Many studies have been conducted on software fault prediction models for decades, and the models using machine learning techniques showed the best performance. Deep learning techniques have become the most popular in the field of machine learning, but few studies have used them as classifiers for fault prediction models. Some studies have used deep learning to obtain semantic information from the model input source code or syntactic data. In this paper, we produced several models by changing the model structure and hyperparameters using MLP with three or more hidden layers. As a result of the model evaluation experiment, the MLP-based deep learning models showed similar performance to the existing models in terms of Accuracy, but significantly better in AUC. It also outperformed another deep learning model, the CNN model.

In the construction and development of modern industrial production technology, the traditional technology management mode is faced with many problems such as low qualification rates and high application costs. In the research, an improved workpiece defect detection method based on deep learning is proposed, which can control the application cost and improve the detection efficiency of irregular defects. Based on the research of the current situation of deep learning applications, this paper uses the improved Faster R-CNN network structure model as the core detection algorithm to automatically locate and classify the defect areas of the workpiece. Firstly, the robustness of the model was improved by appropriately changing the depth and the number of channels of the backbone network, and the hyperparameters of the improved model were adjusted. Then the deformable convolution is added to improve the detection ability of irregular defects. The final experimental results show that this method's average detection accuracy (mAP) is 4.5% higher than that of other methods. The model with anchor size and aspect ratio (65,129,257,519) and (0.2,0.5,1,1) has the highest defect recognition rate, and the detection accuracy reaches 93.88%.

Fiber-reinforced composites have anisotropic material properties, so the mechanical properties of composite structures can vary depending on the stacking sequence. Therefore, it is essential to design the proper stacking sequence of composite structures according to the functional requirements. However, depending on the manufacturing condition or the shape of the structure, there are many cases where the designed stacking angle is out of range, which can affect structural performance. Accordingly, it is important to analyze the stacking angle in order to confirm that the composite structure is correctly fabricated as designed. In this study, the stacking angle was predicted from real cross-sectional images of fiber-reinforced composites using convolutional neural network (CNN)-based deep learning. Carbon fiber-reinforced composite specimens with several stacking angles were fabricated and their cross-sections were photographed on a micro-scale using an optical microscope. The training was performed for a CNN-based deep learning model using the cross-sectional image data of the composite specimens. As a result, the stacking angle can be predicted from the actual cross-sectional image of the fiber-reinforced composite with high accuracy.
Presently, the extraction of hand-crafted features is still the dominant method in radar emitter recognition. To solve the complicated problems of selection and updation of empirical features, we present a novel automatic feature extraction structure based on deep learning. In particular, a convolutional neural network (CNN) is adopted to extract high-level abstract representations from the time-frequency images of emitter signals. Thus, the redundant process of designing discriminative features can be avoided. Furthermore, to address the performance degradation of a single platform, we propose the construction of an ensemble learning-based architecture for multi-platform fusion recognition. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithms are feasible and effective, and they outperform other typical feature extraction and fusion recognition methods in terms of accuracy. Moreover, the proposed structure could be extended to other prevalent ensemble learning alternatives.
It is effectively removed noise in the image using FCNN(Fuzzy Cellular Neural Network) applying fuzzy theory to CNN(Cellular Neural Network) structure and HD(Hausdorff Distance) commonly used measures for object matching. HD calculates the distance between two point set of pixels in two-dimensional binary images without establishing correspondence. Also, this method is proposed in order to improve the operation speed. In this paper, $\alpha$-LTSHD(Least Trimmed Square HD) operator applying $\alpha$-Trimmed to LTSHD, one field of HD, is applied to FCNN structure, and it is proposed as the modified method in order to remove noise in the image. Also, it is made a comparison with the other filters by using MSE and SNR after removing noise using the FCNNS which are applied $\alpha$-LTSHD operator through the computer simulation. In a result, FCNN performance which is applied the proposed $\alpha$-LTSHD demonstrated the superiority to the other filters in the noise removal.

The natural language on social network platforms has a certain front-to-back dependency in structure, and the direct conversion of Chinese text into a vector makes the dimensionality very high, thereby resulting in the low accuracy of existing text classification methods. To this end, this study establishes a deep learning model that combines a big data ultra-deep convolutional neural network (UDCNN) and long short-term memory network (LSTM). The deep structure of UDCNN is used to extract the features of text vector classification. The LSTM stores historical information to extract the context dependency of long texts, and word embedding is introduced to convert the text into low-dimensional vectors. Experiments are conducted on the social network platforms Sogou corpus and the University HowNet Chinese corpus. The research results show that compared with CNN + rand, LSTM, and other models, the neural network deep learning hybrid model can effectively improve the accuracy of text classification.

