Study on selective PR removal at Color filter process (Color Filter Process에서 선택적 Photoresist 제거방안에 대한 연구)

  • CMOS Image Sensor(CIS) 소자에서 광감도의 향상과 천연색 형성을 위하여 적용하고 있는 Color-Filter 공정에서 국부적으로 발생하는 strip성 불량과 막질손상을 제거하기 위한 연구를 진행하였다. 우선 지역적 경향성을 보이는 불량에 대해서는 PR strip process type을 액조 진행방식에서 회전식으로 변경했을 때 제거됨을 확인하였고, 막질손상을 최소화하기 위해서는 새로운 유기용매의 적용이 필요하였다. 실험 결과, 케톤기를 가지는 화합물과 Polar Apotic 용매의 혼합화합물을 적용하였을 때 각 막질에 attack을 최소화하면서 원하는 PR만 선택적으로 제거 되며 미세잔류성분에 대한 제거력도 향상됨을 확인하였다.

Design of Real-Time Dead Pixel Detection and Compensation System for Image Quality Enhancement in Mobile Camera (모바일 카메라 화질 개선을 위한 실시간 불량 화소 검출 및 보정 시스템의 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose the Real-time Dead-Pixel Detection and Compensation System for mobile camera and its hardware architecture. The CMOS image sensors as image input devices are becoming popular due to the demand for miniaturized, low-power and cost-effective imaging systems. However a conventional Dead-Pixel Detection Algorithm is disable to detect neighboring dead pixels and it degrades image quality by wrong detection and compensation. To detect dead pixels the proposed system is classifying dead pixels into Hot pixel and Cold pixel. Also, the proposed algorithm is processing line-detector and $5{\times}5$ window-detector consecutively. The line-detector and window-detector can search dead pixels by using one-dimensional(only horizontal) method in low frequency area and two-dimensional(vertical and diagonal) method in high frequency area, respectively. The experimental result shows that it can detect 99% of dead pixels. It was designed in Verilog hardware description language and total gate count is 23K using TSMC 0.25um ASIC library.

  • 모바일 영상 기기들에 사용되는 저전력, 고화질의 이미지 센서는 Rolling Shutter 방식을 사용하는 CIS(CMOS Image Sensor)이다. 구조적 특성에 의해 Rolling Shutter 방식을 사용하는 CIS는 촬영 환경에 의해 결과물에 왜곡을 일으키게 된다. 본 논문은 Rolling Shutter에 의한 왜곡을 분석하고 촬영된 영상의 Rolling Shutter 왜곡 모션벡터를 예측하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 제안 알고리즘의 정확성을 높이기 위해 Sub-block과 Kalman-filter를 적용하여 Sub-pixel 단위로 계산하여 기존의 Lucas-Kanade 알고리즘 보다 효율적인 모션벡터 예측 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 보다 정확한 성능 변화를 추적하기 위하여 MSE 방식을 사용하여 비교 분석 하였다.

  • In this paper, we have researched semiconductor optical filters to solve the problem of the high failure rate that are recognize bad of financial account, jam of financial account and the ATM service interruption due to failure of accurate location information among the operation of the ATM (automatic teller machine) systems. A semiconductor optical filters that have high resolution and less diffuse, high transmittance are able to detect the information of financial account surface accurately. Therefore, it is a stable filter that is able to minimize the incidence of disability. In this paper, we drew the determinants by element for implement an excellent semiconductor optical filters. Based on this, we had to be able to implement the semiconductor optical filter that is able to be mounted on the actual ATM system through future studies.

OFD(Over Flow Drain) pixel architecture design of the CIS which has wide dynamic range with a CMOS process (넓은 동적 범위를 가지는 CMOS Image Sensors OFD(Over Flow Drain) 픽셀 설계)

  • We propose a new image pixel architecture which has OFD(Over Flow Device) node by improving conventional 3TR pixel structure. Newly designed pixel consists of photo diode which is verified with HSPICE simulation, PMOS reset transistor, several NMOS and several PMOS transistors. Photodiode signals from each PMOS and NMOS are detected by Reset PMOS. These output signals give enough chances to detect wide operation coverage because OFD node has overflow photocurrent. According to various light intensity, we analyzed characteristic of the output voltage with a SPICE tool. Proposed pixel output has specific value which can detect possible from $0.1{\mu}W/cm^2$ to $10W/cm^2$ light intensity. It has wide-dynamic range of 160 dB.
