Cr(III)-Tetraaza Macrocyclic Complexes Containing Auxiliary Ligands (Part I); Synthesis and Characterization of Cr(III)-Benzoato and Chlorobenzoato Macrocyclic Complexes

  • The reaction of $cis-[Cr([14]-decane)(OH_2)_2]^+$ ([14]-decane = rac-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-teraazacyclotetradecane) with auxiliary ligands {$L_a$ = benzoate(bz) or chlorobenzoate(cbz)} leads to a new compound $[Cr([14]-decane)(bz)_2]ClO_4$ or $[Cr([14]-decane)(cbz)_2]ClO_4$. These complexes have been characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, conductivity, IR and Vis spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure of $[Cr([14]-decane)(cbz)_2]^+$ was determined. The complex shows a distorted octahedral coordination environment with the macrocycle adopting a folded cis-V conformation. The angle $N_{axial}-Cr-N_{axial}$ deviates by $14.5^{\circ}$ from the ideal value of $180^{\circ}$for a perfect octahedron. The bond angle cis-O-Cr-O between the Cr(III) ion and the two carboxylate oxygen atoms of the monodentate p-chlorobenzoate ligands is close to 90$^{\circ}$. The FAB mass spectra of the $cis-[Cr([14]-decane)(La)_2]ClO_4$ display peaks due to the molecular ions $[Cr([14]-decane)(bz)_2-H]^\;,\;[Cr([14]-decane)(cbz)_2-2H]^$ at m/z 578, 646, respectively.

Sphene-Pink 안료에 미치는 CrCl3의 영향 (Influence of CrCl3 in Sphene-Pink Pigments)

  • In high temperature ceramic glazes, a stable range of pink-red colors producing $Cr_2O_3-SnO_2-CaO-SiO_2$ pigments are factored by Cassiterite and Malayaite relationship with $Cr_2O_3$. The experiment described the effect of $CrCl_3$ by adding $H_3BO_3$ as a mineralizer to increase the formation of Malayaite crystal, substituting $CrCl_3$ instead of $Cr_2O_3$ in pigment as a chromophore. Synthesized pigments were analyzed by XRD, FT-IR, Raman Spectroscop, UV and UV-vis. The result shows the differences in amount of crystal phases and oxidation state of Cr ion, which causes the color change. The melting point of $CrCl_3$ is lower than $Cr_2O_3$ which act as a mineralizer and makes the pigment synthesized in lower temperature at $1200^{\circ}C$. Holding 3 h firing at $900^{\circ}C$ where the synthesize forms shows better effect of Malayaite crystal phases and increasing engaged effect of $CrCl_3$ where the color pigmentation is more defined then in $Cr_2O_3$.

  • Cr-N films were deposited on low-carbon steel sheets by the reactive arc-induced ion plating (AIIP). The influence of the deposition conditions (nitrogen pressure and substrate bias voltage) on the crystal orientation, morphology and microhardness of the Cr-N films has been investigated using x-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscope. The impurities and contaminations on the surface and at the interface, and the layer-by-layer compositions of the film have been analyzed using scanning Auger multiprobe (SAM) and glow discharge spectroscope (GDS). The mixed state of Cr and Cr2N turned out to have a fine fibrous structure. The Cr2N films were deposited at a wide range of nitrogen flow rates. The orientations of Cr2N films were mainly (110) and (111), and the intensity of the (111) peak increased as the substrate bias voltage increased. The micorstructure of the Cr2N film was dense and no columnar structure was observed. The films in the mixed state of Cr2N and CrN were also dense without columnar structure. The maximum microhardness of the Cr-N films was 2400 kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$ at 10gf load.

