공정능력지수 산정에 있어 고려사항 (Issues on the Calculation of the Process Capability Index)

  • This study is concerned with process capability index in single process. We enumerated issues on the calculation of process capability index and described the effects of these issues. We explained the development process and the reason of the representative existing process capability indices. We investigated whether the indices agree with the concept of process capability and drew the problems from those results. In addition, we proposed alternative and direction to seize the process capability necessary to the field.

  • The aim of this study is to calculate process emission of GHGs(greenhouse gases) in nonferrous-metal industry, such as Zn, Pb, Cu and Ni. In addition, variation and emission of GHGs generated from these company were defined. And then, GHGs algorithm and calculation formular which were considered as production process in each part of nonferrous-metal industry were developed to develop calculation program of GHGs emission. These algorithm and calculation formular would present fundamental direction about other nonferrous-metal industry in the future.

Numerical calculation method for response of friction pendulum system when XY shear keys are sheared asynchronously

  • When the friction pendulum system and shear keys work together to resist the ground motion, which inclined inputs (non 45°) to the bridge structure, the shear keys in XY direction will be sheared asynchronously, endowed the friction pendulum system with a violent curvilinear motion on the sliding surface during earthquakes. In view of this situation, firstly, this paper abandons the equivalent linearization model of friction and constructs a Spring-Coulomb friction plane isolation system with XY shear keys, and then makes a detailed mechanical analysis of the movement process of friction pendulum system, next, this paper establishes the mathematical model of structural time history response calculation by using the step-by-step integration method, finally, it compiles the corresponding computer program to realize the numerical calculation. The results show that the calculation method in this paper takes advantage of the characteristic that the friction force is always µmg, and creatively uses the "circle making method" to express the change process of the friction force and resultant force of the friction pendulum system in any calculation time step, which can effectively solve the temporal nonlinear action of the plane friction; Compared with the response obtained by the calculation method in this paper, the peak values of acceleration response and displacement response calculated by the unidirectional calculation model, which used in the traditional research of the friction pendulum system, are smaller, so the unidirectional calculation model is not safe.

  • Thermodynamic analysis on silicon consumpton during the chemical vapor deposition of tungten was carried out by calculation equilibrium concerations of all possible product species utilizing a computer progrom according to VCS.(Villars-Cruise-Smith) algorithm. The calculation could show various reaction paths which dominate the tungsten deposition under different process conditions. According to the calculation, the consumption of silicon can also be reduced at a lower total pressure SiH4 without H2 as the reacting gas is most effective for suppression of the excessive consumption of silicon during the deposition process.

A Fast Context Modeling Using Tree-structure of Coefficients from Wavelet-domain

  • In EBCOT, the context modeling process takes excessive calculation time and this paper proposed a method to reduce this calculation time. That is, if the finest resolution coefficient is less than a pre-defined transfer factor the coefficient and its descendents skip the context modeling process. There is a trade-off relationship between the calculation time and the image quality or the amount of output data such that as this threshold value increases, the calculation time and the amount of output data decreases, but the image degradation increases. The experimental results showed that in this range the resulting reduction rate in calculation time was from 3% to 64% in average, the reduction rate in output data was from 32% to 73% in average.

지적측량수수료 산정 공정의 개선방안 (Improvement Plan for Cadastral Surveying Fee Calculation Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 지적측량수수료 종목들에 대한 산정 공정의 지적측량업무 전산환경 반영 정도를 분석해 이에 대한 문제점들을 도출하고, 현 지적측량업무 환경에 부합할 수 있는 공정의 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 문제점 분석결과, 현재 지적측량수수료 공정은 관련 측량 수수료 산정공정과 비교할 경우 복잡성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 현행지적측량기술의 환경 변화나 디지털 지적관리 체계 전환에 따라 업무별 작업 공정이 개선되었음에도 불구하고 부분적으로 이를 반영하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 개선방안에 대해 연구에서는 현재의 보편적인 9단계의 공정을 4단계의 공정으로 개선하는 단순화 방안을 제시하였다. 그리고 현지측량 전 후에 있어 전산파일에 의한 개선된 작업 공정이 적용될 수 있는 개선안을 제시하였다. 끝으로 전산환경에 적합하도록 도면작성 관련 업무의 공정을 4단계로 구분하고, 이에 부합하는 공정의 개선하는 방안을 제시하였다.