Recently, green energy support policies have been announced around the world in accordance with environmental regulations, and asthe market grows rapidly, demand for batteries is also increasing. Therefore, various methodologies for battery diagnosis and recycling methods are being discussed, but current accurate life prediction of batteries has limitations due to the nonlinear form according to the internal structure or chemical change of the battery. In this paper, CS2 lithium-ion battery measurement data measured at the A. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Marylan was used to predict battery performance with high accuracy using a convolutional neural network (CNN) model among deep learning-based models. As a result, the battery performance was predicted with high accuracy. A data structure with a matrix of total data 3,931 ☓ 19 was designed as test data for the CS2 battery and checking the result values, the MAE was 0.8451, the RMSE was 1.3448, and the accuracy was 0.984, confirming excellent performance.
Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) is an important task of civil engineering structure monitoring and inspection, but minor damage such as small cracks in local structure is difficult to observe. If cracks continued expansion may cause partial or even overall damage to the structure. Therefore, monitoring and detecting the structure in the early stage of crack propagation is important. The crack detection technology based on machine vision has been widely studied, but there are still some problems such as bad recognition effect for small cracks. In this paper, we proposed a deep learning method based on sweep signals to evaluate concrete surface crack with a width less than 1 mm. Two convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are used to analyze the one-dimensional (1D) frequency sweep signal and the two-dimensional (2D) time-frequency image, respectively, and the probability value of average damage (ADPV) is proposed to evaluate the minor damage of structural. Finally, we use the standard deviation of energy ratio change (ERVSD) and infrared thermography (IRT) to compare with ADPV to verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper. The experiment results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively predict whether the concrete surface is damaged and the severity of damage.
As wildfires are difficult to predict, real-time monitoring is crucial for a timely response. Geostationary satellite images are very useful for active fire detection because they can monitor a vast area with high temporal resolution (e.g., 2 min). Existing satellite-based active fire detection algorithms detect thermal outliers using threshold values based on the statistical analysis of brightness temperature. However, the difficulty in establishing suitable thresholds for such threshold-based methods hinders their ability to detect fires with low intensity and achieve generalized performance. In light of these challenges, machine learning has emerged as a potential-solution. Until now, relatively simple techniques such as random forest, Vanilla convolutional neural network (CNN), and U-net have been applied for active fire detection. Therefore, this study proposed an active fire detection algorithm using state-of-the-art (SOTA) deep learning techniques using data from the Advanced Himawari Imager and evaluated it over East Asia and Australia. The SOTA model was developed by applying EfficientNet and lion optimizer, and the results were compared with the model using the Vanilla CNN structure. EfficientNet outperformed CNN with F1-scores of 0.88 and 0.83 in East Asia and Australia, respectively. The performance was better after using weighted loss, equal sampling, and image augmentation techniques to fix data imbalance issues compared to before the techniques were used, resulting in F1-scores of 0.92 in East Asia and 0.84 in Australia. It is anticipated that timely responses facilitated by the SOTA deep learning-based approach for active fire detection will effectively mitigate the damage caused by wildfires.

Recently, a convolutional neural network (CNN) based system is being developed to overcome the limitations of human resources in the apple quality classification of farmhouse. However, since convolutional neural networks receive only images of the same size, preprocessing such as sampling may be required, and in the case of oversampling, information loss of the original image such as image quality degradation and blurring occurs. In this paper, in order to minimize the above problem, to generate a image patch based graph of an original image and propose a random walk-based positional encoding method to apply the graph transformer model. The above method continuously learns the position embedding information of patches which don't have a positional information based on the random walk algorithm, and finds the optimal graph structure by aggregating useful node information through the self-attention technique of graph transformer model. Therefore, it is robust and shows good performance even in a new graph structure of random node order and an arbitrary graph structure according to the location of an object in an image. As a result, when experimented with 5 apple quality datasets, the learning accuracy was higher than other GNN models by a minimum of 1.3% to a maximum of 4.7%, and the number of parameters was 3.59M, which was about 15% less than the 23.52M of the ResNet18 model. Therefore, it shows fast reasoning speed according to the reduction of the amount of computation and proves the effect.
