위탁 급식 점포의 메뉴 운영 요인과 성과의 연관성에 관한 연구 (A Canonical Correlation Analysis of the Relationship between Menu Management Variables and Performance in Contract-Foodservice Operations)

  • The principal objective of this study was to reveal the relationship between the menu management indicators and menu performance indicators in contract-foodservice operations. Menu indicators differed according to the type of business, type of contract, type of serving, and number of service lines. In accordance with the results of our correlation analysis, we noted significant correlations between menu performance indicators and menu management indicators. The first of these was the correlation between the food cost ration and meal counts, food loss, and the use of prepared vegetables. The second of these was the correlation between food cost per meal and forecasting error, food loss, and inventory turnover. The last of these correlations was the negative correlation between menu CSI(customer satisfaction index) and the use of prepared vegetables. According to the results of our canonical correlation analysis, 2 significant functions were identified. In the first function, we noted significant correlations between meal counts, use of prepared vegetables, food loss, and food cost ratio. Additionally, we noted significant correlations between forecasting error, inventory turnover, food loss, and food cost per meal in the second function. Menu management indicators had no influence on customer satisfaction.

순천시 패밀리레스토랑 이용고객들의 외식만족에 대한 정준상관분석 (A Canonical Correlation Analysis of Customer Satisfaction for Family Restaurant Dining in Sunchon City)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether a group of predictor variables which constitute four determinants of dining satisfaction do exert a significant influence on messures of dining satisfaction in family restaurant. Canonical correlation analysis is used to achieve the purpose of this study. This technique enables the researcher to test for the effects of a set of predictor variables upon a multidimensional measure of dining satisfaction in family restaurant. Results suggest that multiple determinants are important in determining dining satisfaction in family restaurant. No one determinant can fully explain its complexities. The four determinants also appear to vary in terms of importance. Individual variables within four determinants also appear to vary in terms of importance. Finally, the results of the study provide some insight into the types of marketing strategies that can be successfully used by operators who manage family restaurants.

대학생의 금전에 대한 태도에 따른 패밀리 레스토랑 선택 속성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationships between the Attitudes of University Students toward Money and the Attributes of Choosing Family Restaurants)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between each type of attitudes toward money and the attributes of choosing family restaurants. A self-administrated questionnaire was completed by 387 students, and data were analysed by frequency, factor, reliability and canonical correlation. Seven factors were obtained from factor analysis of attitudes toward money; Factor 1 "power", Factor 2 "obsession", Factor 3 "retention", Factor 4 "achievement", Factor 5 "anxiety", Factor 6 "distrust", and Factor7 "evaluation". The attributes of family restaurant choice were extracted into six factors: Factor 1 "quality of food", Factor 2 "restaurant event", Factor 3 "interior environment", Factor 4 "value of food", Factor 5 "convenience for approach", and Factor 6 "employees' service". Canonical correlation analysis showed three significant functions. Canonical function 1 showed that the attitudes of considering the power of money, its retention and achievement were indicated to have significantly positive relationships with the quality of food in the attributes of choosing family restaurants. Canonical function 2 showed that significantly negative relationships between distrust and restaurant events and convenience for approach. Canonical function 3 also showed that significantly positive relationships between obsession and anxiety and the interior of restaurants and employees' service, and significantly negative relationships between evaluation and the interior of restaurants and employees' service.

로그-합 규준화와 정준형 상관 분석을 이용한 시간 지연 추정에 관한 연구 (A time delay estimation method using canonical correlation analysis and log-sum regularization)

  • 음원 위치 추정은 여러 방면에서 쓰임이 있는 응용 기술이다. 음원의 위치를 추정하기 위한 기본 기법 중에는 시간 지연 추정 기법이 있다. 이 기법에선 음원의 위치를 추정하기 위해서 두 개 또는 그 이상의 수신기에 들어오는 신호간의 상대적 시간 지연을 알아내야 한다. 시간 지연 추정 기법에는 일반화 된 상호 상관(Generalized Cross-Correlation, GCC) 대표적이지만, 정준형 상관 분석(Canonical Correlation Analysis, CCA)을 이용한 방법도 있다. 본 논문에서는 시간 지연 추정용 정준형 상관 분석의 고유벡터의 희소성을 이용하기 위해 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 로그-합(log-sum) 정규화를 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 서로 다른 여러 신호 대 잡음비 환경 하에서 비교 모의실험을 하였고, 이 비교 실험을 통하여 얻는 데이터를 통해서 제안한 새 정준형 상관 분석 기반 알고리즘이 이전의 정준형 상관분석 기반 알고리즘이나 기존 GCC보다 더 우수하다는 것을 보인다.

