고려인삼 엽록차의 화학성분 조성 (Chemical Composition of Panax Ginseng-Leaf Tea)

  • Chemical composition was determined to evaluate the quality of Panel ginseng-leaf tea over green teas. Ginseng-leaf tea was shown to contain higher contents of soluble matter, ascorbic acid and lower contents of tannins, as compared to tea leaves. The profiles of ginsenoside and sugar of ginseng-leaf tea were noticeably different from those of ginseng roots and the sample maintained high levels of these components under the manufacturing process. Total unsaturated fatty acids and free amino acids were estimated to be decreased in ginseng-leaf tea as compared to those of ginseng leaves. The compositions of amino acids and minerals in ginseng-leaf tea were similar to those of tea leaves and glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine, calcium, potassium, sodium, and copper were found to be major components.

A New Variety, 'Yeeun', an Asiatic Hybrid Lily for Pot and Bedding Plant

  • 'Yeeun' an Asiatic hybrid lily was released in 2005 at National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Suwon, Korea. The cross was made in 1994 between Liliium Asiatic 'White Bird' white colored, and Liliium Asiatic 'Cote d'Azur', pink colored variety. It was preliminarily selected as 'A96-5' in 1996. Multiplication and bulbing, and characteristic tests were conducted from 1997 to 2004. The evaluation of characteristics was investigated as 'Wongyo C1-21' in 2004 at Suwon. 'Yeeun' flowers in the end of June and grows 41.6 cm stem length. Flowers are upward-facing, unspotted in petals and yellow green (RHS, 18C). Year-round flowering can be by storing the bulb under $-1.5^{\circ}C$ conditions. For forcing culture, it is necessary to add calcium to the fertilizer or remove side scales to prevent leaf scorch. It is needed to control Botrytis disease in wet season.

감잎의 품종별 화학성분과 항산화활성 (Chemical Components and Antioxidant Activity of Persimmon (Diospyros Kaki Thunb) Leaves)

  • 감잎 4품종과 녹차의 화학성분을 분석하고 항산화 활성을 비교하여 전통 건강차로써 감잎차의 우수성을 알리는 기초 자료로 활용하고자 건시료의 유리당, 유리아미노산, 비타민C, 카페인 등을 분석하였다. 감잎 4품종 모두 녹차에 비해 총 유리당 함량이 높았고 유리당은 sucrose, glucose, fructose, maltose, xylose 5종의 유리당이 동정되었으며 그 중 sucrose의 함량이 가장 높았다. 유리아미노산 함량은 감잎 품종에서 총 31∼32종이 검출되었으며, 총 유리아미노산 함량은 상주둥시 60.40 nmol/$\mu$L, 봉옥 53.21 nmol/$\mu$L, 월하시 52.29 nmol/$\mu$L, 청도반시 47.58 nmol/$\mu$L이었고 감잎에 비해 녹차가 114.72 nmol/$\mu$L로 가장 많았다. 비타민 C 함량은 월하시 0.089%, 청도반시 0.079%, 봉옥 0.032%, 상주둥시 0.015%, 녹차 0.01%로 감잎이 녹차에 비해 8배 이상 높았다. 카페인은 감잎 4품종에서는 발견되지 않았고, 녹차는 6.63 mg/100 g의 함량을 보였고, 카테친은 청도반시 0.35%, 봉옥 0.34%로 가장 높은 함량을 보였고, 녹차는 0.07%로 감잎의 1/5 정도 수준이었다. gallic acid는 감잎 품종 중에는 상주둥시 0.32%, 봉옥 0.20%가 높은 편이었고 녹차 1.41%로 가장 높았다. Ca의 함량은 청도반시가 9516.17 ppm으로 가장 높았고 녹차 2349.71 ppm로 감잎이 녹차에 비해 4∼5배정도 높았다. 향기성분 패턴은 감잎 품종간에는 비슷한 경향이었고 녹차와는 차이가 있었으며 항산화 활성은 감잎 품종 중에는 월하시가 IC50($\mu$g)가 42.0으로 가장 높게 나타났고 녹차가 IC50($\mu$g)가 19.0로 감잎에 비해 높았다.

