Comparison of Enantioselective CEC Separation of OT-MIP Capillary Columns with Templates of Various Camphor Derivatives Made by the Pre-established General Preparation Protocol

  • Some open tubular (OT) molecule imprinted polymer (MIP) silica capillary columns with templates of camphor derivatives such as 10-camphorsulfonic acid (10-CSA), 10-camphorsulfonamide (10-CS) and camphor-p-tosyl hydrazone (CTH) have been successfully prepared by the prior generalized preparation protocol. The three MIP thin layers of different templates showed quite different morphologies. The chiral selectivity of each MIP column for the template enantiomers was optimized by changing eluent composition and pH. The optimization conditions were found to be different for the three MIPs. This work suggests prospective successful extension of the generalized preparation protocol for OT-MIP silica capillary columns toward templates of a variety of chemical groups.

An Organocatalyzed and Ultrasound Accelerated Expeditious Synthetic Route to 1,5-Benzodiazepines under Solvent-Free Conditions

  • In the present work, successful implementation of ultrasound irradiations for the rapid synthesis of 1,5-benzodiazepine derivatives under solvent-free conditions is demonstrated. Use of a novel catalyst i.e. camphor sulphonic acid in combination with ultrasound technique is reported for the first time. Comparative study for the synthesis of 1,5-benzodiazepines using conventional as well as ultrasonication method is discussed.

전구체 및 외부공급 Taxane이 세포배양에 의한 Taxane 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Precursors and Exogenous Taxanes on Taxane Production by Cell Suspension Cultures)

  • Diterpenoid 생합성의 중요한 전구체인 geranyl­g geranyl pyrophosphate의 공급을 위해 외부에서 geraniol을 넣어 주었을 때 taxol을 포함한 일부 taxane의 생산이 증대 됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 투여 시기와 투여량에 따라 결과가 크게 변화하였다. Camphor와 menthol은 taxol과 같은 terpenoid 계열의 물질이지만 외부에서 공급하였을 때에는 taxol 생산을 증대시키는 효과는 없었다. 외부에서 인위적으로 taxol과 cephalomannine, baccatin ill 를 공급했을 때 모든 경우에서 taxal 생산은 자극받지 않았으며 taxal을 공급했을 경우에는 bacca tin ill 의 생산이, cephalamannine을 공급했을 경우에는 7 -epl- 1 Q-deacetyltaxol의 생산이, 그리고 baccatin ill을 공급했을 경우에는 10-deacetyltaxol의 생산이 각각 가장 많이 중대하였다.

저장조건에 따른 싸주아리쑥 정유의 휘발성 성분 변화 (Effects of Storage Conditions on Essential Oil of Artemisia princeps Pampan. cv. ssajuari (ssajuarissuk))

  • In this study, we identified the volatile compounds of Artemisia princeps Pampan. cv. ssajuari (ssajuarissuk) essential oils and analyzed changes in the contents of volatile compounds under four different storage conditions, such as exposure to air at $20^{\circ}C$ and $40^{\circ}C$. Sixty-five volatile compounds consisting of 6 monoterpene hydrocarbons, 23 oxygenated monoterpenes, 16 sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, 6 oxygenated sesquiterpenes, 1 diterpene, 6 benzene derivatives, and 7 non-isoprenoid compounds were identified on the basis of their mass spectra characteristics and retention indices from original ssajuarissuk essential oils. Identified compounds constituted 90.56% of the total peak area. Borneol (10.29%) was the most abundant compound in the original ssajuarissuk essential oils, followed by 1,8-cineole (9.06%), viridiflorol (8.99%), spathulenol (8.73%), $\alpha$-thujone (5.28%), and camphor (4.39%). After six months storage at $40^{\circ}C$ with the cap opened for 3 min everyday, the total amount of volatile compounds in essential oil as determined by the percentage peak area decreased by 84.93%. The total levels of cis-sabinene hydrate, camphor, 4-terpineol, humulene oxide, $\beta$-caryophyllene oxide, and caryophyllene alcohol increased significantly. For ssajuarissuk essential oils stored under experimental conditions, changes in the contents of volatile compounds in essential oils were accelerated by temperature and contact with the atmosphere.
