The purpose of the research is to examine whether government regulation on Covid 19 pandemic has had a significant impact in economic sectors, particularly on consumer behavior. Thus there are three hypotheses, 1) viral marketing has an effect on online trust during the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, 2) viral marketing has an effect on impulse buying during the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, and 3) Viral marketing has an effect on impulse buying in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era through online trust. To test the hypotheses, questionnaires were distributed to 150 respondents, however, only 110 were selected due to incomplete data. There are 3 variables, namely viral marketing, online trust, and impulse buying, where online trust is also a mediating variable. Once the assumption test is completed, the researcher employs path analysis to test the hypotheses. The results are 1) there is an effect of viral marketing on online trust in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, 2) There is no effect of viral marketing on impulse buying in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, and 3) Viral marketing has an effect on impulse buying in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era through online trust. This means online trust succeed in mediating viral marketing-impulse buying relationship. The findings emphasized that the credibility of online trust enforce consumers in making buying decisions.

The objective of the study is to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Saudi Arabia stock market. The study relied on the data of the daily closing stock market price index Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), and the number of daily cases infected with COVID-19 during the period from March 15, 2020, to August 10, 2020. The study employs the Vector Auto-Regressive (VAR) model, the Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH) models. The results of the correlation matrix and the Impulse Response Function (IRF) show that stock market returns responded negatively to the growth in COVID-19 infected cases during the pandemic. The results of ARCH model confirmed the negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic on KSA stock market returns. The results also showed that the negative market reaction was strong during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study concluded that stock market in KSA responded quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic; the response varies over time according to the stage of the pandemic. However, the Saudi government's response time and size of the stimulus package have played an important role in alleviating the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Saudi Arabia Stock Market.

This study explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the stock prices of state-owned enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock exchange. The impact of the pandemic is analyzed based on different pandemic phases and the corresponding government pandemic interventions to curb the disease. This study analyzes 6 pandemic event dates, covering the time period from January 2020 to February 2021. A total of 20 state-owned enterprises are included as the sample of this study. Test of difference is employed to compare the stock prices of the state-owned enterprises before and after each pandemic event date. In general, this study confirms the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the stock prices, especially the event in 2020, although some variations do exist. The results of the study reveal a significant decrease in the stock prices of the state-owned enterprises after the announcement of the first confirmed COVID-19 cases, the announcement of COVID-19 as a global pandemic, the imposing of Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB I and PSBB II). In contrast, the stock prices increase after the imposing of a new normal policy and the imposing of Public Activity Restriction (PPKM). This study also documents that the effect of the pandemic may vary based on the pandemic phase.
The purpose of this study is to identify the major research trends of COVID-19 in recent times. In addition, we would like to use SCOPUS, an overseas academic database provided by Elsevier, to understand the research trends of COVID-19 in the last three years (2020-2022). As a result of frequency analysis, covid 7,248 cases, pandemic 4,974 cases, study 3,313 cases, research 2,137 cases, crisis 1,777 cases appeared in order of importance. As a result of the trend analysis, we found that studies on covid and pandemic are progressing steadily, but those on study, research, and crisis have decreased somewhat recently. As a result of LDA topic modeling analysis, the important topics were found to be 'covid19, pandemic'. This shows that research on COVID-19 is important not only in everyday life, but also in companies and organizations, and therefore in other academic fields besides medicine. When (the study of)COVID-19 becomes more important than ever, there seems to be an ongoing interest in the impact and ramifications of COVID-19 research.

