Design of Mobile based Campus-Cloude PaaS System for Hybrid-Web based Integrated Notification System (하이브리드 웹 기반 통합 공지를 위한 모바일 기반의 캠퍼스-클라우드의 PaaS 시스템 설계)

  • This study is implemented to Hybrid-web based Integrated System which provides information requesting by user under smart phone environment, cloud computing. This system is consisted of web robot of SaaS service which storages and manages the information after collecting bulletin information from distributed servers of campuses in interval and board managing PaaS server that provides server information to user through smart phone UI. We are also implemented NOA(Notification App) that inform new bulletin information using user's GPS.

  • 교육과 연구의 현자인 대학에서 네트워크를 이용한 디지털 정보자원의 활용은 특정 전공에 국한되지 않고 필수적인 도구가 되어가고 있다. 이러한 정보원과 도구를 대학 환경에서 모든 구성원들이 적극적이고도 손쉽게 활용하는 것이 대학의 정보서비스 업무에 기본이 되어야 한다. 하지만 급속히 변화하는 정보 네트워크 서비스 현장에서 발생하는 문제점들은 대체로 육안으로 확인하기 어려운 것들이기 때문에 이용자들의 요구사항을 정기적으로 조사·분석하여 이용자 측면에서 교내의 정보시스템을 평가·감사하는 것은 시스템을 성공적으로 운영하는데 있어서 필수적인 활동이다. 본 연구에서는 S 대학의 사례를 통하여 구성원들이 가지고 있고 또 필요로 하는 정보자원을 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 하는 최선의 방법을 조사 연구하여 문제 해결 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

Numerical study on the post-earthquake fire behavior of intermediate steel moment frames

  • As steel is highly sensitive to temperature variations, fire exposure is more destructive in the case of steel structures in comparison to the concrete ones. The performance of an intermediate three-story steel moment frame with 4 spans was studied under the service load, thermal load and post-earthquake fire in this paper. Also, the effects of passive fire-protection materials such as ordinary cement-based and fire-retardant coatings were investigated. To model and analyze the structure; Abaqus software is utilized. In order to apply the earthquake effect, the push-over analysis method is employed. Changes in the stories deflection, endurance time and growth of nonlinear regions due to losses in the steel stiffness and strength, are among the issues considered in this study. As an interesting finding, the beams protected by ordinary cement-based coating could sustain the fire exposure at least for 30 minutes in all cases. The mentioned time is increased by employing a new fire-retardant protection, which could prevent significant loss in the structure resistance against fire, even after 60 minutes of exposure to fire.

  • 최근 IT Service 에는 SNS 즉, Social Network Service가 주를 이루고 있다. Facebook, Twitter 등 자신의 일상을 친구들과 공유하는 웹 기반 Service가 사람들에게 많이 이용되고 인기를 끌고 있다. SNS system이 일반화되어 가면서, 보다 전문적이고 국소적인 분야에 특성화되어 발전되어 나갈 것으로 보이며, 이러한 SNS 시스템을 최적화 하기 위해 SNS 프로토타입을 직접 개발해 볼 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 학교 캠퍼스 정도 규모의 서비스를 위한 웹 기반의 SNS들이 어떠한 구조로 이루어져 있으며, 어떠한 원리로 동작하는지 알아보고, Server, DataBase, PHP 를 이용하여 웹 기반 SNS 시스템을 직접 구현하고 시연해 봄으로써 SNS System에 대한 이해를 해보고, SNS system에 대한 향후 방향을 모색해 보도록 한다.

Analyzing the Importance and Satisfaction on the University Foodservice Selection Attributes of Foreign Chinese Students in Gyeongbuk Province (경북지역 중국인 유학생의 대학급식 선택속성에 대한 중요도와 만족도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap in perceived importance-satisfaction rates of foreign Chinese students regarding the university foodservice selection attributes. All statistical analyses are conducted by the SPSS package program (ver 20.0). The results of the statistical analyses are as follows: The validity of the 22 food service selection attributes is being evaluated via the exploratory factor analysis and then five factors are extracted. The five factors are: 'Factor 1. Cleanness and service quality', 'Factor 2. Food quality and price', 'Factor 3. Physical environment', 'Factor 4. Convenience', and 'Factor 5. Service environment'. According to the results of one-way ANOVA, physical environment showed that significant differences across the periods of residence in Korea and the eating frequency at on campus foodservices. On the other hand, the food quality and price, convenience, and service environment showed that significant differences across the periods of residence in Korea. In addition, according to the Importance-Satisfaction Analysis results, 'ventilation of dining room' is the key aspect that university food service managers should reinforce. In conclusion, in order to increase the customer satisfaction rates, the food service managers should not only improve the quality of food and service but also the physical environments of the food service facility.

