out convenience sampling of dental hospitals where are located in Capital Area, and then conducted a self-administered questionnaire survey targeting 274 dental hygienists who are working here. The statistical program was analyzed by using PSAW 18.0. Results : Research subjects' 60.2% experienced turnover. Its reason accounted for 31.7% with the working condition. As a result of examining difference in experience of turnover according to dental hygienists' individual characteristic and working form, the significant difference was shown in age, marriage, annual salary, working institution, and career. In consequence of confirming association between curricular subjects and job, the majority showed high correlation. However, the correlation with oral physiology, clinical dental hygiene, and dental clinics showed low correlation as the insignificant variable. Conclusions : As a result of this study, the high correlation between curricular subjects and job can be considered to reflect dental hygienists' job expectation. On the other hand, the working condition, professional sense, and turnover experience, which are factors related to dental hygienists' job expectation, were indicated to fail to meet job expectation.

중환자실 간호사의 특성에 따른 실무교육 요구도 조사 (A Study on the In-service Education Needs according to Critical Care Nurses' Characteristics)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate in-service education needs in order to develop clinical competence of critical care nurses', and to identify contents which have to include in-service education according to nurses' characteristics. Methods: Data was collected using Critical Care Nurse Job Analysis Tool that was modified by professional team. Collected data was analyzed using the SPSS program. Results: Total 148 critical care nurses, who had worked at adult intensive care unit of one tertiary hospital in Seoul, filled out questionnaire. The results showed the participants highly needed education about cardiological nursing practices such as ECMO, pacemaker, cardiac tamponade. And there were significant correlations among in-service educational needs and ICU careers, preceptors experience, and charge nurse experience. Conclusion: It will be necessary for better nursing to develop in-service education is based on critical care nurse's need and their characteristics. Especially, it is important to develop and provide in-service education programs, which consider ICU nurse's differences for their career ladder and nursing preceptors.
