지표면의 특성을 고려한 대기경계층내의 열수지 parameter 추정 -열수지 parameter를 이용한 중규모 순환의 수치예측- (Estimation of the Heat Budget Parameter in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer considering the Characteristics of Soil Surface)

  • An one dimensional atmosphere-canopy-soil interaction model is developed to estimate of the heat budget parameter in the atmospheric boundary layer. The canopy model is composed of the three balance equations of energy, temperature, moisture at ground surface and canopy layer with three independent variables of Tf(foliage temperature), Tg(ground temperature), and qg(ground specific humidity). The model was verilied by comparative study with OSUID(Oregon State University One Dimensional Model) proved in HAPEX-MOBILHY experiment. Also we applied this model in two dimensional land-sea breeze circulation. According to the results of this study, surface characteristics considering canopy acted importantly upon the simulation of meso-scale circulation. The factors which used in the numerical experiment are as follows ; the change for a sort of soil(sand and peat), the change for shielding factor, and the change for a kind of vegetation.

  • 대용량 데이터를 효율적으로 군집화하기위해 개발된 Canopy Clustering은 2개의 파라미터 (T1, T2)에 기반하여 Canopy 형성이 결정되며, 결과적으로 이들 파라미터에 의해 군집화 결과가 크게 달라질 수 있다. 이에 따라 데이터의 특성을 잘 반영하는 파라미터 값을 적절히 선택하는 것이 매우 중요하지만, 자동화된 파라미터 설정 기법의 부재로 인하여, 기존 연구에서는 사용자의 경험에 의하여 Canopy Clustering의 파라미터 값을 설정하는 것이 일반적이었다. 본 논문에서는 통계적 샘플링을 이용하여 T1, T2의 값을 효과적으로 설정하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • Mounted in aircraft, LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology uses pulses of light to collect data about the terrain below. The main objective of this study was to extract reliable the individual tree and analysis techniques to facilitate the used LiDAR data for estimating tree crown diameter by measuring individual trees identifiable on the three dimensional LiDAR surface. In addition, this study can be quantitative analysis of individual tree through the canopy parameter.

벼 조기초관폐쇄성의 품종 변이 및 수량과의 관계 (Genotypic Variation of Rapid Canopy Closure and Its Relationship with Yield of Rice)

  • 조기 초관폐쇄성(rapid canopy closure, RCC) 또한 벼의 유전적인 잠재수량성을 향상시킬 수 있는 생리적 특성 중 하나이다. EGV(early growth vigor)가 상이한 22개 품종을 선정하여 EGV와 초관의 조기폐쇄성(RCC)과의 관계, RCC와 생육 및 수량간의 관계를 평가하고자 포장실험(이앙재배)을 실시하였다. 초관이 폐쇄되기 전의 생장은 $y\;=\;{\alpha}{\cdot}{\exp}({\beta}{\cdot}t)$와 같은 지수생장함수로 표현되는데, y는 엽면적지수(LAI) 또는 지상부건물중(DW)이고, t는 적산온도이며, $\alpha$는 지수생장초기의 LAI나 DW 값이고, $\beta$는 지수생장이 일어나는 시기의 LAI 또는 DW의 상대생장률(relative growth rate, RGR; $^{\circ}C^{-1}$)이다. 1. 벼의 지수생장 초기단계에는 품종의 LAI나 DW가 $\alpha$와 높은 정의 상관이 있었고 또한 종자 무게(천립중)와 정의 상관이 있어 종자무게에 의하여 생육이 크게 영향을 받았으며, 그 후의 시기는 품종의 LAI 및 DW가 $\beta$와 높은 상관을 보였다. 2. $\alpha$$\beta$는 모두 품종간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 3. $\beta$는 단위면적당 영화수 및 수량과 높은 정의 상관을 보였다. 4. 결론적으로 EGV 및 RCC는 상호 밀접한 관련이 있고, EGV가 크면, RCC도 커서 수량에 정의 방향으로 영향을 하는 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 대면적 산림의 정확한 임분고 측정은 산림경영, 산림 탄소량 추정, 산림 생태계 관리를 위한 필수적인 지표인자로 다수의 국가에서 주기적인 현장조사를 수행하고 있다. 하지만, 현장조사는 많은 비용 및 시간 소요, 접근의 용이성이 낮은 지역의 조사의 기술적 한계성을 가지고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위한 대안으로 원격탐사 기술을 이용한 수고 및 임분고 추정 연구가 활발하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 해외 및 국내의 다양한 원격탐사기반 수고 및 임분고 추정 연구 사례를 분석하여 원격탐사기반 임분고 추정 연구의 동향을 크게 LiDAR기반, Stereo 및 SAR 이미지 점군(Image-based Point Clouds)기반, 원격탐사자료 융합기반 임분고 추정 모델로 나누어 살펴보았다. 또한, 대면적의 전국단위 산림 임분고 추정을 위한 원격탐사자료의 업스케일링(Upscaling) 기법의 사례 분석을 통해 향후 국내 산림환경 및 현황에 적합한 원격탐사기반 전국단위 산림 임분고 추정을 위한 방법의 발전 방향성을 고찰하였다.

