Electrical Properties of Organic light-emitting Diode with Oxygen Plasma Treatment (산소 플라즈마 처리에 따른 유기 발광 다이오드의 전기적 특성)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the electric characteristics of the OLEDs device of which anode ITO has been treated with the oxygen plasma. We fabricated the basic three-layer structure (ITO / AF / $Alq_3$ / $Cs_2CO_3$ / Al) device, analyzed how the oxygen plasma treatments of the ITO surface affects to the electrical characteristics of OLEDs. We also produced a four-layer structure device (ITO / AF / TPD / $Alq_3$ / $Cs_2CO_3$ / Al) with the oxygen plasma treatment. From the comparative analysis to the devices, we confirmed following results. The three-layer structure OLEDs device with oxygen plasma treatment has better characteristics than the device without the treatments; maximum luminance, luminous efficiency, and external quantum efficiency are improved approximately 151 [%], 126 [%], and 175[%], respectively. Also, the electric characteristics of the four-layer structure device with oxygen plasma treatment are improved comparing to the characteristics of the three-layer structure device with oxygen plasma treatment; maximum luminance, luminous efficiency, and external quantum efficiency are improved approximately 144 [%], 115 [%], and 124[%], respectively.

Chitosan Nanoparticles as a New Delivery System for the Anti-HIV Drug Zidovudine

  • Chitosan-based nanoparticles (CSNP) were prepared through ionic cross-linking and gelation of chitosan (CS) by tripolyphosphate (TPP). CS properties such as molecular weight, and preparation conditions were screened and the resulting nanoparticles were examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The obtained particles were consistently spherical with an overall diameter of approximately $107{\pm}20$ nm. They were successfully used as a carrier for Zidovudine, an anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which, to our knowledge, is novel. The encapsulation ability, loading capacity, and controlled release behavior for these CSNP was evaluated. Results indicated that their intrinsic properties were strongly affected by properties inherent to CS such as molecular weight, and by the preparation condition, such as cross-linking density, which depends on the concentration of the cross-linker. In vitro release tests for the entrapped zidovudine showed that the CNNP provided a continuous release that can last upwards 20 h.

다층 전자주입층을 가진 녹색 유기발광소자의 발광 효율 향상 메커니즘

  • 유기발광소자는 차세대 디스플레이로 각광받으며 모바일 디스플레이에 이어 대형 디스플레이의 상용화 단계에 이르고 있다. 유기발광소자의 효율을 높이기 위해서는 여러 가지 구조에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 유기물 내에서는 정공 이동도가 전자 이동도보다 빠르기 때문에 유기발광소자의 발광층에서 전자와 정공이 효율적으로 균형을 이루기 위하여 전자 주입효율 증진에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 녹색 유기발광소자의 전자 주입 효율을 향상 하여 소자의 발광 효율을 증진하는 발광효율 향상 메커니즘을 규명하였다. Cesium nitrate(CsNO3)와 lithium quinolate (Liq)를 다층 전자주입층으로 사용한 녹색 유기발광소자는 indiumtin-oxide 양극전극 위에 진공 증착 방법을 사용하여 유기발광소자를 제작하였다. 정공수송층으로 N,N'-di(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenylbenzidine (NPB), 발광층으로 tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) (Alq3), 전자수송층으로 Alq3와 4,7-diphenyl-l-10-phenanthroline (BPhen), 전자주입층으로 CsNO3/Liq와 Liq, Al을 음극 전극으로 각각 사용하였다. CsNO3/Liq와 Liq를 전자주입층과 Alq3와 BPhen 전자 수송층으로 각각 사용한 녹색 유기발광소자의 전자 주입 성능을 비교 하여 발광 효율 향상 메커니즘을 규명하였다. CsNO3/Liq 전자주입층을 사용한 유기발광소자가 Liq 전자주입층을 사용한 유기발광소자보다 전극으로부터 전자 주입효율이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 전자주입효율 향상으로 발광층의 전자와 정공의 재결합을 증가하여 녹색 유기발광소자의 효율이 증진되었고 구동전압이 낮아졌다.

Quality Characteristics of Bread Added on Chia seed Powder (치아시드 분말을 첨가한 식빵의 품질특성)

  • To examine the quality characteristics of bread made of different amounts of chia seed powder, a functional food ingredient, this study made bread by adding chia seed powder by 1%, 3%, and 5% of the flour weight. When bread dough properties were determined using mixograph, all doughs were appropriate for bread-making. In the evaluation of fermentation rate, the dough with 3% of chia seed powder CS 3 showed the most favorable fermentation rate during the first 60-min fermentation of the bread. According to CrumbScan, the fineness of bread pores were higher in control group than bread loaves containing chia seed powder. The volume of bread in control group was significantly lower than those of other experimental groups. The volume and specific volume were highest when chia seed powder was added by 3%. According to preference analysis, appearance and taste was best in CS 3, showing the highest overall score in preference. Therefore, the optimum amount of chia seed powder is identified to be 3% in bread-making.

  • Purpose: This study intends to offer strategic implications that can be used in Korean medicine hospitals through analysis of causal relationship among factors focusing on image improvement and trust building. Methods: Differential model was introduced to test causal relationship. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. Results: Medical service has effects on image, trust, and CS. CS has an effect on trustworthiness, and trustworthiness has positive effect on loyalty intention and has negative effect on switching intention. Emotional attachment has moderating functions between trust and loyalty intention and between trust and switching intention. Conclusion: This study offers practical implications to relevant managers, at the same time it has limitations that omits relevant study of inducing factor for emotional attachment.

  • Customer satisfaction is an ever-growing concern of management throughout the world. To find the way to increase customer satisfaction, we must understand customer requirements. Kano distinguishes between three types of product requirements(:must-be, one-dimensional, attractive requirements which influence customer satisfaction in different ways when met. Timko has developed customer satisfaction(CS) coefficient based on Kano model. The CS coefficient is indicative of how strongly a product feature may influence satisfaction. As there were a few limitations on the Kano's method and on the Timko's customer satisfaction index method. The objective of this study is to provide improved methodology based on the Kano's method. One case studies are solved by the proposed method.

Effects of Weathering Processes on Radioactive Cesium Sorption with Mineral Characterization in Korean Nuclear Facility Site (국내 원전 부지 내 암석의 광물학적 특성 규명 및 풍화에 따른 방사성 세슘(137Cs)의 흡착 평가)

  • This study was to characterize the minerals in fractured and bedrock zone, and determine quantitatively sorption for radioactive cesium ($^{137}Cs$) at the Korean nuclear facility site. The rock samples were granite group that mainly consists of quartz and feldspar with 10~20% mica minerals. Chlorite was observed as secondary mineral for the rock samples collected from fractured zone, but not for bedrock samples. The $^{137}Cs$ sorption distribution coefficients increased to $K_d$ = 880~960 mL/g in the fractured zone because of the presence of secondary minerals formed by weathering processes, compared to the bedrock zone ($K_d$ = 820~840 mL/g). These results suggest that the released $^{137}Cs$ to groundwater environment could be significantly retarded in the fractured zone in the case of severe nuclear accident at the study site.