치과보철용 Ni-Cr-Ti 소결체합금의 포셀린결합력 및 기계적 특성 (Porcelain Bonding Strength and Mechanical Properties of Sintered Ni-Cr-Ti Alloy for Dental Prosthodontics)

  • In this study, porcelain bonding strength and mechanical properties of sintered Ni-Cr-Ti alloy for dental prosthodontics have been researched experimentally. Mechanical and morphological characteristics of the alloys were examined by Vickers hardness test, tensile and bonding strength test, surface roughness test, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. In the sintered Ni-13Cr-xTi alloys, morphology of sintered alloy showed porous matrix diffused with alloying elements of Cr and Ti, and showed dendritic structure after melting process. From the XRD results, the second phases of NiCr, $Ni_3Cr$, and $Ni_3Ti$ were formed in the case of sintered and melted Ni-13Cr-xTi alloys. The tensile strength and hardness of Ni-13Cr-xTi alloys increased, as Ti content increased. Surface roughness increased, as Ti content increased. The bonding strength between metal and porcelain of Ni-13Cr-5Ti alloy was higher than those of Ni-13Cr and Ni-13Cr-10Ti alloys

고정밀급 박막저항을 위한 NiCr/NiCrSi박막의 제조 및 전기적 특성 (Electrical Characteristics and Fabrication of NiCr/NiCrSi Alloy Film for High Precision Thin Film Resistors)

  • In order to acquire fundamental informations to fabricate high precision thin film resistors, NiCr/NiCrSi alloy films were prepared using Ni and Cr targets. Effect of composition on the electrical properties of the NiCr/NiCrSi alloy film were then investigated. Considering the effect of Si doping on the electrical and material characteristics, the lower TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) values could be achieved for samples with Ni/Cr ratio of $0.8{\sim}1.5$ (in a range of relative higher specific resistivity and Cr composition of $40\;wt%{\sim}55\;wt%$) and with Si doping. Consequently, the sample prepared using a DC power showed a good TCR of $-25\;ppm/^{\circ}C$, which implies that increase of specific resistivity and decrease of TCR would be achieved more efficiently not for Ni-Cr binary material but for Si doped Ni-Cr ternary material, and not using RF power but using DC power in the sputtering process.

  • In the study of TAB(Tape Automated Bonding)technologies, Cu-Cr sputtered seed layer has been used to improve the adhesion between Polyimide and Cu film and electrical properties. But the Cu electrodeposit on Cu-Cr film had poor adhesion or powder-like form due to the surface Cr oxides on the Cu-Cr film. By means of activating the Cu-Cr film with the oxalic acid and phosphoric acid, the Cu film with the improved adhesion could be coated on the Cu-Cr sputtered film in CuSO4 solution. The etching rate was compared with increasing the Cr content of the sputtered Cu-Cr film, and anodic polarization curve in FeCl3 solution was investigated. With increasing the Cr content, the etching rate was reduced. The clean etching cross section could be obtained with increasing the concentration of FeCl3 solution. But above the 13 w/o Cr content, Cu-Cr sputtered film could not bed etched cleanly only with FeCl3 solution and additives were needed.

고온 코팅용 Cr-Al합금의 미세조직 및 특성에 미치는 Si 첨가의 영향 (Effects of Si Addition on the Microstructure and Properties of Cr-Al alloy for High Temperature Coating)

  • Cr-Al alloys are attracting attention as oxidation resistant coating materials for high temperature metallic materials due to their excellent high temperature stability. However, the mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of Cr-Al alloys can be further enhanced, and such attempts are made in this study. To improve the properties of Cr-Al alloys, Si is added up to 5 wt%. Casting specimens with different amounts of Si content are prepared by a vacuum arc remelting method and isothermally heated under steam conditions at $1,100^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The as-cast microstructure of low Si alloys is mainly composed of only a Cr phase, while $Al_8Cr_5$ and $Cr_3Si$ phases are also observed in the 5 % Si alloy. In the high Si alloy, only Cr and $Cr_3Si$ phases remain after the isothermal heating at $1,100^{\circ}C$. It is found that Si additions slightly decrease the oxidation resistance of the Cr-Al alloy. However, the microhardness of the Cr-Al alloy is observed to increase with an increasing Si content.

