취업준비 과정에서 승무원 이미지와 취업결정과의 관계 (Relationship Between the Airline Cabin Crew Images and the Airline Employment Decisions)

  • 이 연구는 경제상황 변화와 인구통계학적 구조변화 등으로 인하여 국내 취업시장이 불안하게 인식되고 있는 가운데 항공산업 발전을 배경으로 항공사 취업을 목표로 하는 대학생을 대상으로 항공사 승무원 이미지가 항공사 취업결정에 미치는 관계를 분석하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 342부의 설문지를 바탕으로 SPSS 20.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 항공사 승무원 이미지가 항공사 취업결정에 미치는 영향은 부분채택 되었다. 세부적으로는 항공사 승무원 이미지 중 고객지향성과 패션성이 항공사 취업결정의 호감성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직업전문성과 외향성은 신뢰성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 항공사 승무원 이미지 중 직업전문성, 패션성, 외향성 등은 장래성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 연구결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 유형성은 서비스에서 필수적인 요인이지만 승무원을 준비하는 대학생은 취업결정에 앞서 직업으로서의 승무원에 대한 인식이 필요하다. 둘째, 항공사 취업준비생은 풍부한 상식, 항공관련 정보력, 기내 식음료 정보 등의 지식을 기반으로 한 직업전문성을 고려한 접근이 필요하다. 셋째, 인적서비스가 강조되는 승무원은 밝은 표정, 고객을 배려하는 인성, 친근한 미소, 상냥한 말씨, 승객과의 친화력, 탁월한 기내서비스 능력 등 고객지향성 요인의 중요성인식과 자질 준비가 필요하다. 이 연구는 취업 준비생이 인식하는 항공사 승무원 이미지와 취업결정에 대한 세부적 인과관계 연구한데 의의가 있으며, 준비생은 직업전문성과 아울러 외향성, 패션성 등과 같은 유형적 요인가 취업결정에 영향을 미쳤다.

The Effect of Emotional Image on Customer Attitude

  • This study examines the color image of uniform of airline cabin crew according to the demographic characteristics of the customer and demonstrates how it affects the cognitive image of airlines. Adjective adjectives were derived for uniform color images of all eight airlines in Korea and analyzed the image of airline brand color. Based on the analysis of color images, the difference in perception according to the demographic characteristics of passengers was analyzed. When the colors of airline uniforms are mainly blue, sky blue, white and ivory, they have a lot of trust, neat and elegant images. Uniforms with primary colors such as red, orange and green beans are found to have a lot of cheerful, developmental and enterprising images. In addition, the empirical analysis of the impact of the customer's cognitive perception and favoritism on the uniform color image of the airline crew showed that the more positive the airline's positive perception of the uniform color image, the more positive the cognitive image is. In other words, the empirical analysis revealed that the airline's uniform color image, its cognitive image of the airline, and its popularity have significant positive relationships.

A Study on the Image of Male Flight Attendant on Customer Satisfaction

  • Purpose - Many studies have shown the effects of the external images of female flight attendants on the customers' satisfaction. Recently, the perception of male flight attendants has become more important and positive, and airlines are hiring a significant number of male flight attendants every year. Due to the lack of research on the male flight attendant, however, the images of male flight attendants were investigated for this study. Research, design, data and methodology - Using survey techniques with 204 respondents, this study used analytical data based their resulting analysis. Results - The study examined whether the image of the male flight attendant affects the cognitive and emotional perceptions of customers. The focus of the present study is the external image of the male flight attendant, and the following image-component divisions were formed: hairstyle, body type, uniform, speech, and facial expression. Conclusions - The study purpose sought to determine whether the image of the male flight attendant exert effects on the emotional and cognitive images of airlines, and if these images have a positive effect on the customers' satisfaction and loyalty for an airline, so that airlines can use the external image of the male flight attendant to help with its own image reinforcement.

저가항공사 선택속성 IPA분석 연구 (Study on Choice Attributes for Low-Cost Carriers Using IPA)

  • Air travel demand has recently been growing and establishment and operation of low-cost carriers have been increased. Against this backdrop, low-cost carriers need to figure out diversified customer demand for low-cost carriers and ways to maximize marketing efficiency before applying it to the field so that they can attain superiority to large carriers in increased intensified competition. Low-cost carriers need to be differentiated from other carriers for the purpose of improving profits. Toward this end, this study conducted analysis on importance and satisfaction with carrier choice using IPA with regard to low-cost carrier customers. In conclusion, the paper accurately examined advantages and disadvantages of low-cost carriers compared to general carriers based on results of IPA analysis and suggested managerial strategies to enhance competitiveness based on division into four parts including maintenance and enforcement (1st quadrant, Delay compensation, Booking rapidity, Check rapidity, Crew service, refund service, baggage service, punctuality, transit services, airlines images), concentrated improvement (2nd quadrant, price, Convenience of seat), passive administration (3rd quadrant, Boarding service, cabin cleanliness, flight schedule, whether local crew on board, meal service, in-flight entertainment service), and enhanced satisfaction (4th quadrant, duty-free service, Variety of routes), so that practical suggestions could be presented to employees working in the field.
