Development and Control of a Roadway Seam Tracking Mobile Robot

  • In this paper, a crack sealing robot is developed. The crack sealing robot is built to detect, track, and seal the crack on the pavement. The sealing robot is required to brush all dirt in the crack out for preparing a better sealing job. Camera calibration has been done to get accurate crack position. In order to perform a cleaning job, the explicit force control method is used to regulate a specified desired force in order to maintain constant contact with the ground. Experimental studies of force tracking control are conducted under unknown environment stiffness and location. Crack tracking control is performed. Force tracking results are excellent and the robot finds and tracks the crack very well.

  • In order to detect the user's gaze position on a monitor by computer vision, the accurate estimations of 3D positions and 3D motion of facial features are required. In this paper, we apply a EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) to estimate 3D motion estimates and assumes that its motion is "smooth" in the sense of being represented as constant velocity translational and rotational model. Rotational motion is defined about the orgin of an face-centered coordinate system, while translational motion is defined about that of a camera centered coordinate system. For the experiments, we use the 3D facial motion data generated by computer simulation. Experiment results show that the simulation data andthe estimation results of EKF are similar.e similar.

  • Titanium Cabride powders were prepared by the self-propagating high temperature synthesismethod in air from the mixture of metal titanium powder and carbon powder. The result are as follows : 1. The conversion effciency of higher than 95% can be obtained and the lattice constant value of the product was 4.322$\AA$. 2. The combustion mode, velocity and temperature of combustion wave was photographed using high-speed camera, and showed steady-state, velocity of 15.414mm/sec at 250$0^{\circ}C$. 3. The relative density and MOR strength of TiC sintered at 180$0^{\circ}C$ for 90 minutes by hot-pressing under the pressure of 200kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ were 95% and 395MPa, respectively.

  • This paper introduces the control and measurement of a double parallel robot manipulator applied for unknown geometric surface grinding. A measurement system is developed to recognize a grinding path by a vision camera and to observe a grinding load by a current sensor. With the measured fusion information, an intelligent controller identifies the unknown geometric surface and moves the robot along the grinding path with a constant grinding load.

디젤분무특성에 관한 실험적 연구(I) (Experimental Studies on Atomization Characteristics in Diesel Fuel Spray(I))

  • To study diesel fuel spray behavior, an experimental study was undertaken to investigate injection characteristics in vary ing back pressure and atomization mechanism in a non-evaporating diesel spray. Generally, injection characteristics is the curve of fuel flow plotted against time. The area under this curve is equal to the total quantity of fuel discharged for one injection. The method that measures rate of injection is long tube-type fuel rate indicator. Diesel spray injected into a quiescent gaseous environment under high pressure is observed by taking high speed camera by the focused shadow photographs. The results show that, at the start of injection, as the injected fuel rushes into the quiescent atmosphere the spray angle becomes large. Finally the spray stabilizes at a constant cone angle. Spray penetration length increases with the injection pressure.

  • 고해상도 원격관측용 카메라오 설계된 비축 3반사 광학계의 제3거울인 타원면(원추계수>0) 형상측정 Null 렌즈를 설계하였다. Null 렌즈 설계방식으로는 측정감도는 2배로 높으면서 작은 기준 평면경을 사용하는 혼합방식을 제안하였다. 혼합방식과 autostigmatic 방식으로 설계한 Null 렌즈의 광파면 왜곡 민감도를 비교하여 혼합방식이 보다 유리한 Null 측정 광학게임을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 초음속 유동장내에 분사된 이차제트 주변에서의 열전달 현상을 고찰 하였다 초음속 유동장내에 등열유속조건이 적용된 표면을 설치하고, jet to freestream momentum ratio의 변화에 따른 2차분사를 하여, 2차분사 노즐 주변의 표면온도변화를 적외선카메라를 통하여 측정하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 대류열전달계수를 계산하였다.

  • 초음속 유동내 노출된 표면에서의 열전달 특성 파악을 위하여 적외선 측정 방법이 적용되었다. 등열유속 조건을 만족하는 표면 온도를 적외선 카메라로 촬영하여 이로부터 대류 열전달 계수를 계산하였으며, 실린더가 설치된 표면 근방에서 증가된 열전달 계수 분포를 도출해 낼 수 있었다.

  • Temperature increase during OLED operation can significantly degrade the device lifetime. By using top-emission OLEDs fabricated on glass and silicon substrates that have different thermal conductivities, we found that efficient heat dissipation and corresponding lifetime improvement can be obtained by making a direct contact between the OLED anode and the high thermally-conductive silicon substrate. We describe substrate-dependent OLED heat dissipation behavior and OLED lifetime improvement by using infrared camera images and constant current stress test methods.

  • In this paper, we propose a robust visual feedback controller with integral action for tracking control of n-link robot manipulators in the presence of constant bounded parametric uncertainties. The proposed control input has robustness to the parametric uncertainty and reduces tracking error in the steady-state. The stability of the closed-loop system is shown by Lyapunov method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by simulation results on the 5-link robot manipulators with two degree of freedom.