SI 열화학 수소 생산 공정 요오드 결정화기 열-물질 수지 계산 (Calculation of Mass-Heat Balance on the Iodine Crystallizer for SI Thermochemical Hydrogen Production Process)

  • SI thermochemical hydrogen production process achieves water splitting into hydrogen and oxygen through three chemical reactions. The process is comprised of three sections and one of them is HI decomposition into $H_2$ and $I_2$ called as Section III. The production of $H_2$ included processes involving EED for concentrating a product stream from Section I. Additionally an $I_2$ crystallization would be considered to reduce burden on EED by removing certain amount of $I_2$ out of a process stream prior to EED. In this study, the current thermodynamic model of SI process was briefly described and the calculation results of the applied Electrolytes NRTL model for phase equilibrium calculations was illustrated for ternary systems of Section III. We calculated temperature and heat duty of an $I_2$ crystallizer and heat duty of heaters using UVa model and heat balance equation of simulation tool. The results were expected to be used as operation information in optimizing HI decomposition process and setting up material balance throughout SI process.

  • International cooperation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is expected to provide a big crisis and a great opportunity at the same time for our industry that heavily consumes energy. To cope actively with the international environmental regulation, such as the Framework Convention on Climate Change, quantitative measurement of the volume of greenhouse gases emitted by various industries and quantitative prediction of the greenhouse gas emissions of the future are becoming more important than anything else at the national level. This study aims to propose the calculation process of carbon dioxide($CO_2$) emission for building in life cycle. This paper describes and compares 9 different tool for environmental load estimation with LCA. This study proposed the calculation process for quantitatively predicting and assessing $CO_2$ emissions during the life cycle of buildings based on the life cycle assessment(LCA). The life cycle steps of buildings were divided into the design/supervision, new construction, repair, renovation, use of operating energy in buildings, maintenance, and reconstruction stage in the life cycle inventory analysis and the method of assessing the environmental load in each stage was proposed.

  • 국내 고준위 방사성폐기물 심층처분시스템에 대한 프로세스 기반의 종합성능평가체계(APro) 개발을 위하여 사용자 편의성이 향상된 모델링 인터페이스를 구축하였다. APro의 모델링 인터페이스는 프로그래밍 언어인 MATLAB을 이용하여 구축되었고, 다중물리현상 모사가 가능한 COMSOL과 지화학반응 계산이 가능한 PHREEQC를 계산 엔진으로 활용하여 연산자분리 방식을 적용하였다. APro는 모델링 영역을 기존의 정형화된 처분시스템으로 제한함으로써 모델의 자유도는 낮지만, 사용자 편의성을 향상시켰다. 처분시스템에서 고려되는 주요 현상들을 모듈화하였고, 이를 "Default process"와 다수의 "Alternative process"로 구분하여 사용자가 선택할 수 있도록 함으로써 모델의 유연성을 높였다. APro는 크게 입력자료 부분과 계산실행 부분으로 구성된다. 기본 입력자료는 하나의 EXCEL 파일에 일정한 포맷으로 정리되고, 계산실행 부분은 MATLAB을 이용하여 코딩되었다. 최종적인 전체 계산 결과는 독립적인 COMSOL 파일 형태로 생성되도록 하여 COMSOL을 이용한 계산 결과의 후처리가 가능하도록 하였다.

  • Calculation of accurate wall heat flux for high enthalpy flows requires a dense grid system, which leads to significantly large computational time. A high-order scheme can improve the efficiency of calculation because wall heat flux can be obtained accurately even with a relatively coarse grid system. However, conventional high order schemes have some drawbacks such as oscillations near a discontinuity and instability in multi-dimensional problem. To resolve these problems, enhanced Multi-dimensional Limiting Process(e-MLP) was applied as a high-order scheme. It could provide robust and accurate solutions with high order accuracy in calculation of high enthalpy flows within a short time. We could confirm the efficiency of the high order e-MLP scheme through grid convergence tests with different grid densities in a hypersonic blunt nose problem.
