알루미늄 필름, 전도성 직조섬유/나노 카본블랙 탄소섬유복합재료의 전자파 차폐효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Effectiveness of the Aluminum film, Conductive Fabric and Nano Carbon black/Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composites)

  • This study investigated electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding effectiveness(SE) of the aluminum film, conductive fabric and nano carbon black carbon fiber reinforced composites. We fabricated carbon fiber reinforced composites filled with nano carbon black where they bonded aluminum film and conductive fabric. The measurements of SE were carried out frequency range from 300MHz to 1.5GHz. It is observed that the SE of the bonded aluminum film and conductive fabric composites is the frequency dependent, increase with the increase in filler nano carbon black content. The aluminum film bonded composites showed higher SE compared to that of carbon black and conductive fabric. The aluminum film bonded epoxy composite was shown to exhibit up to 80dB of SE. The result that aluminum film bonded composite can be used for the purpose of EMI shielding as well as for some microwave applications.

카본블랙 제조공정의 안전성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Improvement of Carbon Black Manufacturing Process)

  • Carbon black is a material in the form of fine black powder obtained by incomplete combustion or pyrolysis of hydrocarbons, and is composed of 90-99% carbon, and the rest is composed of hydrogen and oxygen. In the event of an emergency during the manufacture of carbon black, the generated tail gas should be safely discharged through an emergency line to prevent fire, explosion, and environmental pollution accidents caused by the tail gas. If the pressure continues to rise, the pressure control valve shall operate and the rupture plate shall be ruptured sequentially and the tail gas shall be discharged to the vent stack through the emergency line. As an emergency emission system, even if some untreated substances in the tail gas are released into the atmosphere, they are lighter than air, so it is safe to discharge them to a safe place through the Vent Stack. If the gas pressure is rising or worse, it is discharged from the Vent Stackine, and discharging fuel.

CNT 열전달 물질에 의한 50W LED의 방열 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Heat Radiant for 50W LED by the CNT Thermal Interface Material)

  • In this study, cooling and heat-transfer tests are performed to compare and evaluate the thermal conductivity in a prepared CNT TIM (thermal interface material). A polymerized CNT heat-transfer resin and commercial thermal grease (Shinetsu G-747) were applied for a comparison test in both cases. Cooling experiments with an aluminum foil specimen were performed in order to measure the temperature distribution using an infrared camera, and in heat radiation experiments, performance testing of the thermal conductivity was conducted using high-power LEDs. Carbon resin with the polymerization of graphite and carbon black, and CNT-polymerized CNT resin with graphite and carbon black were tested and compared with using G-747. It was found that the cooling performance and the heat transfer ability in both the carbon resin and the CNT-polymerized CNT resin were greater than those of G-747 because the temperature by 5. $0^{\circ}C$ in both cases appeared lower than that of the G-747.

블랙카본 측정기용 초소형 사이클론 집진기 개발 (Development of a Miniature Aerosol Separator for a Black Carbon Measuring Instrument)

  • Given the increasing interest in air pollution, several technologies to measure black carbon (BC) aerosol particles have been developed. As most BC aerosol particles are smaller than 1 ㎛, it is necessary to pre-separate the particles by size before a BC measuring instrument samples the aerosol particles. In this study, a miniature cyclone separator for portable BC measuring instruments was developed. A numerical approach was used to design the miniature cyclone separator with operating flow rates of 50, 100, or 150 mLPM, and then a prototype cyclone separator was manufactured for experimental validation. The numerical results of the cut-off size and pressure drop of the miniature cyclone separator agreed well with the experimental data. The cut-off sizes of the miniature cyclone separator were determined to be 2.9, 0.94, and 0.63 ㎛ for operating flow rates of 50, 100, and 150 mLPM, respectively. Thus, the miniature cyclone separator is suitable for use as a sampling inlet for the portable black carbon measuring instrument to sample BC aerosol or PM2.5 aerosol.

  • 기능성고분자의 가장 대표적인 것으로 전도성 고분자를 꼽을 수 있다. 상업화된 전도성 고분자 제조법으로서 전도성 물질의 충진에 의한 방법이 널리 사용되고 있지만 전도성 기능이 강하게 나타나지 않아 연구 개발 중이다. 이러한 이유중의 하나로 카본블랙과 고분자수지의 컴파운딩에 대한 이해 부족이 지적되고 있어, 본문은 전도성 카본블랙을 이용한 컴파운딩에 대한 기술 개발을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과 섬유모양의 카본블랙이 고무가공 면에서 쉽지가 않았으나 전도성 면에서는 구 모양과 막대모양의 카본블랙 보다 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. 따라서 섬유모양 카본블랙과의 가공성을 높이기 위하여 oil을 첨가하여 가공한 결과, 물성면에서는 약간 뒤떨어지나 가공성이 향상되었으며 전도성 면에서도 우수한 결과를 나타났다. 또한 용액가공에 대한 연구를 용융가공과 비교하면서 수행하였다.