Purpose: This study discusses how Indonesia's response to the Corona Virus Disease-19 pandemic based on the perspective of housing policy capacity which consists of resources, organizations, and networks, politics, systems, and finance. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a qualitative method through a literature review. Data collection techniques were carried out by searching various sources and literature related to housing capacity theory and various data on Indonesia's response to the Covid 19 pandemic. Based on a literature review, this study adapted and modified the five components of capacity, namely resource capacity, organizational and network capacity, political capacity, system capacity and financial capacity in Indonesia in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data analysis used analytical themes which consist of understanding the data, generating initial codes, looking for themes, reviewing themes, defining and naming themes, producing of manuscripts. Results: The results show that the weakness of the system capacity greatly affects Indonesia's housing policy capacity in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic and on the other hand the five housing capacities are an integrated process within the housing policy framework in Indonesia, especially to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusions: The findings of this study are the importance of building a system capacity that is directly integrated with housing policy and the strengthening of the resources capacity, organizations, and networks, politics, and finance in the context of Indonesia's housing policy, especially in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
Purpose: The covid-19 pandemic has led to the implementation of strict measure such as social distancing and lockdown around the globe and these measures has largely affected the retail industry. This study is to examine the negative impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the acceleration of startups innovation in the retail industry. Research design, data and methodology: The current authors used the qualitative content approach and the data collection process in this procedure starts with a formulated and direct research question which means that rather than asking how a change in one variable leads to a change in the other, the research question seeks to understand the meanings and experiences derived from the piece of communication. Results: This section outlines how retail companies can overcome the adversely effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the acceleration of startup innovation in the retail industry. The solutions are mostly from peer-reviewed articles. All retailers should respond to the negative impacts of the covid-19 pandemic to ensure their continuity while accelerating startups innovations in the sector. Conclusion: This study implies that the retailing industry, alongside other sectors, should respond to the negative effects of the covid-19 pandemic by encouraging innovations and adaptations. The study has shown that flexibility is very crucial to adapt during the crisis
Purpose: The sports industry is a major form of leisure and entertainment, but the industry was tremendously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This study gives solutions for sports leisure retail stores to the effects of the Covid-19 crisis on consumers' sports products purchasing habits and then gives a logical conclusion regarding the findings of the topic. Research design, data and methodology: Scant research is available to feedback for owners and managers of sports leisure retail stores which elements could be considered to recover their business prior to the pandemic. For achieving this, this study investigated total 284 responses in the retail stores and conducted the ANOVA analysis to compare the level of intensity on the impact Covid 19 pandemic. Results: Our findings suggests that there was a statistically recognizable difference at the significance level of probability between the mean value of the impact index of Covid 19 pandemic and key recovery strategies, indicating the high degree of Covid 19 impact can be reducing by four solutions. Conclusions: Finally, this study concludes the specific entertainment elements that influence the purchasing behavior of consumers will ensure that the Sports industry deals with its internal problems first without necessarily looking at the outside factors such as the pandemic.
Background: This study aimed to analyze Twitter users' emotional tendencies regarding oral surgery procedures before and after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic worldwide. Methods: Tweets posted in English before and after the COVID-19 pandemic were included in the study. Popular tweets in 2019 were searched using the keywords "tooth removal", "tooth extraction", "dental pain", "wisdom tooth", "wisdom teeth", "oral surgery", "oral surgeon", and "OMFS". In 2020, another search was conducted by adding the words "COVID" and "corona" to the abovementioned keywords. Emotions underlying the tweets were analyzed using CrystalFeel - Multidimensional Emotion Analysis. In this analysis, we focused on four emotions: fear, anger, sadness, and joy. Results: A total of 1240 tweets, which were posted before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, were analyzed. There was a statistically significant difference between the emotions' distribution before and after the pandemic (p < 0.001). While the sense of joy decreased after the pandemic, anger and fear increased. There was a statistically significant difference between the emotional valence distributions before and after the pandemic (p < 0.001). While a negative emotion intensity was noted in 52.9% of the messages before the pandemic, it was observed in 74.3% of the messages after the pandemic. A positive emotional intensity was observed in 29.8% of the messages before the pandemic, but was seen in 10.7% of the messages after the pandemic. Conclusion: Infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, may lead to mental, emotional, and behavioral changes in people. Unpredictability, uncertainty, disease severity, misinformation, and social isolation may further increase dental anxiety and fear among people.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the COVID-19 pandemic-driven effect changes of quality factors on customer satisfaction in Korean Police Civil Affairs Service. Methods: This study fitted a regression model to the data collected by Korean National Police Agency from 2019 (before COVID-19 pandemic) to 2020 (during COVID-19 pandemic). In order to simultaneously estimate the effects of major seven quality factors on customer satisfaction for 'before the pandemic' and for 'during the pandemic', the regression model included not only customer satisfaction as the dependent variable, but also the fourteen independent variables consisting of the seven quality factors and their seven interaction terms. The interaction terms were defined by multiplying each quality factor by a dummy variable indicating either before or during the pandemic. Therefore, the coefficient estimates of the interaction terms indicate the changes of their corresponding quality factor effects on customer satisfaction between before and during the pandemic. The double bootstrap method was applied to test the significance of coefficient estimates. Results: Both before and during the pandemic, all quality factors had positive effects on customer satisfaction. However, these effects changed differently from before to during the pandemic: (increased) supportability, sincerity, and convenience; (decreased) integrity, professionalism, and fairness; (unchanged) promptness. Conclusion: This study found that the pandemic caused significant effect changes of quality factors on customer satisfaction in Korean Police Civil Affairs Service. This finding suggests the necessity of carefully monitoring such effect changes to effectively and efficiently improve customer satisfaction. This study also identified that from before to during the pandemic, supportability, sincerity, and convenience become more important and hence, need to be better managed.

Purpose: This study investigated the differences between patients with acute carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning who visited the emergency department (ED) before and during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: This was a single-center retrospective observational study. Patients with CO poisoning who visited the ED during the period from February 2020 to January 2023 were classified as the COVID-19 pandemic group, and those from February 2019 to January 2020 were classified as the non-pandemic group. Patients' medical records were reviewed, their demographic and clinical characteristics were compared, and the length of stay in ED was checked. The time from admission to the ED to the start of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) was defined as the door-to-HBO time, and this parameter was compared between both groups. Results: In total, 672 patients were included in this study. The proportion of intentional poisoning was significantly higher in the COVID-19 pandemic group than in the non-pandemic group (p=0.028). The proportion of intentional poisoning significantly increased in the 20- to 29-year-old age group during the COVID-19 pandemic (p<0.001). In addition, it took longer to initiate HBO in the COVID-19 pandemic group than in the non-pandemic group (p=0.001). Conclusion: These findings suggest that pandemics of infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, increase the proportion of intentional CO poisoning, and it may take longer to initiate HBO after visiting the ED. Efforts will be needed to decrease intentional CO poisoning and length of stay in ED.