하늘시계지수 비교 및 도시기온 상관성 연구: 강남 선정릉지역을 중심으로 (A Study on a Comparison of Sky View Factors and a Correlation with Air Temperature in the City)

  • Sky view factor can quantify the influence of complex obstructions. This study aims to evaluate the best available SVF method that represents an urban thermal condition with land cover in complex city of Korea and also to quantify a correlation between SVF and mean air temperature; the results are as follows. First, three SVF methods comparison result shows that urban thermal study should consider forest canopy induced effects because the forest canopy test (on/off) on SVF reveals significant difference range (0.8, between maximum value and minimum value) in comparison with the range (0.1~0.3) of SVFs (Fisheye, SOLWEIG and 3DPC) difference. The significance is bigger as a forest cover proportion become larger. Second, R-square between SVF methods and urban local mean air temperature seems more reliable at night than a day. And as the value of SVF increased, it showed a positive slope in summer day and a negative slope in winter night. In the SVF calculation method, Fisheye SVF, which is the observed value, is close to the 3DPC SVF, but the grid-based SWG SVF is higher in correlation with the temperature. However, both urban climate monitoring and model/analysis study need more development because of the different between SVF and mean air temperature correlation results in the summer night period, which imply other major factors such as cooling air by the forest canopy, warming air by anthropogenic heat emitted from fuel oil combustion and so forth.

ESTIMATING CROWN PARAMETERS FROM SPACEBORNE HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGERY

  • Crown parameters are important roles in tree species identification, because the canopy is the aggregate of all the crowns. However, crown measurements with spaceborne image data have remained more difficult than on aerial photographs since trees show more structural detail at higher resolutions. This recognized problem led to the initiation of the research to determine if high resolution satellite image data could be used to identify and classify single tree species. In this paper, shape parameters derived from pixel-based crown area measurements and texture features derived from GLCM parameters in QuickBird image were tested and compared for individual tree species identification. As expected, initial studies have shown that the crown parameters and the canopy texture parameters provided a differentiating method between coniferous trees and broad-leaved trees within the compartment(less than forest stand) for single extraction from spaceborne high resolution image.

고해상도 수치예보모델을 위한 수도권지역의 상세한 도시특성정보 구축 및 사례 분석 (Construction and Case Analysis of Detailed Urban Characteristic Information on Seoul Metropolitan Area for High-Resolution Numerical Weather Prediction Model)

