  • In this paper, we research the IPTV that is the convergence technique of TV and network technique and performed the performance evaluation of picture quality of IPTV in the situation of increasing the network traffic in the Internet environment. To do this, we constructed the mock Internet network similar to the real Internet environment and measured the quality of received video using V-Factor model according to the increase of network traffic, and analyzed the result of the experiment. Making use of the result of this paper for the threshold value of V-Factor, the measured factor of network performance, the measured factor of video performance in the watchable IPTV video quality.

  • Computer Communications and networks have been revolutionized by technological advances in the last decade. There has been an increasing interest in the network security because of the growing popularity of Internet and the importance of networking in business area. With this growing interest, Network engineers come to more concern about improving network survivability. In this paper, we suggest the method that improves the survivability of wired and wireless network. To achieve this goal, we propose the integrated IP management with monitoring network nodes in the same network and controlling its activities.

  • This paper propose CAR-TO-CAR protocol which can prevent the cars at high-speed from a multiple clash accident at highway with exchanging information. we construct cluster be linked with distance took from GPS(Global Positioning System) because there is no connection at cars on the road. The proposed method solved the overload problem by establishing route because construct the cluster at the IEEE 802.11 MAC class. 'Multi-hop Routing protocol' based on Active Network enable stable Network to be formed by using Active Network.

  • Network event analysis gives useful information on the network status that helps protect attacks. It involves finding sets of frequently used packet information such as IP addresses and requires real-time processing by its nature. Apriori algorithm used for data mining can be applied to find frequent item sets, but is not suitable for analyzing network events on real-time due to the high usage of CPU and memory and thus low processing speed. This paper develops a network event audit module by applying association rules to network events using a new algorithm instead of Apriori algorithm. Test results show that the application of the new algorithm gives drastically low usage of both CPU and memory for network event analysis compared with existing Apriori algorithm.

  • A new resource management algorithm is proposed for 5G networks which have a coordinated network architecture. By sharing the contol information among multiple neighbor cells and managing in centralized structure, the propsed algorithm fully utilizes the benefits of network coordination to increase fairness and throughput at the same time. This optimization of network performance is achieved while operating within a tolerable amount of signaling overhead and computational complexity. Simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme improve the network capacity up to 40% for cell edge users and provide network-wise fairness as much as 23% in terms of the well-knwon Jain's Fainess Index.

  • Fruition for a diverse uIT(Ubiquitous Information Technology) service is currently required through the convergence of what is known as ubiquitous computing technology. In recent years, with the rapid growth of the need for information services, heavier demands have been made upon the supply of high-quality multimedia services that require a high bandwidth. Today, various home network solutions have been proposed to manage these service smoothly and a system able to deal with various types of network traffic without delays. In addition, in established home network environments that mix wired and wireless networks, along with the steady evolution of wireless network technology and the earnest development of ubiquitous computing technology, sensor-based wireless networks have emerged as a core solution for home networks. In this paper, a sensor network-based home control system supporting the next generation home gateway system for ubiquitous home environments is designed and implemented.

  • In this paper, using a new low-power consumption method for ZigBee device, which consume low-power using an output power control algorithm through RSSI monitoring as interlocking wireless network using ZigBee which has advantages of a low-power consumption, a low-cost, a compatibility and a draft international standardization enacted by IEEE and ZigBee Alliance, with wired network using built coaxial cable to overcome the disadvantage of the existing wireless sensor network, is proposed. Effectiveness of the output power control algorithm through RSSI monitoring has been verified by experimentation for more optimized low-power consumption.

  • The transfer capability of HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) network is superior to xDSL. HFC network, however, is not suitable for transferring high quality video due to cable model interfaces. For the services of high quality IPIV or VOD, the extra exclusive downstream transfer system is required without upgrading pre-equipped cable modem and service capability. This paper is aimed to develop the extra exclusive downstream transfer system not changing existing cable modem system but providing same quality of services. This system is composed of the extra exclusive downstream IP-cable sender and modem. This sender and modem have 30 Mbps transfer capability and HDTV stream can be served in the Cable TV network using 21 Mbps HDTV transport stream.

  • Multi-domain optical transport networks are not fundamentally interoperable and require an integrated orchestration mechanism and path provision mechanism at the entire network level. In addition, ensuring network survivability is one of the important issues. MPLS-TP (Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile) defines various protection/recovery methods as standards, but does not mention how to calculate and select protection/recovery paths. Therefore, an algorithm that minimizes protection/recovery collisions at the optical circuit packet integrated network level and calculates and sets a path that can be rapidly protected/recovered over the entire integrated network area is required. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm that calculates and sets up a path that can be rapidly protected and restored in a T-SDN network composed of multiple ring-mesh topology.

  • Although separation of touching pigs in real-time is an important issue for a 24-h pig monitoring system, it is challenging to separate accurately the touching pigs in a crowded pig room. In this study, we propose a separation method for touching pigs using the information generated from Convolutional Neural Network(CNN). Especially, we apply one of the CNN-based object detection methods(i.e., You Look Only Once, YOLO) to solve the touching objects separation problem in an active manner. First, we evaluate and select the bounding boxes generated from YOLO, and then separate touching pigs by analyzing the relations between the selected bounding boxes. Our experimental results show that the proposed method is more effective than widely-used methods for separating touching pigs, in terms of both accuracy and execution time.
