To estimate the combustion characteristics of sewage sludge and wood pellet, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was conducted. As TGA results, combustion characteristics of sewage sludge was worse than wood pellet. In ash fusion temperature (AFT) analysis, slagging tendency of sewage sludge is very high compared to wood pellet. And also, the bubbling fluidized bed reactor with a inner diameter 400 mm and a height of 4300 mm was used for experimental study of combustion characteristics fueled by sewage sludge and wood pellet. The facility consists of a fluidized bed reactor, preheater, screw feeder, cyclone, ash capture equipment and gas analyzer. The thermal input of sewage sludge cases were $54.5{\sim}96.5kW_{th}$, in case of wood pellet experiment, it was $96.1kW_{th}$. As experiment results, the $NO_x$ emission of sewage sludge was averagely about 10 times the $NO_x$ emission of wood pellet. And also CO emission of sewage sludge is about 3.5 times of wood pellet. Lastly as a result of analysis of captured ash in cyclone, the combustion efficiency of all cases were over 99%, but the potential for slagging/fouling was high at all cases by component analysis of ash.
Filming using multiple cameras is required for the production of the multi-screen content. It can fill the viewer's field of view (FOV) entirely to provide an increased sense of immersion. In such a filming scenario, it is very important to monitor how images captured by multiple cameras are displayed as a single content or how the content will be displayed in an actual theatre. Most recent studies on creating the content of special format have been focused on their own purposes, such as stereoscopic and panoramic images. There is no research on content creation optimized for theatres that use three screens that are spreading recently. In this paper, we propose a novel content production system with a rig that can control three cameras and monitoring software specialized for multi-screen content. The proposed rig can precisely control the angles between the cameras and capture wide angle of view with three cameras. It works with monitoring software via remote communication. The monitoring software automatically aligned the content in real time, and the alignment of the content is updated according to the angle of camera rig. Futher, the producion efficiency is greatly improved by making the alignment information available for post-production.

Adsorption experiments of carbon dioxide were performed on ZSM5 and Molecular Sieve 13X (MS13X) impregnated with Monoethanol Amine (MEA). Adsorption efficiency of $CO_2$ was investigated in a U type packed column with GC/TCD. The adsorption capacities of adsorbents are estimated in the temperature range of $30-80^{\circ}C$. The modified adsorbents was characterized by BET surface area, $N_2$ adsorption/desorption isotherms, X-ray diffraction and FT-IR. Surface analysis results showed that the impregnation method did not affect the crystallinity of any adsorbents. BET surface area of the MS13X impregnated amine decreased to $19.945m^2/g$ from $718.335m^2/g$. These reults showed that amine molecules were filled with the pore volume in MS13X, as a results restricting access of nitrogen into the pores. The MEA modified MS13X showed improvement in $CO_2$ adsorption capacity over the ZSM5 impregnated with MEA. The MS13X-MEA showed the highest adsorption capacity due to physical adsorption and chemical adsorption by amino-group content. This results also showed that adsorption capacity of MS13X-MEA increases with the temperature range of $60-80^{\circ}C$ compared with pristine MS13X.
It is important to reuse existing motion capture data for reduction of the animation producing cost as well as efficiency of producing process. Because its motion curve has no control point, however, it is difficult to modify the captured data interactively. The motion transition is a useful method to reuse the existing motion data. It generates a seamless intermediate motion with two short motion sequences. In this paper, Uniform Posture Map (UPM) algorithm is proposed to perform the motion transition. Since the UPM is organized through quantization of various postures with an unsupervised learning algorithm, it places the output neurons with similar posture in adjacent position. Using this property, an intermediate posture of two active postures is generated; the generating posture is used as a key-frame to make an interpolating motion. The UPM algorithm needs much less computational cost, in comparison with other motion transition algorithms. It provides a control parameter; an animator could control the motion simply by adjusting the parameter. These merits of the UPM make an animator to produce the animation interactively. The UPM algorithm prevents from generating an unreal posture in learning phase. It not only makes more realistic motion curves, but also contributes to making more natural motions. The motion transition algorithm proposed in this paper could be applied to the various fields such as real time 3D games, virtual reality applications, web 3D applications, and etc.
For the construction of the microbial monitoring method, anti-Salmonella polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) were produced from a rabbit and purified by saturated ammonium sulfate precipitation and protein A affinity column. The reactivity of anti-Salmonella pAbs was compared to that of commercial ones by using an indirect ELISA. The specificity of anti-Salmonella pAbs was investigated using 20 Salmonella serotypes and 20 non-Salmonella strains. A capturing ability of anti-Salmonella pAbs was investigated by exposing antibody-immobilized gold biosensor to different concentration of Salmonella mixture. Anti-Salmonella pAbs were successfully produced and purified with an antibody concentration of 2.0 mg/mL The reactivity of purified anti-Salmonella pAbs was greater than that of commercial one at all tested concentrations. All Salmonella serotypes, except S. Diarizonae, showed excellent binding efficiency with purified anti-Salmonella pAbs. Moreover, the purified anti-Salmonella pAbs showed excellent specificity against all non-Salmonella strains. The anti-Salmonella pAbs immobilized on the gold biosensor demonstrated the successful capturing capability against Salmonella with a dose-response manner. Therefore, the anti-Salmonella pAbs exhibited sufficient reactivity, specificity, as well as capturing capability against Salmonella to be considered as a bio-recognition element.
Isomeric ratios were measured for the capture of thermal neutron by $^{79}$ Br, $^{80}$ Se, $^{103}$ Rh, $^{115}$ In and $^{133}$ Cs as well as those of epi-cadmium neutron by $^{79}$ Br, $^{80}$ Se and $^{l33}$Cs. The measurements were performed by analysing decay curves obtained by ${\gamma}$-ray spectrometry after irradiation. The counting efficiency curve was determined by using the calibrated standard sources with overall uncertainties of about 1%. Isomeric ratios, given in $\sigma$ high spin/($\sigma$ high spin + $\sigma$ low spin), of $^{80, 80m}$Br, $^{81,81m}$Se, $^{014, 104m}$Rh, $^{116,116m}$In and $^{134, 134m}$Cs produced by thermal neutron activation were found to be 0.21$\pm$0.01, 0.14$\pm$0.02, 0.12$\pm$0.02, 0.69$\pm$0.07 and 0.058$\pm$0.004, respectively, Those values of $^{80, 80m}$Br, $^{81,81m}$Se, and $^{134, 134m}$Cs Produced by epi-cadmium neutron were found to be 0.19$\pm$0.02, 0.29$\pm$0.02 and 0.074$\pm$0.011, respectively. The experimental values obtained were compared with the theoretical values deduced from the statistical model. There were the general agreements between the theory and the experiment.t.

