Dynamic Performance Analysis for Different Vector-Controlled CSI- Fed Induction Motor Drives

  • High-performance Current Source Inverter (CSI)-fed, variable speed alternating current drives are prepared for various industrial applications. CSI-fed Induction Motor (IM) drives are managed by using different control methods. Noteworthy methods include scalar Control (V/f), Input-Output Linearization (IOL) control, Field-Oriented Control (FOC), and Direct Torque Control (DTC). The objective of this work is to compare the dynamic performance of the aforementioned drive control methods for CSI-fed IM drives. The dynamic performance results of the proposed drives are individually analyzed through sensitivity tests. The tests selected for the comparison are step changes in the reference speed and torque of the motor drive. The operation and performance of different vector control methods are verified through simulations with MATLAB/Simulink and experimental results.

Robust Precoding and Postcoding for Multicell Multiuser Transmission using Imperfect CSI

  • This paper studies the problem of precoding and post-coding design for multicell multiuser downlink transmissions in the absence of perfect channel state information (CSI). Using statistical information of imperfect CSI, an iterative multiuser multicell transceiver design is formulated by minimizing the mean squared error (MSE) cost function of signal and leakage interference under per-base station power constraint (PBPC). The convergence of the iterative precoding and postcoding algorithm is verified by analytical and empirical results. The proposed precoding and postcoding algorithm offers a low computational complexity and robustness against CSI imperfection.

  • In this paper, we propose a new channel estimation scheme for amplify and forward cooperative diversity with relay selection. In order to select best relay, it is necessary to know channel state information (CSI) at the destination. Most of the previous works, however, assume that perfect CSI is available at the destination. In addition, when the number of relay is increased it is difficult to estimate CSI through all relays within coherence time of a channel because of the large amount of frame overhead for channel estimation. In a proposed channel estimation scheme, each terminal has distinct pilot signal which is orthogonal each other. By using orthogonal property of pilot signals, CSI is estimated over two pilot signal transmission phases so that frame overhead is reduced significantly. Due to the orthogonal property among pilot signals, estimation error does not depend on the number of relays. Simulation result shows that the proposed channel estimation scheme provides accurate CSI at the destination.

산소소생기 Oxylator EM-100, MicroVenT CSI-3000, OXY-LIFE II의 환기량과 기도내압 비교 - 마네킨 연구 - (Comparison of the Ventilatory Volume and Airway Pressures using Oxylator EM-100, MicroVenT CSI-3000, OXY-LIFE II -A manikin study -)

  • 이 연구는 산소소생기 Oxylator EM-100, MicroVenT CSI-3000, OXY-LIFE II을 이용하여 인공호흡을 시행할 때 환기량과 기도내압을 비교 분석하였다. 실험기간은 2017년 2월 13일로 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 평균 환기량은 Oxylator EM-100이 551.44 ml (${\pm}18.70$), MicroVenT CSI-3000은 527.26 ml (${\pm}17.89$), OXY-LIFE II는 369.46 ml (${\pm}12.30$)의 환기량을 보였고, 평균 기도내압은 Oxylator EM-100이 $11.89cmH_2O$ (${\pm}.41$), MicroVenT CSI-3000은 $11.66cmH_2O$ (${\pm}.34$), OXY-LIFE II는 $8.02cmH_2O$ (${\pm}.25$)로 측정되었다. 이 연구는 현장에서 Oxylator EM-100, MicroVenT CSI-3000, and OXY-LIFE II에 따라 적절한 환기량 전달을 위한 방법을 검증하여 사용방법에 대한 기초자료를 제공하였다.

  • 하이브리드 ARQ 및 기회적 중계 기법(opportunistic relaying)은 이동통신 환경에서 다이버시티 이득(diversity gain)을 높이기 위해 널리 사용되는 기법이다. 기회적 중계 기법에서 최적의 중계기(relay)를 선택하는 데 중계기와 단말기 간 채널 상태 정보(CSI: channel state information)가 요구되는데, 수신 단말기가 고속으로 이동하는 경우 채널 상태 정보는 지연된(outdated) 정보가 된다. 본 논문에서는 하이브리드 ARQ 기반 기회적 중계 기법에서 지연된 채널 정보를 알 때의 시스템 성능을 불능 확률(outage probability) 및 처리율(throughput) 관점에서 분석하고자 한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 이 분석이 정확한지 검증한다.

  • Customer Satisfaction Management(CSM) is becoming more common and the importance of measuring the CS Index(CSI) is getting higher and higher. Furthermore, the existing CSI have many problems in view of the link between enterprise result and those indecision, which could not explain the links clearly. Therefore, NPS(Net Promoter Score) index have been developed by Fred Reichheld and the NPS shows up rapidly and attract attention. In this paper, we provide conceptual frameworks on the links among the latent variables(total CSI, elementary CS and the referral) and propose more effective and practical index between CSI and the "would recommend" index through testing the Structural Equation Model(SEM) on "CSI${\leftrightarrow}$would recommend${\leftrightarrow}$referral".

  • In this paper, vector control of induction motor drives using space current vector PWM is presented. The scheme gives advantages, besides robustness to inverter arm-shoot, sinusoidal input current and voltage for induction motors. In addition, space vector PWM for CSI produces faster transient response than conventional pattern PWM. Also, a modulation index control is proposed.

ML Symbol Detection for MIMO Systems in the Presence of Channel Estimation Errors

  • In wireless communication, the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is a well-known approach to improve the reliability as well as the data rate. In MIMO systems, channel state information (CSI) is typically required at the receiver to detect transmitted signals; however, in practical systems, the CSI is imperfect and contains errors, which affect the overall system performance. In this paper, we propose a novel maximum likelihood (ML) scheme for MIMO systems that is robust to the CSI errors. We apply an optimization method to estimate an instantaneous covariance matrix of the CSI errors in order to improve the detection performance. Furthermore, we propose the employment of the list sphere decoding (LSD) scheme to reduce the computational complexity, which is capable of efficiently finding a reduced set of the candidate symbol vectors for the computation of the covariance matrix of the CSI errors. An iterative detection scheme is also proposed to further improve the detection performance.

CSI 지연이 있는 상황 인지 무선 협동 릴레이 네트워크의 오수신율 (Outage Performance of Cooperative Cognitive Wireless Relay Networks with Delayed CSI)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근에 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있는 상황인지 무선시스템을 대상으로 하여, 직접 경로 및 간접 경로를 갖는 협동 다이버시티를 적용하였을 경우 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 그리고 릴레이-목적지 경로에서는 여러 개 의 릴레이 중 가장 큰 신호 대 잡음비를 갖는 릴레이만 송신하는 선택 릴레이 방식을 채택하였고, 이 릴레이를 선택하기 위하여 필수적으로 발생되는 채널 상태정보(CSI) 지연에 의한 시스템 성능의 열화를 포함한 식을 유도하였다. 분석결과 직접 경로로부터의 수신 전력이 간접경로 수신 전력의 1/10만 있어도 시스템의 성능이 4.4 dB 개선되므로 Rayleigh 페이딩 환경 하에서 협동 다이버시티의 적용이 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었고, 상황 인지 시스템의 주파수 획득 확률이 적을수록, 그리고 채널 지연이 클수록 시스템의 성능은 저하되었다.

  • To reduce the feedback overhead of predicted CSI (channel status information) of adaptive OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing), we use partial data of CSI and employ linear interpolation. Simulation results show estimated CSI and its MSE.
