공군 조종사의 소명의식과 외상 후 성장의 관계 - 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과와 변혁적 리더십의 조절효과 - (The Relationship between Calling and Posttraumatic Growth of the Air Force Pilot - Mediating Effect of Cognitive Emotion Regulation and Moderating Effect of Transformational Leadership -)

  • This study examined the mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between calling and posttraumatic growth (PTG) and the moderating role of transformational leadership among Air Force pilots. A total of 215 ROK Air Force pilots participated in this study twice with an interval of 4 weeks. The results of this study were as follows. First, calling, transformational leadership, adaptive emotion regulation, and PTG showed statistically significant correlations. Second, a mediating model showed that the relationship between calling and PTG was mediated by adaptive emotion regulation. Third, the moderation effect of transformational leadership in the relationship calling on adaptive emotion regulation was found. Finally, transformational leadership also moderated the mediating effect of calling on PTG through adaptive emotion regulation was identified. Implications, limitations, and future research suggestions were discussed.

  • This research aims to investigate The Role of Calling and Membership as Mediation on the Influence of Spiritual Leadership against Organizational Commitment and its Effect on the Performance of Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD). This study has outlined organizational commitment as a construct thought to be theoretically strategic to empower organizations through calling and membership. The research was conducted upon LPDs in Bali. Inferential analysis techniques have been used to test the empirical model and the hypotheses proposed in this study. The analysis technique used is the structural equation model (SEM) based on variance or component, called Partial Least Square (PLS). The significant findings of this research are, first, spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on calling; second, calling has a positive and significant impact on organizational commitment; and third, calling has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. Several studies have been conducted to estimate the mediating role of calling in explaining the relationship of spiritual leadership with organizational commitment. The results of the study by Bodla and Ali (2012) and Bodla et al. (2013) state that spiritual leadership, which consists of vision and altruistic love, has a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. Likewise, spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on calling.

성인 직장인의 소명의식이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향: 소명수행의식과 몰입의 매개효과와 자기효능감의 조절효과 (The Relationship between Perceiving a Calling and Life Satisfaction: The Mediating Effects of Living a Calling and Flow, The Moderating Effect of Self-Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 성인 직장인의 소명의식이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향과 그 과정에서의 실천적 경험요인인 소명수행의식과 몰입의 매개효과와 자기신념과 관련된 자기효능감의 조절효과에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 및 수도권에 거주하며 서울 소재 직장에 다니는 성인 185명을 대상으로 소명의식, 삶의 만족, 소명수행의식, 몰입과 자기효능감 척도를 사용하여 2016년 6월부터 7월까지 60일간 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 가설은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인 직장인의 소명의식은 삶의 만족에 영향을 미칠 것이다. 둘째, 소명의식과 삶의 만족 간의 관계에서 소명수행의식이 매개효과를 나타낼 것이다. 셋째, 몰입은 소명수행의식과 삶의 만족 간의 관계에서 매개효과를 나타낼 것이다. 넷째, 자기효능감은 소명수행의식과 몰입 간의 관계에서 조절효과를 나타낼 것이다. 본 연구의 가설을 검증하기 위하여 선행 연구 결과들을 바탕으로 연구모형과 경쟁모형 2개를 설정한 후, SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 20.0 통계 프로그램를 이용하여 수집된 데이터에 대한 구조방정식(SEM) 분석을 실시하였다. 검증 결과, 연구모형이 최종모형으로 선택됨으로써 본 연구의 가설은 모두 지지되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 성인 직장인의 소명수행의식과 몰입 등의 실천적 행위에 대한 중요성과 삶의 만족에 영향을 미치는 심리적 요인에 대하여 논의하였다.

매미과 울음 시작 및 종료에 영향을 미치는 환경요인 - 참매미, 말매미를 대상으로 - (Environmental Factors Affecting the Start and End of Cicadae Calling - The Case Study of Hyalessa fuscata and Cryptotympana atrata -)

  • 본 연구는 한국 중부 도심지에서 우점하는 참매미와 말매미를 대상으로 울음 시작 및 종료에 영향을 미치는 환경요인을 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상지는 서울시 반포아파트였고. 연구기간은 2015년 7월 말부터 8월 말까지 2개월이었다. 매미 울음의 시작 및 종료시각 분석 결과 참매미는 평균 5시 21분에, 말매미는 7시 40분에 울음을 시작하였다. 울음 종료는 참매미는 평균 18시 31분, 말매미는 평균 19시 51분에 울음을 종료하였다. 산점도와 상자도표 작성 결과, 참매미는 05시에 규칙적으로 울음을 시작하였고, 말매미는 20시에 참매미와 비교해서 규칙적으로 울음을 그치는 패턴을 보였다. 매미 울음 시작 및 종료시각과 환경요인 간 다중회귀분석 결과, 참매미 울음 시작은 일출시각만이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 선택되었다. 참매미 울음 종료시각은 일몰시각과 전운량이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 말매미 울음 시작 시각은 주로 기온과 일출시각에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났는데, 이 중 기온요인의 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 말매미 울음 종료 시각은 일몰시각에 의해 강하게 영향을 받으며, 이외에 최고기온이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 내용을 종합해보면 참매미의 울음 시작 및 종료에 영향을 미치는 핵심 요인은 일출과 일몰로 판단된다. 이로 인해 일출과 동시에 울음을 시작하고, 종료 시각 또한 일몰에 영향을 받는 것으로 보인다. 말매미는 울음 시작 원인요인은 기온이고, 울음 종료 요인은 일몰로 판단되었다. 이로 인해 말매미 울음 시작은 당일 기온 변화에 따라 편차가 발생하지만, 울음 종료 요인은 일몰과 동시에 일제히 울음을 종료하는 것으로 나타났다.