전차법(煎茶法)에 따른 녹차중(綠茶中) 무기물(無機物) 함량(含量) (The Mineral Contents of Green Tea Made with Different Drawing Conditions)

  • 1984년 6월 시판(市販) 녹차(綠茶) 4종(種)을 구입하여 전차시(煎茶時) 물의 온도를 70 및 $80^{\circ}C$에서 8, 5 및 3분간씩, 그리고 $70^{\circ}C$$80^{\circ}C$에서는 3분간씩 3회 반복 전차(煎茶)했을 때의 무기물(無機物) 침출량(浸出量)을 원자흡광분광광도계(原子吸光分光光度計)로써 측정한 바, 그 결과(結果)를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 차(茶)(제품화(製品化)된 녹차(綠茶)) 100g중 K $1737{\sim}3000\;mg$, Mg $178{\sim}205\;mg$, Ca $171{\sim}201\;mg$, Mn $54{\sim}71\;mg$, Na $24{\sim}50\;mg$, Fe $11.6{\sim}12.3\;mg$, Cn $3.4{\sim}5.3\;mg$, Zn $4.6{\sim}5.9\;mg$, 함유(含有)되어 있었으며 차(茶)의 종류에 따라서 차이(差異)를 보였다. 2. 차액(茶液)중에 침출(浸出)된 무기성분의 침출비율은 K>Zn>Mg>Mn>Fe>Na>Ca>Ca순이었다. 3. 차액(茶液)중의 무기성분의 침출량은 전차시(煎茶時) 물의 온도가 높을수록 시간이 길어질수록 침출량이 많았다. 4. 같은 온도에서 5분 및 8분간 전차(煎茶)했을 때보다 3분간 3회 반복했을 때 무기물의 침출량이 현저하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과(結果)로 보아서 차액중(茶液中) 무기물침출량(無機物浸出量)은 차(茶)의 종류(種類)에 따라, 또 무기물(無機物)의 종류(種類)에 따라 다소의 차이(差異)를 보이기는 하였으나 전차시(煎茶時) 8분간 1회 침출한 양에 비하여 3분간 3회 반복 전차(煎茶)하였을 때 총 침출량이 많았으므로 생활차도(生活茶道)에서는 3회 반복 전차법(煎茶法)이 보다 결과적(結果的)인 방법이라고 생각된다.

오가피(五加皮)의 형태(形態)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on a Morphological Identification of Acanthopanacis Cortex)

  • Objectives : In order to distinguish morphological characteristics of trunk bark and root bark of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica (Rehder) Nakai and the trunk bark and root bark of Hemiptelea davidii Planchon were sampled and compared in terms of their external and internal features with flour states according to their medical use, through microscopic examination. Methods : The slice of the tested material made by paraffin section technique was colored with Safranine Malachite Green contrast methods, and the flour of it was mounted by the liquid made by the same ratio of each of glycerin, acetic acid, and water, and then observed and photographed by olympus-BHT. Results : 1. Internal Features 1) A large parenchymatous cell was observed in the phloem of the slice of both trunk bark and root bark of Ulmi Cortex. However, both of the trunk bark and root bark of Hemipteleae Cortex did not have parenchymatous cell in the phloem; instead, stone cells including much square crystal of calcium oxalate were distributed around fiber bundle, and the parenchymatous cell included much druse crystal of calcium oxalate. 2) In both the Ulmi Cortex and Hemipteleae Cortex, rhytidome was observed in trunk bark, but not in root bark, but in the parenchymatous cell of the root bark of the Ulmi Cortex contained starch grain. 2. Flour States 1) In the flour of root bark of the Ulmi Cortex, a large parenchymatous cell was observed. However, in the flour of trunk bark and root bark of Hemipteleae Cortex, no parenchymatous eel was found; instead, stone cell including square crystal of calcium oxalate and druse crystal of calcium oxalate were observed. 2) There was no remarkable difference between the trunk bark and root bark of Hemipteleae Cortex. However, starch grain was contained in the parenchymatous cell of the root bark of Ulmi Cortex but not in the trunk bark of it. Conclusions : There were some morphological differences in external, internal, and flour parts of Ulmi Cortex and Hemipteleae Cortex. In particular, there was a morphological difference in flour states between the trunk bark and root bark of Ulmi Cortex, it is possible to use microscope to distinguish their flour states.

