본 논문은 캡슐 내시경 검사시 진단시간을 줄이기 위해 내시경에서 촬영된 다량의 사진들을 한 장의 이미지로 재구성하는 방법을 제안하였다. 모델링을 단순화하기 위해, 내장을 연속적인 3-D 원통들의 합으로 가정하였다. 제안된 방법은 캡슐 내시경으로부터 촬영된 다량의 사진들을 이용하여 한 장의 2-D 평면 이미지로 재구성한다. 재구성된 이미지를 이용하여 3-D 원통형 모델을 구현하였다. 제안된 이미지 복원 방법은 그래픽 라이브러리인 OpenGL을 사용하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 재구성된 이미지는 2-D 평면에 전체 내장이 펼쳐진 것과 같은 영상으로 의사들이 넒은 부위의 내장을 한 번에 검사할 수 있어서 빠르게 발병 위치를 확인할 수 있다.

캡슐내시경은 일반적인 내시경의 접근이 어려운 소장을 관찰하는 데 특화되어 있다. 보통 캡슐내시경 영상을 판독하기 위해 의사는 해부학적 지식과 병리학적 지식과 같은 도메인 지식을 활용하여 영상에 내재된 정보를 획득한다. 이와 같은 내재된 정보는 도메인 지식을 활용하여 분석될 수 있는 의미적 정보라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 의미적 정보를 추출하는 과정을 의미 기반 분석이라 정의하고, 의미 기반 분석 과정에서 요구되는 도메인 지식 모델링 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 캡슐내시경의 의미 기반 분석 과정은 크게 이미지 특징 추출, 해부학적 분석, 병리학적 분석으로 구성되며, 이와 같은 분석 과정에 활용될 수 있는 해부학 모델과 병리학 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 모델은 캡슐내시경 영상의 주요 대상 기관인 소장에 특화된 모델로 효과적인 영상 판독을 보조할 수 있음을 보인다.

In many medical image devices, dc noise often prevents normal diagnosis. In wireless capsule endoscopy systems, multipath fading through indoor wireless links induces inter-symbol interference (ISI) and indoor electric devices generate impulsive noise in the received signal. Moreover, dc noise, ISI, and impulsive noise are also found in optical fiber communication that can be used in remote medical diagnosis. In this paper, a blind signal processing method based on the biased probability density functions of constant modulus error that is robust to those problems that can cause error propagation in decision feedback (DF) methods is presented. Based on this property of robustness to error propagation, a DF version of the method is proposed. In the simulation for the impulse response of optical fiber channels having slowly varying dc noise and impulsive noise, the proposed DF method yields a performance enhancement of approximately 10 dB in mean squared error over its linear counterpart.

Due to improve form accuracy and surface roughness of a aspheric lens core that is made of Ni, the study is carried out on localization about a Subminiature Optics of Proximity and Wide Field of View. The required form accuracy P-V $0.2{\mu}m$ and surface roughness is Ra 10 nm. The design of experiment(DOE) is adopted to find a optimal cutting conditions which are spindle speed, depth of cut, feedrate. Finally, the effects of this study are replacing importation and strengthening competitiveness through the localization of the Subminiature Optics of Proximity and Wide Field of View.

Although small bowel the mainly occupies the most part of the gastrointestinal tract, small intestine tumors are rare, insidious in clinical presentation, and frequently represent a diagnostic and management challenge. Small bowel tumors are generally classified as epithelial, mesenchymal, lymphoproliferative, or metastatic. Familial adenomatous polyposis and Peutz-Jeghers syndrome are the most common inherited intestinal polyposis syndromes. Until the advent of capsule endoscopy (CE) and device-assisted enteroscopy (DAE) coupled with the advances in radiology, physicians had limited diagnostic examination for small bowel examination. CE and new radiologic imaging techniques have made it easier to detect small bowel tumors. DAE allows more diagnosis and deeper reach in small intestine. CT enteroclysis/CT enterography (CTE) provides information about adjacent organs as well as pictures of the intestinal lumen side. Compared to CTE, Magnetic resonance enteroclysis/enterography provides the advantage of soft tissue contrast and multiplane imaging without radiation exposure. Treatment and prognosis are tailored to each histological subtype of tumors.

저자들은 만성적인 철결핍성 빈혈을 보이는 10세 여아에서, 캡슐내시경을 비롯한 내시경적 검사로 위장관계의 다발성 정맥기형을 발견하여 blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome으로 진단하였고, 광범위한 외과적 절제술로 성공적으로 치료하였기에 이에 보고하는 바이다.

We report a rare case of Meckel's diverticulum in a boy who initially presented with chronic iron deficiency anemia (IDA) without any history of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding at 8 years-old. Isolated small bowel Crohn's disease was suspected based on findings of small bowel ulcers on capsule endoscopy. At four years from initial presentation, he developed massive GI bleeding. Abdominal computed tomographic angiography and small bowel series revealed findings suggestive of Meckel's diverticulum. Meckel's diverticulum should be suspected in children with unexplained chronic IDA even in the absence of prominent GI bleeding and negative findings on repetitive Meckel's scans. Moreover, Meckel's diverticulum should be included in the differential diagnosis of isolated small bowel Crohn's disease when the disease is limited to a short segment of the distal small bowel, as ulcers and inflammation may result as a consequence of acid secreted from adjacent heterotopic gastric mucosa constituting the Meckel's diverticulum.

WBAN은 다양한 응용 가능성 때문에 최근 들어 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기기의 위치에 따른 WBAN 통신 환경에 적합한 몇 가지 안테나와 모의 인체 제작에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. WBAN 시스템은 인체 내부 및 인체 표면에서 동작하므로 고유전율 및 고도전율을 갖는 인체 매질에 대한 영향을 고려해야 하며, 특히 안테나는 근역장 매질 특성에 따라 안테나의 방사 특성 및 반사 손실 특성이 변하게 되므로, 이를 고려한 안테나 설계가 요구된다. 또한, 안테나의 인체 영향을 고려하기 위해 모의 인체를 이용해 안테나를 설계하고 측정하였다. 서론에서는 WBAN 통신 채널의 분류를 소개하고, 각각의 통신 채널에 적합한 안테나의 특성에 대해 간단히 언급하였다. 제안된 몇 가지 안테나 사례 및 모의 인체 구현에 대하여 논의하였다. 결론에서는 안테나 설계 시 고려해야 할 사항과 향후 연구에 대해 언급하였다.

Crohn's disease (CD) is an idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with unknown etiopathogenesis. Currently there are no definitive treatment modalities for CD. This case report presents clinical remission and its maintenance of CD induced by Korean herbal medicine treatment. A 56-year-old male patient diagnosed as CD by capsule endoscopy presented to a Korean Medicine clinic with severe abdominal pain as a chief complaint. Despite taking 5-aminosalicylic acid and immunosuppressant for 2 years, his abdominal pain was worsening at the time of visit. Treatment was initiated with Jinmoo-tang based on pattern identification and continued for approximately a year with some modifications according to patient's symptom changes. He was mainly given Jinmoo-Tang for a year and clinical remission was achieved; he could stop taking western medications. For 6 years since then, he took Korean medicine from time to time when he felt his condition went down and he is still maintaining remission. There were no adverse events reported. This case report suggests that individualized Korean herbal medicine treatment may have the potential for induction and maintenance of clinical remission of CD. Further research is warranted to establish an evidence-base for such approach.