A study on employment stress of health college students (일부 보건계열 대학생의 취업 스트레스에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to measure employment stress of health college students and to consider a proper means for the solution. Methods : The population of the research is some randomly chosen health college students located in Seoul City during the period from May 10 to June 11 2010, and the sample of 295 students were recruited as the analysis object group. The data on general characteristics and employment stress were collected by a questionnaire survey. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The following shows the results of this study. Results : 1. Mean scores of employment stress in female students were significantly higher than those in male(p<0.01). 2. Employment stress level was significantly higher in low group of home economy, competence for a schoolwork, personal relations, satisfaction in campus life. 3. In regression analysis, home economy, competence for a schoolwork, satisfaction in campus life were proved as significant factors that is related to the employment stress(p<0.01). In other words, It is significant statistically that the lower home economy, competence for a schoolwork, satisfaction in campus life, the higher employment stress level (p<0.05). Conclusions : I suggest with the result of the study that for coping effectively employment stress of health college students, we will need to open an exclusive employment counsel window for better administration welfare service in campus. Because of students are independent responsibility of employment, active effort must take precedence in order for the solution of problem by themselves. Also, we will need to create better academic environment and show more concern, consideration, love in family.

  • North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension Service's purpose was to create a learning partnership that helped adults and youth enhance their lives and communities. NDSU Extension Service has maintained a strong blend of county, regional and state staff to support their program delivery. Experiment Station and Extension Service were integrated both in their job duties and at the administrative level. While researchers at the campus and center carried out both research and outreach activities with producers, Extension staff both at county and center carried out some research activities as well as outreach activities. The strong county-based Extension network was the main avenue for program delivery. Extension agents also provide programs on a multi-country basis. Program planning includes county advisory councils, multi-county advisory councils, support groups, and commodity groups, such as farmers and business people. Planning was used to shape their long-range plan of work along with adjustments to their annual activities. Funding of the NDSU Extension Service has been a blend of federal, state, and county dollars. In the past few years, grant dollars and agency partnerships have increased. Local input into extension programs, combined with support and funding from state and federal partners, enabled the extension service to truly meet the needs of people.

A Resource Reduction Scheme with Low Migration Frequency for Virtual Machines on a Cloud Cluster

  • A method is proposed to reduce excess resources from a virtual machine(VM) while avoiding subsequent migrations for a computer cluster that provides cloud service. The proposed scheme cuts down on the resources of a VM based on the probability that migration may occur after a reduction. First, it finds a VM that can be scaled down by analyzing the history of the resource usage. Then, the migration probability is calculated as a function of the VM resource usage trend and the trend error. Finally, the amount of resources needed to eliminate from an underutilized VM is determined such that the migration probability after the resource reduction is less than or equal to an acceptable migration probability. The acceptable migration probability, to be set by the cloud service provider, is a criterion to assign a weight to the resource reduction either to prevent VM migrations or to enhance VM utilization. The results of simulation show that the proposed scheme lowers migration frequency by 31.6~60.8% depending on the consistency of resource demand while losing VM utilization by 9.1~21.5% compared to other known approaches, such as the static and the prediction-based methods. It is also verified that the proposed scheme extends the elapsed time before the first occurrence of migration after resource reduction 1.1~2.3-fold. In addition, changes in migration frequency and VM utilization are analyzed with varying acceptable migration probabilities and the consistency of resource demand patterns. It is expected that the analysis results can help service providers choose a right value of the acceptable migration probability under various environments having different migration costs and operational costs.

Web Crawler Service Implementation for Information Retrieval based on Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석 기반의 정보 검색을 위한 웹 크롤러 서비스 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a web crawler service method for collecting information efficiently about college students and job-seeker's external activities, competition, and scholarship. The proposed web crawler service uses Jsoup tree analysis and Json format data transmission method to avoid problems of duplicated crawling while crawling at high speed. After collecting relevant information for 24 hours, we were able to confirm that the web crawler service is running with an accuracy of 100%. It is expected that the web crawler service can be applied to various web sites in the future to improve the web crawler service.
