  • For the CNT-FED to be cost-effective, many efforts for the lower voltage operation have been made in the under-gate cathode structure. In this study, the effects of the frit proportion in the CNT paste, cathode electrode width, CNT-to-counter electrode gap, and the CNT length in the cathode structure were examined.

Ex Vivo Assay of Trace Nicotine Using a Voltammetric Modified Biosensor

  • In vivo nicotine is associated with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and lung cancer. Diagnostic assays of these diseases depend on very low analytical detection limits. In this study, a sensitive analytical method was examined using a voltammetric graphite pencil electrode (GPE) and a modified carbon nanotube paste electrode (CNE). The optimum analytical conditions for both electrodes were compared using square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SW) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) obtaining 400 sec accumulation time and oxidation peak. Under optimum parameters, the stripping working range of GPE was $5.0-40.0{\mu}g/L$, CNE: 0.1-0.8 and $5-50{\mu}g/L$. Quantification limits were $5.0{\mu}g/L$ for GPE and $0.1{\mu}g/L$ for CNE, while detection limits were $0.6{\mu}g/L$ for GPE and $0.07{\mu}g/L$ for CNE. A standard deviation of $10.0{\mu}g/L$ was observed for 0.064 GPE and 0.095 CNE (n = 12) using 400 sec accumulation time. The results obtained can be applied to non.treated urine and ex vivo biological diagnostics.

Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) 인쇄박막의 제작과 화학센서 동작 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fabrication of Multi-Walled Nanotubes (MWCNT) Based Thin Film and Chemical Sensor Operation Characteristics)

  • Hazardous and noxious substance (HNS) detection sensors were fabricated using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and various binder materials for ion batteries. To obtain uniformly printed films, the printing precision according to the substrate cleaning method was monitored, and the printing paste mixing ratio was investigated. Binders were prepared using styrene butadiene rubber + carboxymethyl cellulose (SBR+CMC), polyvinylidene fluoride + n-methyl-2-pyrrolidene (PVDF+NMP), and mixed with MWCNTs. The surface morphology of the printed films was examined using an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope, and their electrical properties are investigated using an I-V sourcemeter. Finally, sensing properties of MWCNT printed films were measured according to changes in the concentration of the chemical under the various applied voltages. In conclusion, the MWCNT printed films made of (SBR+CMC) were found to be feasible for application to the detection of hazardous and noxious chemicals spilled in seawater.

폭발물 오염토양에서 전기화학법을 이용한 RDX 흔적량의 분석 (Analysis for explosives in contaminated soil using the electrochemical method)

  • 순환전압전류법과 벗김전압 전류법을 사용한 폭발물(hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine, RDX)의 흔적량 분석을 위하여 double-stranded ds calf thymus (DNA)와 카본 나노튜브 혼합 전극을 사용하였으며. 최적 분석 조건을 시험한 결과 0.2 V vs. Ag/AgCl 전위에서 봉우리 전류를 발견하였다, 이 전위를 사용하여 선형분석 농도 범위: 50-75 ug/의 순환전압전류법과, 5-80 ng/L의 벗김 전압 전류법에 도달하였으며, 10 ug/L의 농도에서15번 반복 측정한 상대 표준편차는 0.086% 이었다. 또한 300초의 벗김 분석 조건에서 0.65 ng/L ($2.92{\times}10^{-12}M$) (S/N=3)의 검출 한계에 도달 하였으며, 이 조건에서 폭약에 오염된 토양중의 RDX 흔적량을 분석 응용하였다.

흑염소 간-조직과 Ferrocene 매개체를 사용한 과산화수소정량 전류법 바이오센서 (Amperometric Biosensor for Hydrogen Peroxide Determination Based on Black Goat Liver-Tissue and Ferrocene Mediation)

  • 흑염소의 간-조직과 ferrocene을 탄소반죽 전극에 고정하여 과산화수소를 정량할 수 있는 전극을 만들었다. Ag/AgCl 전극에 대하여 $-0.3{\sim}+0.0\;V$의 전위 범위에서 전극의 감도를 관찰하였으며 전극의 감응시간은 12 s로 나타났다. 전극의 검출한계는 2.25${\times)10^{-6}M$ (S/N=3)이었으며,1.0${\times}10^{-2 }$M 과산화수소를 이용해 15회 반복 측정한 결과, 상대표준편차는 1.87%이었다. 또한, 방해물질의 영향도 없는 것으로 나타났다. 효소전극의 감도는 19일 사용 후 50%로 감소하였다.