보육교사의 직업소명의식이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지지 매개효과를 중심으로 (Influence of educare teacher's vocational calling on job satisfaction: Focusing on social support mediating effect)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 직업소명의식이 직무만족도 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 구조적 관계를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 대전과 충남지역 보육교사 270명을 지역적 위치를 고려하여 임의표집하여 전체 표본의 크기로 설정하였다. 2017년 7월 1일부터 8월 14일까지 설문을 실시하였으며, 설문조사를 실시한 후 내용을 불성실하게 기재하였거나 신뢰할 수 없는 14부를 제외한 257부(95,1%)를 분석자료로 사용하였다. 분석과정에서 밝혀진 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적 지지에 대해 직업소명의 직접효과는 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 둘째, 직무만족도에 대해 직업소명의식과 사회적 지지는 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 직업소명의식은 사회적 지지를 매개로 하여 직무만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 결론적으로 보육교사의 직업소명의식이 사회적 지지를 받을 때, 직무만족도는 높아지는 것을 알았다. 보육교직원의 직업소명을 높이는 사회적 심리적 지원시스템을 체계적으로 구축할 필요가 있다.

Study on the Effects of Calling of Social Workers on Their Job Engagement

  • This study is aimed to examine the relationship between calling and job engagement of social workers working at social welfare centers. To this end, the study conducted a self-administered survey of social workers working at social welfare centers in Gwangju Metropolitan City, analysing 154 questionnaires. It was found that the calling of social workers has a significant positive effect on their vitality, dedication and commitment. Based on these, this study discusses its implications and suggests policy implications that can enhance the calling of social workers so as to help them raise their job engagement levels.

소방공무원의 극복력에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing the resilience of firefighters)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of resilience, traumatic events, secondary traumatic stress, and calling reported by firefighters and to identify the factors affecting the resilience of firefighters. Methods: Data were collected using structured questionnaires and 200 fire officials working in D city were enrolled as the subjects. Data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0, and the analyses included descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. Results: The difference in resilience according to general characteristics showed significant differences in health status (F=4.33, p=.014) and job satisfaction (F=6.13, p=.003). The factors affecting resilience were identified as calling (β=.25, p<.001), and the explanatory power for resilience was 19.2%. Conclusion: It is necessary to increase calling in order to increase resilience. Therefore, we suggest that professional education and programs that consider personal characteristics are needed to strengthen the calling.

Recognition of English Calling Cards by Using Projection Method and Enhanced RBE Network

  • In this paper, we proposed the novel method for the recognition of English calling cards by using the projection method and the enhanced RBF (Radial Basis Function) network. The recognition of calling cards consists of the extraction phase of character areas and the recognition phase of extracted characters. In the extraction phase, first of all, noises are removed from the images of calling cards, and the feature areas including character strings are separated from the calling card images by using the horizontal smearing method and the 8-directional contour tracking method. And using the image projection method, the feature areas are split into the areas of individual characters. We also proposed the enhanced RBF network that organizes the middle layer effectively by using the enhanced ART1 neural network adjusting the vigilance threshold dynamically according to the homogeneity between patterns. In the recognition phase, the proposed neural network is applied to recognize individual characters. Our experiment result showed that the proposed recognition algorithm has higher success rate of recognition and faster learning time than the existing neural network based recognition.

일 지역 대학병원 간호사의 소명의식과 직업가치, 조직몰입이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Calling, Work Value, and Organizational Commitment on Turnover Intention in Nurses Employed at University Hospitals in a Region)

  • Objectives : This study was to test the influencing effects of calling, work value, and organizational commitment on turnover intention in hospital nurses. Methods : Two-hundred sixty hospital nurses were recruited in B city, South Korea. They were asked to complete a questionnaire, and 251 data sets were included in the multiple regression analysis. Results : Subjects had more extrinsic work value rather than intrinsic and a low calling level. There were significant correlations among transcendent summons, purpose/meaningfulness, pro-social intentions, intrinsic work value, and organizational commitment. Influencing factors of turnover intention were purpose/meaningfulness (t=-2.170, p=.031) and organizational commitment (t=-7.824, p<.001). The model was statistically significant explaining 27.8% of the variance (F=47.550, p<.001). Conclusions : Nurses showed a weak sense of calling and their work value leaned towards the extrinsic domain. Therefore, nurse managers should support a plan that enhances the calling and intrinsic work value of nurses to get them to commit to their organization and subsequently, reduce the turnover rate.

일부 임상 치과위생사의 직업적 소명의식과 윤리적 성향의 관계 (The relationship between vocational calling and ethical inclination in clinical dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between professional vocation and ethical inclination in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 221 clinical dental hygienist in Busan and Kyeongnam from April 1 to 30, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of structured questions including demographic characteristics(9 questions), vocational calling(9 questions), deontology(12 questions), asceticism(13 questions), and utilitarianism(8 questions). Questionnaire was carried out by Likert scale. Data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS Window 19.0 for frequency, mean and standard deviation analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and linear regression. Results: There was a significantly positive correlation between professional vocation and ethical inclination. The deontology was associated with education, dental service career, duty hours, and number of clients in multivariate analysis after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics and professional vocation. Asceticism was also correlated with education, and utilitarianism was closely associated with vocational calling, work place, number of clients, and monthly income. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop the curricula including vocational calling and ethical inclination in the dental hygiene education. The dental hygienists should learn the ethical and vocational calling as a professional career.