  • Semiconductor manufacturing industry is a high density integration industry because it generates a vest number of data that takes about 300~400 processes that is supervised by numerous production parameters. It is asked of engineers to understand the correlation between different stages of the manufacturing process which is crucial in reducing production costs. With complex manufacturing processes, and defect processing time being the main cause. In the past, it was possible to grasp the corelation among manufacturing process stages through the engineer's domain knowledge. However, It is impossible to understand the corelation among manufacturing processes nowadays due to high density integration in current semiconductor manufacturing. in this paper we propose a canonical correlation analysis (CCA) using both wafer test voltage variables and fail bit counts variables. using the method we suggested, we can increase the semiconductor yield which is the result of the package test.

위성영상의 토지정보 분석정확도 향상을 위한 응용체계의 개발 - 다중시기 영상과 주성분분석 및 정준상관분류 알고리즘을 이용하여 - (Development of a Compound Classification Process for Improving the Correctness of Land Information Analysis in Satellite Imagery - Using Principal Component Analysis, Canonical Correlation Classification Algorithm and Multitemporal Imagery -)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 위성영상으로부터 보다 정확한 토지정보를 취득하기 위해 다중시기데이터의 혼합과 특정 영상강조기법 및 영상분류알고리즘을 병합하여 적용하는 응용분류체계의 개발이다. 즉, 본 연구에서는 혼합된 다중시기데이터를 주성분분석한 후 정준상관분류기법을 적용하는 분류과정을 제안한다. 이 분류과정의 결과를 단일영상별 정준상관분류결과, 다중시기혼합영상의 정준상관분류결과, 시기별 주성분분석 후 정준상관분류결과와 비교한다. 사용된 위성영상은 1994년 7월 26일과 1996년 9월 1일에 취득된 Landsat 5 TM 영상이다. 정확도평가를 위한 지상실제데이터는 지형도 및 항공사진으로부터 취득되었으며, 연구대상영역 전체가 정확도평가 대상으로 사용되었다. 제안된 응용분류체계는 단일영상만을 사용하여 정준상관분류를 수행한 경우보다 분류정확도면에서 약 8.2% 상승되는 우수한 효과를 보여주었다. 특히, 복잡한 토지특성이 혼합되어 있는 도시역을 정확히 분류하는데 유효하였다. 결론적으로 Landsat TM 영상을 사용한 토지피복정보 추출시 분류정확도를 높이기 위해서, 다중시기영상을 사전에 주성분분석 후 정준상관분류기법을 적용하면 매우 효과적임을 확인하였다.

근사엔트로피와 상관차원을 이용한 비선형 신호의 분석 (A study on the nonlinearity in bio-logical systems using approximate entropy and correlation dimension)

  • We studied how linear and nonlinear heart rate dynamics differ between normal fetuses and uncomplicated small-forgestational age (SGA) fetuses, aged 32-40 weeks' gestation. We analyzed each fetal heart rate time series for 20 min and quantified the complexity (nonlinear dynamics) of each fetal heart rate (FHR) time series by approximate entropy (ApEn) and correlation dimension (CD). The linear dynamics were analyzed by canonical correlation analysis (CCA). The ApEn and CD of the uncomplicated SGA fetuses were significantly lower than that of the normal fetuses in all three gestational periods (32-34, 35-37, 38-40 weeks). Canonical correlation ensemble in SGA fetuses is slightly higher than normal ones in all three gestational periods, especially at 35-37 weeks. Irregularity and complexity of the heart rate dynamics of SGA fetuses are lower than that of normal ones. Also, canonical ensemble in SGA fetuses is higher than in normal ones, suggesting that the FHR control system has multiple complex interactions. Along with the clear difference between the two groups' non-linear chaotic dynamics in FHR patterns, we clarified the hidden subtle differences in linearity (e.g. canonical ensemble). The decrease in non-linear dynamics may contribute to the increase in linear dynamics. The present statistical methodology can be readily and routinely utilized in Obstetrics and Gynecologic fields.

Influence Analysis on a Test Statistic in Canonical Correlation Analysis

  • We propose a method for detecting influential observations that have a large influence on the likelihood ratio test statistic for the two sets of variables are uncorrelated with one another. For this purpose we derive a local influence measure for the likelihood ratio test statistic under certain perturbation scheme. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method on the identification of influential observations.

  • 2007년 1월 1일부터 2007년 12월 31일까지 1년 동안 국내 K대학병원의 60세 이상 노인환자 9,955(34.6%)명을 대상으로 정준상관분석을 통한 질병구조와 양상을 파악하였다. 분석결과 설명력이 가장 큰 변수는 수술유무이었으며, 일반적으로 노인은 젊은 계층에 비하여 신체적으로나 정신적으로 허약하기 때문에 수술에 대한 판단을 고려하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 연구를 토대로 체계적인 노인건강 프로그램 구축과 질병통계 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