석탄폐석을 이용한 소다라임계 컬러유리의 광학적 특성 (Optical Properties of Soda-lime Color Glass Fabricated by Using Refused Coal Ore)

  • Glass was fabricated using refused coal ore obtained from the Dogye coal mine in Samcheok. We additionally used soda ash and calcium carbonate to make a glass with the chemical composition of soda-lime glass, and we also used white, brown, and green glass cullet to make various kinds of colored glass. Transparent glass was fabricated by melting batch materials including refused coal ore at $1550^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr in an electrical furnace. The light transmittance and color chromaticity were measured by a UV/VIS/NIR spectrometer. Transparent glass with a light transmittance of over 80% was fabricated using normal refused coal ore and white glass cullet. Various kinds of colored glass with a light transmittance of 30-80% were fabricated using refused coal ore and brown or green glass cullet. The light transmittance of the mixed color glass samples, fabricated using normal refused coal ore and brown glass cullet and green glass cullet, indicated 30-47%, a relatively low value, in the condition of a cullet ratio of 20-50%. The characteristics of the color chromaticity of the glass samples were indicated in a chromaticity diagram by x-coordinates, y-coordinates, Y (lightness). The values of x-coordinates and y-coordinates were moved with a regular directional property according to the kind and amount of glass cullet. Therefore, we concluded that refused coal ore can be used for raw materials of color glass products like art glass and glass tile.

제2형 당뇨 모델 KK-Ay 마우스에 대한 발효 녹차의 항당뇨 효과 (Anti-diabetic Effects of Fermented Green Tea in KK-Ay Diabetic Mice)

  • 제2형 당뇨질환모델인 KK-$A^y$를 이용하여 녹차와 발효녹차의 항당뇨 활성을 측정한 결과, 발효 녹차는 비발효녹차에 비해 높은 항당뇨 활성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 발효녹차 섭취군의 혈당은 당뇨 대조군보다 낮게 유지되었으며, 60일 이후에는 시판 건강기능식품 섭취군(양성대조군)과 유사한 수준으로 유지되었을 뿐만 아니라 당화혈색소값도 8.08%로 대조군 및 양성대조군 군보다 낮게 나타났다. 간 조직의 DNA microarray 분석결과, 이러한 발효녹차의 항당뇨 활성은 glycolysis 활성화를 통한 glucose 이용율 및 베타세포 function 증가에 의한 것으로 사료된다. 또한 발효녹차는 혈중 triglyceride 수치를 낮추고 HDL-cholesterol 수치를 높이는 등 당뇨로 인해 발생할 수 있는 지질대사이상 개선에도 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이로 미루어 보아 발효녹차는 항당뇨 관련 건강기능식품으로의 상업적 이용가능성이 높을 것으로 생각된다.

도시지역(都市地域)(대전(大田))일부 국민학교(國民學校) 아동(兒童)의 도시락 실태조사연구(實態調査硏究) (Survey Study on the Packed-lunch Boxes for Elementary School Children in Daejeon City)

  • The present study is concerned with nutritional status and palatability of the packed-lunch in elementary school children in Daejeon city. Rice and side dishes in the lunch box were weighed and the contained nutrients were analyzed by the Food Composition Table. The result of survey is as follows; 1) The means of nutritional values of 523 lunch boxes were calorie 562.48 Cal. percentage of the recommended dietary allowances.(79.11%), protein 19.16gr. (88.43%), animal protein 6.03gr. (83.50%), calcium 110.75mg (48.15%), iron 2.20mg. (56.15%), Vitamin A 328.16 I.U.. (49.22%), Vitamin $B_1$ 0.22mg. (59.45%), Vitamin $B_2$ 0.14mg (32.56%), Niacin 3.20mg. (68.08%), Vitamin C 9.79mg. (73.44%). All the nutrients are under the recommended dietary allowances. 2) The correlation between the boys and girls in the intake of protein, calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin $B_1$, Niacin index revealed statistical significancy at the level of P<0.01. 3) According to the intake of calorie, the ratio of carbohydrates, protein and fat is 78 : 14 : 8, which is excessive meal of carbohydrate. 4) Among the total intake of the protein consists of 30.20% for the boys and 32.90% for the girls. 5) The most favorite food for boys and girls from the packed-lunch is kimchi, egg, ham, sausage, cuttle-fish, laver and beef, and pork and pickles are most undesirable items. 6) The most favorite snack is bread, cake, ice cream, chocolate, fruits and milk. 7) Both boys and girls like Kimchi, fried and saute foods but dislike Namul (seasoned green vegetables) the most. 8. The side dishes of the packed·lunch lack in variety of cooking method.