  • In this study, the high-resolution numerical simulations considering detailed anthropogenic heat, albedo, emission and roughness length are analyzed by using single layer Urban Canopy Model (UCM) in Weather Research Forecast (WRF). For this, improved urban parameter data for Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) was collected from global data. And then the parameters were applied to WRF-UCM model after it was processed into 2-dimensional topographical data. The 6 experiments were simulated by using the model with each parameter and verified against observation from Automated Weather Station (AWS) and flux tower for the temperature and sensible heat flux. The data for sensible heat flux of flux towers on Jungnang and Bucheon, the temperature of AWS on Jungnang, Gangnam, Bucheon and Neonggok were used as verification data. In the case of summer, the improvement of simulation by using detailed anthropogenic heat was higher than the other experiments in sensible flux simulation. The results of winter case show improved in all simulations using each advanced parameters in temperature and sensible heat flux simulation. Improvement of urban parameters in this study are possible to reflect the heat characteristics of urban area. Especially, detailed application of anthropogenic heat contributed to the enhancement of predicted value for sensible heat flux and temperature.

서울 건물정보 자료를 활용한 UM 기반의 도시캐노피 모델 입력자료 구축 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Urban Canopy Model Based on Unified Model Input Data Using Urban Building Information Data in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study is to build urban canopy model (Met Office Reading Urban Surface Exchange Scheme, MORUSES) based to Unified Model (UM) by using urban building information data in Seoul, and then to compare the improving urban canopy model simulation result with that of Seoul Automatic Weather Station (AWS) observation site data. UM-MORUSES is based on building information database in London, we performed a sensitivity experiment of UM-MOURSES model using urban building information database in Seoul. Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis of 1.5 km resolution Seoul building data is applied instead of London building information data. Frontal-area index and planar-area index of Seoul are used to calculate building height. The height of the highest building in Seoul is 40m, showing high in Yeoido-gu, Gangnam-gu and Jamsil-gu areas. The street aspect ratio is high in Gangnam-gu, and the repetition rate of buildings is lower in Eunpyeong-gu and Gangbuk-gu. UM-MORUSES model is improved to consider the building geometry parameter in Seoul. It is noticed that the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of wind speed is decreases from 0.8 to 0.6 m s-1 by 25 number AWS in Seoul. The surface air temperature forecast tends to underestimate in pre-improvement model, while it is improved at night time by UM-MORUSES model. This study shows that the post-improvement UM-MORUSES model can provide detailed Seoul building information data and accurate surface air temperature and wind speed in urban region.

국내 자생 엽채류 번행초의 우수 유전자원 기초 선발 (Preliminary screening of leafy vegetable New Zealand spinaches (Tetragonia tetragonioides) native to Korea)

  • Recent development and enlargement of reclaimed lands along the sea shores required to explore alternatives to existing crops, which are suitable to grow well and to declare higher profits. The objectives of this study were to investigate yield-related parameters for development of new leafy vegetables, and to screen some candidates among New Zealand spinach genotypes which were collected in Korea. Initially all the collected genotypes were grown for 7 weeks in a greenhouse of the experiment field in Chungnam National University, and then transplanted into the field to measure morphological or physiological parameters (plant height, branch number, stem diameter, chlorophyll content, and maximum canopy diameter), and yield-related parameters (leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, fresh weight and dry weight). Those parameters were quantitatively measured at 1, 5 or 9 weeks after transplanting (WAT). Parameters exhibiting statistically significant difference among the accessions were plant height, branch number, maximum canopy diameter, chlorophyll content, and leaf length. In contrast to highly correlated parameters with fresh and dry weight obtained in salt-affected soil in the earlier report, fresh weight was correlated significantly with leaf length (r=0.72), leaf width (r=0.64), and canopy diameter(r=0.66), while dry weight was correlated significantly with plant height (r=0.46), leaf length (r=0.72), leaf width (r=0.73), fresh weight (r=0.79), chlorophyll content (r=0.47), and canopy diameter (r=0.87). Based on the significantly correlated with yield parameters, the candidate accessions which were ranked in top statistical groups include CNU06A01, CNU06A13, CNU06A26, CNU06A35, CNU06A38, and CNU06A55. In order to be cultivated in reclaimed lands, it is necessary to screen out salt tolerant accessions among the above high-yielding genotypes.
