This study analyzed the changes in household consumption expenditure of retired households using Korean panel data. We compared the pre and post retirement-consumption levels in different consumption categories using panel data. Paired t-test showed that changes in the consumption patterns before and after retirement were not significant except for the households in the third net worth quartile. Analyzing the effect of retirement on the level of household consumption expenditure, this study found that the effect of retirement was not significant in overall, although retirement had a negative effect on the level of consumption expenditure among households in the lowest net worth distribution. This study aims to understand how consumers consume by presenting the concept of 'consumption style' and the meaning of consumption for modern consumers. As modern consumers cannot lead their daily lives without engaging in consumption, their daily lives are deeply related to consumption. However, we have not been largely interested in how we manage consumption. It is a fact that marketing-oriented studies are focused on consumers for the establishment of corporate activities and strategies until now. For the analysis of the research, SPSS for Windows and AMOS were used. In order to examine the general characteristics of the investigation object, the technical statistics of frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation were obtained. To develop the research item analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and cluster analysis were conducted. Based on the meaning of consumption through the consideration of preceding studies, the consumption style was extracted with 4 economic, socio-cultural, psychological and ethical perspectives. Also, 4groups were classified according to the type of consumption style: professional consumers, practical consumers, indifferent consumers and emotional consumers.
This study compares the characteristics and the determinants of household electricity consumption for low electricity consuming and high electricity consuming households. The data are drawn from a household energy consumption sample survey by Korea Energy Economics Institute in 2015. Next, the factors affecting the household's electricity consumption are investigated. Common factor affecting the electricity consumption function is only the number of electrical appliances. There are also the differences in major determinants of the household's electricity consumption functions for two households. The results of this study would be useful for understanding socio-demographic, dwelling, and electricity consumption characteristics of low electricity consuming and high electricity consuming households.
The purpose of this study is to understand the reduction of energy consumption and demand level for education relating to the reduction of energy consumption by middle school students. First, the perception of the reduction of energy consumption had a significant relationship with sex and grade. Second, the demand level for education relating to the reduction of energy consumption showed a significant relationship with only sex. Third, regression analysis on the influence of perception of the reduction of energy consumption showed a correlation between theperception of a reduction of energy consumption and the demand level for education relating to a reduction of energy consumption. The research suggests that students want an education that reduces energy consumption at school implemented during experience-centered and activity-centered discretionary activities, rather than duringtheory-centered curricular activities. It also suggests that overcoming limitations of space, that is, implementation of such education at various places besides school, and the application of teaching and teaming methods which use the internet and image media are more effective for education for the reduction of energy consumption.