임상화학검사실에서 회수율 실험의 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study of the Recovery Experiment in Clinical Chemistry)

  • The purpose of the recovery experiment in clinical chemistry is performed to estimate proportional systematic error. We must know all measurements have some error margin in measuring analytical performance. Proportional systematic error is the type of error whose magnitude increases as the concentration of analyte increases. This error is often caused by a substance in the sample matrix that reacts with the sought for analyte and therefore competes with the analytical reagent. Recovery experiments, therefore, are used rather selectively and do not have a high priority when another analytical method is available for comparison purposes. They may still be useful to help understand the nature of any bias revealed in the comparison of kit experiments. Recovery should be expressed as a percentage because the experimental objective is to estimate proportional systematic error, which is a percentage type of error. Good recovery is 100.0%. The difference between 100 and the observed recovery(in percent) is the proportional systematic error. We calculated the amount of analyte added by multiplying the concentration of the analyte added solution by the dilution factor(mL standard)/(mL standard + mL specimen) and took the difference between the sample with addition and the sample with dilution. When making judgments on method performance, the observed that the errors should be compared to the defined allowable error. The average recovery needs to be converted to proportional error(100%/Recovery) and then compared to an analytical quality requirement expressed in percent. The results of recovery experiments were total protein(101.4%), albumin(97.4%), total bilirubin(104%), alkaline phosphatase(89.1%), aspartate aminotransferase(102.8), alanine aminotransferase(103.2), gamma glutamyl transpeptidase(97.6%), creatine kinase(105.4%), lactate dehydrogenase(95.9%), creatinine(103.1%), blood urea nitrogen(102.9%), uric acid(106.4%), total cholesterol(108.5), triglycerides(89.6%), glucose(93%), amylase(109.8), calcium(102.8), inorganic phosphorus(106.3%). We then compared the observed error to the amount of error allowable for the test. There were no items beyond the CLIA criterion for acceptable performance.

  • 토양(土壤)에 납의 농도(濃度)를 0, 150, 300mg/kg로 처리(處理)하고 콩, 팥, 땅콩, 감자, 고구마, 옥수수, 참깨, 들깨에 대(對)한 납흡수량과 콩과 들깨에 대하여는 소석회(消石灰)와 인산(燐酸) 2 배양(倍量)을 증시(增施)하여 납 흡수량(吸收量), 수량(收量), 토양중(土壤中) 납 함량(含量)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 작물별(作物別) 납 흡수량(吸收量). ${\circ}$ 무처리(無處理) : 참깨>옥수수>고구마>들깨>감자>콩=팥=땅콩 ${\circ}$ 150mg/kg처리(處理) : 참깨> 옥수수>감자>고구마>콩>들깨>땅콩>팥 ${\circ}$ 300mg/kg처리(處理) : 참깨>감자>들깨>옥수수=콩>땅콩>고구마>팥 2. 작물부위별(作物部位別) 납함량(含量) : 뿌리>줄기>잎>곡립(穀粒) 3. 토양중(土壤中) 납함량(含量) 증가(增加)에 따라 각작물(各作物) 모두 납함량(含量)이 증가(增加)하고 수량(收量)은 감소(減少)하였다. 4. 소석회시용(消石灰施用)으로 납함량(含量)이 감소(減少)되나 인산증시(燐酸增施)는 들깨는 감소(減少)되나 콩은 경향이 없었다. 5. 토양중(土壤中) Pb/Ca+Mg당량비(當量比)가 감소(減少)함에 따라 콩과 들깨 모두 잎과 곡립(穀粒)의 납함량(含量)이 감소(減少)되었다. 6. 소석회시용(消石灰施用)으로 콩과 들깨가 증수(增收)되나 인산(燐酸)은 감수(減收)되었다. 7. CaO함량(含量)은 토양중(土壤中) 납농도(濃度)가 증가(增加)할수록 잎과 줄기에서 증가(增加)하나 뿌리에서는 감소(減少)하는 경향이며 $P_2O_5$ 함량(含量)은 모두에서 증가(增加)하는 경향이었다. 8. 시험후(試驗後) 토양(土壤)의 1N $NH_4$ OAC가용성(可溶性) 납함량(含量)은 150mg/kg처리(處理)에서는 26~50ppm, 300mg/kg처리(處理)에서는 42~70ppm이었고 시험토양(試驗土壤)의 pH는 소석회(消石灰)>인산(燐酸)>무시용(無施用) 순(順)으로 높았다.