두개강내 고형성 종양의 H-1 자기공명분광법 (In Vivo H-1 MR Spectroscopy of Intracranial solid Tumors)

  • 목적: 두개강내 고형성 종야에서 병리조직학적 진단과 악성도에 따라 특징적 H-1자기공명분광(MRS) 양상이 나타나는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 고형성 뇌종양 환자 81명(저등급 교종 17예, 고등ㅇ급 교종 31예, 림프종 9예, 뇌수막종 8예, 신경세포종 4예, 수아세포종 3예, 원시성신경외배엽종 3예, 전이암 2예, 기타 4예)을 대상으로 생체내 MRS를 시행하여 스펙트럼을 분석하였다. MRS는 1.5T 장치를 사용하여 PRESS기법으로 TR/TE 2000/270msec, VOI $2{\times}2{\times}2cm^3$로 얻었다. 대사 산물의 공명(resonance) 분석은 N-acetyl aspartate(NAA)/Creatine complix(Cr)비, Choline complex(Cho)/Cr비, Lactate(Lac)/Cr비를 구하였으며, 기타 산물에 대하여는 기존의 문헌에 기초하여 존재 유무를 분석하였다. 결과: 모든 고형성 뇌종양에서 NAA는 감소하고, Cho과 lactate는 증가하였다. Cr은 증가하거나 감소하는 등 다양한 결과를 보였다. 모든 종야에서 NAA/Cr이 감소한 반면, Cho/Cr과 Lac/Cr은 증가하였다. 고등급 교종에서는 평균 Cho/Cr과 lactate/Cr이 각각 저등급 교종에 비해 모두 유의하게 높았다(Cho/Cr ; $2.4{\pm}0.7{\;}vs.{\;}1.7{\pm}0.8,{\;}P<0.05,{\;}lactate/Cr{\;};{\;}1.3{\pm}1.9{\;}vs.{\;}0.4{\pm}0.6$, P<0.05). 그러나 NAA/Cr은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 뇌수막종과 신경세포종, 수아세포종에서 Cho/Cr이 고등급 교종의 수준 이상으로 높았다. 결론: H-1 MRS는 고형성 뇌종에서 저등급과 고등급 교종의 감별에 유용하게 이용될 수 있으나, 교종이외의 고형성 양성종양에서도 고등급 교종과 같은 양상을 보이므로 한게가 있다고 생각된다.

크롬백주철의 기지조직 및 탄화물에 있어서 합금원소의 거동 (The Distribution Behavior of Alloying Elements in Matrices and Carbides of Chromium White Cast Iron)

  • 0.5%C-25.0%Cr-1.0%Si(합금1), 0.5%C-5.0%Cr-1.0%Si(합금2) 및 2.0%C-5.0%Cr-1.0%Si(합금3)의 3종류 크롬백주철에 있어서 기지조직 및 탄화물에 분푀도는 Cr 및 Si의 거동을 연구하였다. 15kg 용량의 고주파 유도용해로에 선철, 고철, Fe-Cr, Fe-Si 등을 장입시켜 용해시킨후 슬래그를 제거시키고 $1550^{\circ}C$에서 펩 주형에 주입시킨후 실온까지 냉각시켜 SEM으로 응고조직을 관찰하였으며 EPMA분석을 통하여 Cr 및 Si 의 분포거동을 관찰하였다. 합금1의 경우 초정으로 $\delta$페라이트가 정출후 $\delta$페라이트와 용액의 입계에서 $\delta$페라이트와 $M_7C_3$탄화물이 공정으로 정출하였으며 합금2의 경우 용액에서 초정으로 거의 $\delta$페라이트가 정출된 수 극히 일부분만이 $\delta$페라이트와 $M_7C_3$탄화물의 공정으로 정출하였다. 반면 합금 3의 경우 오스테나이트가 초정으로 정출된 후 오스테나이트와 $M_3C$탄화물이 공정으로 정출하였다. Cr은 주로 $M_7C_3$$M_3C$탄화물에 , 그리고 Si는 기지조직에 선택적으로 분배되었으며 Cr의 기지조직에 대한 분배계수는 0.56-0.68, 그리고 Si는 1.12-1.28의 범위에 걸쳐있었다. 또한 Cr의 기지조직에 대한 분배계수는 C 함량이 2.0%일때가 0.5%의 경우보다 낮았으며 $M_7C_3$탄화물내의 Cr 함량은 Cr함량이 25.0% 일때가 5.0%의 경우보다 높은값을 나타내었다. 나타내었다.