카본블랙 제조 부생가스의 폭발 특성연구 (A Study on the Explosion Characteristics of by Product Gas of Carbon Black Manufacturing Process)

  • 카본블랙 제조공정에서 발생되는 부생가스의 폭발한계와 폭발특성을 연구하였다. 부생 가스의 75% 가량은 수분과 질소였으며 가연성 성분으로는 수소를 비롯한 메탄, 아세틸렌, 일산화탄소 등을 포함하고 있어 연료로 활용하고 있다. 부생 가스중의 가연성 가스 성분들에 의해 공정상에 폭발 및 연소의 위험이 있다. 실험결과 얻어진 폭발한계범위는 17.1%에서 70.7%였으며 르샤틀리에 법칙을 이용하여 예측한 값과는 상당한 차이가 있었다. 또한 폭발특성 실험 결과 폭발압력은 최대 $5.4kg/cm^2$이었고 평균 폭발압력 상승속도는 $39.2kg/cm^2/s$였다. 이러한 결과들은 부생 가스의 취급 및 이용에 따른 폭발이나 화재 사고시 공정과 시설 등에 치명적인 손상을 입힐 수 있으므로 가스폭발 방지 및 방호조치가 필요하다.

  • Materials, matrices mixed with various kinds of conductive or magnetic powder, such as ferrite, have been used as the electromagnetic wave absorbing ones, so called RAM(radar absorbing material). The structure that does not only have electromagnetic waves absorbing property like RAM but also supports loads is called RAS(radar absorbing structure). One of the existing manufacturing process of RAS is to compound with conductive powders the glass fiber-reinforced composite with good permeability and the ability to support loads. The process, however, causes a number of problems, such as the degradation in the mechanical properties of the composite, especially, interlamina shear strength. In this study, mechanical properties of glass fabric/epoxy composite containing 7wt% carbon black powders were measured and compared with pure glass fabric/epoxy composites.

  • Electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding effectiveness(SE) was investigated in of woven fabric made of epoxy/copper-nickel fabrics and nickel coated carbon fiber reinforced acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS) composites. The coaxial transmission line method was used to measure the EMI shielding effectiveness of the composites. We designed and constructed a measuring system, consisting of a network analyzer and a device that plays the serves as a sample holder and at the same time as a transmission medium of the incident electromagnetic wave. The measurement of SE were carried out frequency range from 100MHz to 2GHz. It is observed that the SE of the composits is the frequency dependent increase with the increase in nickel coated carbon fibre volume fraction. The nickel coating with 20wt% ABS composite was shown to exhibit up to 60dB of SE. The result that nickel coated carbon fibre ABS composite can be used for the purpose of EMI shielding as well as for some microwave applications.

반도체 제조공정에서 발생하는 실리콘 슬러지를 재활용한 라이다 인지형 검은색 소재의 제조 및 응용 (Synthesis of LiDAR-Detective Black Material via Recycling of Silicon Sludge Generated from Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and Its LiDAR Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 반도체 제조공정에서 발생한 실리콘 슬러지(SS)를 재활용하여 라이다 센서에 인식 가능한 검은색 소재(SS/bTiO2)로 제조하고, 두 종류의 라이다 센서(MEMS 및 Rotating LiDAR)를 활용하여 제조한 소재의 인식률을 확인하였다. 상세히는, SS 표면의 금속 불순물을 제거하여 이산화티타늄을 도입하고 화학적 환원을 통해 SS/bTiO2 소재를 제조하였다. SS/bTiO2는 투명 페인트와 혼합하여 친수성 검은색 도료로 제조하고 스프레이 건을 사용하여 유리 기판에 도포하였다. SS/bTiO2 기반의 도료는 상용화된 카본 블랙 기반의 도료와 유사한 명도(L*=15.7)를 가짐과 동시에 우수한 근적외선 반사율(26.5R%, 905nm)을 나타내었다. 더불어, MEMS 및 Rotating 라이다를 통해서도 성공적으로 인식이 되는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 프레넬 반사 원리에 의해 검은색 이산화티타늄과 실리콘 슬러지 간의 계면에서 높은 반사가 일어났기 때문이다. 본 연구를 통해, 반도체 제조공정에서 발생하는 실리콘 슬러지를 효과적으로 재활용할 수 있는 새로운 응용 방안에 대하여 제시하였다.