Simplified procedure was developed for concentrating and detecting poliovirus and norovirus in oysters. Viruses were seeded into oyster tissue homogenates and concentrated through polyethylene glycol (PEG) precipitation, chloroform or Freon extraction, with additional PEG precipitation. Amount of viruses was evaluated using poliovirus plaque assay. Virus recovery during concentration procedure was approximately 16.4-26.0%. For defection, viral RNAs in oysters were examined using one-step RT-PCR after extraction with Trizol. Dilution or capturing of viral RNA using silica gel membrane allowed viruses to be detected by RT-PCR, whereas viruses could not be removed using $QIAshredder^{TM}$ Homogenizer, which is effective in removing RT-PCR inhibitors in lettuce and hamburgers. Freon extraction, generally used to concentrate viruses found in food, could be substituted with chloroform extraction using this procedure; no difference could be observed between detection limits of whole oyster extracts and digestive organ extracts indicating that RT-PCR inhibitors were distributed evenly throughout whole tissues. Nested PCR greatly improved efficiency of this procedure. Overall, this procedure could remove sufficient amount of inhibitors to allow detection of norovirus in oysters.

The structures, which are made up with the huge number of degrees-of-freedom and the assembly of substructures, have a great complexity. In order to increase the computational efficiency, the analysis models have to be simplified. Many substructuring techniques have been developed to simplify large-scale engineering problems. The techniques are very powerful for solving nonlinear problems which require many iterative calculations. In this paper, a modal derivatives-based model order reduction method, which is able to capture the stretching-bending coupling behavior in geometrically nonlinear systems, is adopted and investigated for its performance evaluation. The quadratic terms in nonlinear beam theory, such as Green-Lagrange strains, can be explained by the modal derivatives. They can be obtained by taking the modal directional derivatives of eigenmodes and form the second order terms of modal reduction basis. The method proposed is then applied to a co-rotational finite element formulation that is well-suited for geometrically nonlinear problems. Numerical results reveal that the end-shortening effect is very important, in which a conventional modal reduction method does not work unless the full model is used. It is demonstrated that the modal derivative approach yields the best compromised result and is very promising for substructuring large-scale geometrically nonlinear problems.

The effect of the trap equipped with diverse light-emitting lamp on the lure efficiency of whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) was investigated in the greenhouse cultivating tomato. The light-emitting lamp type equipped to trap was blue, yellow, and white light-emitting lamp. The experiment results showed that trap equipped with blue light-emitting lamp captured the most number of $110{\pm}3.2$ adult whitefly and the number of captured adult whitefly was $71{\pm}1.4$ at yellow light-emitting lamp trap and $45{\pm}1$ at white light-emitting lamp trap respectively. The wavelength distribution band of blue light-emitting lamp was between 330 nm and 430 nm. The wavelength band of yellow and white light-emitting lamp contain repellent wavelength band at the same time. These results show that the trap equipped with blue light-emitting lamp could be used effectively for whitefly control and prevention in the greenhouse cultivating tomato.
Hot air heater with light oil burner is the most common heater for greenhouse heating in the winter season in Korea. However, since the thermal efficiency of the heater is about 80∼85%, considerable unused heat amount in the form of exhaust gas heat discharges to atmosphere. In order to capture this exhaust heat a heat recovery system for plant bed heating in the greenhouse was built and tested in the hot air heating system of greenhouse. The heat recovery system is made for plant bed or soil heating in the greenhouse. The system consisted of a heat exchanger made of copper pipes, ${\Phi}12.7{\times}0.7t$ located in the rectangular column of $330{\times}330{\times}900mm$, a water circulation pump, circulation plastic pipe and a water tank. The total heat exchanger area is 1.5$m^2$, calculated considering the heat exchange amount between flue gas and water circulated in the copper pipes. The system was attached to the exhaust gas path. The heat recovery system was designed as to even recapture the latent heat of flue gas when exposing to low temperature water in the heat exchanger. According to the performance test it could recover 45,200 to 51,000kJ/hr depending on the water circulation rates of 330 to $690\ell$/hr from the waste heat discharged. The exhaust gas temperature left the heat exchanger dropped to $100^{\circ}C$ from $270^{\circ}C$ by the heat exchange between the water and the flue gas, while water gained the difference and temperature increased to $38^{\circ}C$ from $21^{\circ}C$ at the water flow rate of $690\ell$/hr. By the feasibility test conducted in the greenhouse, the system did not encounter any difficulty in operations. And, the system could recover 220,235kJ of exhaust gas heat in a day, which is equivalent of 34% of the fuel consumption by the water boiler for plant bed heating of 0.2ha in the greenhouse.
