In this paper we fabricated a test panel for AMOLED on glass and PET substrate. The test panel consisted of the various size of OTFTs and OLEDs and the current driving capability of OTFTs for OLEDs has been investigated. OTFTs were made of the inverted staggered structure and employed polyvinylphenol (PVP) as the gate insulator and pentacene thin film as the active layer. The OTFTs produced the filed effect mobility of $0.3 cm^2/V.sec$ and on/off current ratio of $10^5$. OLEDs consisted of TPD for HTL and Alq3 for EML with 35nm thick, generating green monochrome light. We found that OTFT with channel length of 70${\mu}m$ and channel width of over 3.5mm provided the sufficient current to OLED to generate the luminescence of $0.3Cd/m^2$.

If the replantation on the original position is not possible, the amputated tissue of a hand may be used as a donor for recovering hand functions at other positions. This procedure is termed 'heterodigital replantation'. An 63-year-old male patient who was in press machine accident came to Our Hospital. He had large dorsal soft-tissue defects ($5{\times}3cm$) on his left long finger and complete amputation on his left index finger through the proximal interpharyngeal joint. Replantation was not indicated because crushing injury of index finger was severe. So we decided to use index finger soft tissue as heterodigital free flap for the coverage of the long finger defect. The ulnar digital artery and dorsal subcutaneous vein of the free flap were anastomosed with the radial digital artery and dorsal subcutaneous vein of the long finger. The heterodigital free flap provided satisfactory apperance and functional capability of the long finger. The best way to treat amputation is replantation. But sometimes surgeon confront severely crushed or multi-segmental injured amputee which is not possible to replant. In this situation, reconstructive surgeons should consider heterodigital free flap from amputee as an option.
A large number of the set-nets are set in Namhaedo coast of Korea. The floats of these set-nets are not only small even in case of large floats but also they scarcely have distinguishable marks such as light buoys or flags, so that they are very hard to be recognized by naked eyes and thus became probable obstacles to navigation for the passing ships and the fishing vessels. In order to research the capability of detecting such nets with Radar, the author investigated a maximum detectable range of the ordinarly large floatsand of a floating corner reflectors of various size and shape by Radar. The results obtained are as follows; 1. A maximum detectable range of large floats at a close range can be calculated by the Radar equation in sufficient accuracy. 2. Large floats of the large set-nets are also detectable by Radar even though it's detectable range boundary was within 0.2-0.65 miles. And the Radar picture of large floats was easier to be found with somewhat higher setting of the gain control on shorter range scale of the 1 mile. 3. Floating corner reflector rather suitable for set-net floats of "S" type reflector proposed in this paper, of which the dimension must be above 17cm in diameter to be detectable by Radar at 2 miles.t 2 miles.

A novel approach to fabricating high-performance glucose sensors is reported, which is based on the process of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs). In this study, we have particularly used ${\alpha}$-lipoic acid (LA) SAMs for the glucose sensors. To our best knowledge, this study is the first one to use LA as SAMs for this purpose. N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) and 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC) were deliberately attached at the same time on the LA SAM. Then, glucose oxidase ($GO_X$) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) were sequentially immobilized. Thus, the HRP/$GO_X$/NHS-EDC/LA-SAM/Au/Cr/glass working electrode was developed. The glucose-sensing capability of the fabricated sensor was systematically measured by the use of cyclic voltammetry in the range of 1-30 mM glucose in phosphate-buffered saline. The result showed a good sensitivity, that is, as high as $27.5{\mu}A/(mM{\cdot}cm^2)$. This result conspicuously demonstrates that LA can be one of promising substances for use as SAMs for accurately monitoring trace levels of glucose concentration in human blood.
The quality control of ocean observations data is becoming a major issue as real-time observational data and information services have increased recently. Therefore, it is necessary for oceanographic instruments to calibrate. In this paper, we first introduce the CTD calibration system and traceability. Next, CTD calibration procedures and estimation of uncertainty of measurement are described. The expanded uncertainty (k = 2) of the temperature, pressure and conductivity are 0.$0.003^{\circ}C$, $6.0{\times}10^{-5}$ and 0.006 mS/cm respectively. Finally, the excellence of CTD calibration and its measurement capability has been proven by comparing the inter-calibration result of KIOST and Sea-Bird Electronics (SBE). CTD calibration residuals are less than ${\pm}0.0001^{\circ}C$, ${\pm}0.001$ MPa, ${\pm}0.0001$ S/m for SBE 3plus temperature sensor, SBE 19plus pressure sensor and SBE 4C conductivity sensor respectively.
We investigated the influences of Ag nanoparticle (NP) arrays and surface nanohole (NH) patterns on the optical characteristics of 10-${\mu}m$-thick c-Si wafers using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations. In particular, we comparatively studied the plasmonic effects of both monomer arrays (MA) and heptamer arrays (HA) consisting of identical Ag NPs. HA improved the optical absorption of the c-Si wafers in much wider wavelength range than MA, with the help of hybridized plasmon modes. The light trapping capability of the NH array pattern is superior to that of the Ag plasmonic NPs. We also found that the addition of the Ag HA on the wafers with surface NH patterns further enhanced optical absorption: the expected short-circuit current density was as high as $34.96mA/cm^2$.
Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic materials have been of great interest due to their possible applications for large-area flat-panel displays, where they are attractive because of their capability of multicolor emission, and low operation voltage. In this study, glass substrate/ITO/Eu(TTA)$_3$(Phen)/Al(A), glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Eu(TTA)$_3$(p-hen)/Al(B) and glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Eu(TTA)$_3$(phen)/AlQ$_3$/Al(C) structures were fabricated by vacuum evaporation method. where aromatic diamine(TPD) was used as a hole transporting material, Eu(TTA)$_3$(phen) as an emitting material. and tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)Aluminum(AlQ$_3$) as an electron transporting layer. Electroluminescent(EL) and I-V characteristics of Eu(TTA)$_3$(Phen) with a various thickness were investigated. This structure shows the red EL spectrum, which is almost the same as the PL spectrum of Eu(TTA)$_3$(phen). I-V characteristics of this structure show that turn-on voltage was 9V and current density was 0.01A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at a dc operation voltage of 9V. Electrical transporting phenomena of these structures was explained using the trapped- charge-limited current model with I-V characteristics.
