This case report describes the treatment of an adult female patient with a history of periodontal disease, Class I malocclusion with extrusion, dental spaces, and pathologic tooth migration. The patient was treated with clear aligners, which effectively controlled the strength and direction of orthodontic forces after 3 months of systematic periodontal treatment. The Peer Assessment Rating (PAR) index was calculated from study models before and after treatment. The pretreatment PAR score was 24, and the posttreatment PAR score was 4. The PAR score for this patient changed by 83%. Satisfactory appearance and good function were achieved for this patient.

Several tests of the Double Cantilever Beam(DCB) were carried out for influence of the fiber orientation on the Mode I of the interlaminar fracture behavior in the Carbon/Epoxy composites. The interlaminar fracture toughness of Mode I was estimated based on the energy release rate of Mode I, $G_{I}$. The fracture toughness at crack initiation, $G_{IC}$, increases from type A to type E. The fracture toughness, $G_{IR}$ , is almost constant macroscopically for type A and type E when crack propagates. $G_{IR}$ for types B, C, D increases rapidly at the beginning of the crack growth then it decreases gradually. The fracture surface observation by SEM was also obtained the same results. Consequently the influence of the fiber orientation on the Mode I Interlaminar fracture behavior was made clear.ear.

In this paper, I attempt to define the semantics of cikum 'now' in Korean. To define it precisely, we need to look at how it interacts with different aspectual classes of verbs and with the semantics of tenses and aspects. In doing this we need to define the semantics of tenses and aspects. Here we run into the question of whether ess is a tense marker or an aspect marker. I assume that it is ambiguous. There are still cases where it is not clear whether ess is used as a tense marker or an aspect marker in an actual sentence. I discuss two such cases: one in which it is used with verbs like tochakha 'arrive' which have no salient resulting states, and one in which a state verb is used with cikum-kkaci 'until now'. The semantics of cikum can be defined differently depending on whether ess is a tense or an aspect. By discussing ko iss, which is an imperfect marker, I conclude that cikum means ${\lambda}P{\lambda}i[u{\subseteq}i{\wedge}P(i)]$, that is, a relation between a set of times which include an utterance time and a set of properties of times.

In developing information systems, conceptual modeling is among the most fundamental means. The importance attributed to conceptual modeling has not only given rise to a lot of modeling methods, but also to the "yet another modeling approach (YAMA)" syndrome and the "not another modeling approach (NAMA)" hysteria. Criticism of conceptual modeling methods usually targets their lacking of theoretical foundations. In response to such criticism, various approaches towards theoretical foundations of conceptual modeling have been proposed so far. One of the recent responses to the quest for theoretical foundations of conceptual modeling is the reference to the philosophical ontology. The currently most prominent of diverse approaches towards ontological foundations of conceptual modeling appears to be the Bunge-Wand-Weber (BWW) ontology. Recent approaches attempt to regard BWW ontology as another conceptual data model as well as a criterion for evaluating various conceptual models. However, unfortunately, relatively few researches have been made on interoperability between the Entity-Relationship (ER) model, which is the most dominant conceptual data model, and ontology based model. In this paper, we investigate the interoperability between ontology and the ER model. In detail we (i) reclassify components of ER model with respect to ontology concepts, (ii) identify some components that cannot be directly represented in ontology notation, and (iii) present alternative representations to the components to acquire ontologically clear ER diagrams. Additionally, we (iv) present a set of mapping rules for converting the ontologically clear ER diagram into the corresponding ontology. In a case study, we show the process of converting an ER diagram for a concise Project Management System (PMS) into the ontologically clear ER diagram and the corresponding ontology. We also describe an experiment that we undertook to test whether users understand the Ontologically-Clear ER diagram better.

Ultrastructures of the cutaneous xanthophores and formation of pigment granules in the goldfish, Carassius auratus L., are studied with electron microscope. The cutaneous xanthophores are observed only in dermis and pigment granules of these pigment cells are pterinosomes and carotenoid vesicles. By the differentiated level, pterinosomes are subdivided into 3 types; while type I pterinosomes have clear limiting membranes and contain some amorphous fine fibrous structures, type II pterinosomes have thick and densely aggregated fibrous materials. Type III pterinosomes have concentric lamellar structures in the granules. Pigment granules of the xanthophores are originated from the Golgi complexes and pinocytotic vesicles of plasma membrane as well as rER-rich cells among the chromatophores are presumed to be associated with the accumulation of pigment materials.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the roles and human resources of service design. Background: The definition of service design is not clear yet, also did not define in this study. I studied the components of service design which are roles and human resources. That is helpful to understand the definition of service design and to clarify the works in service design. Method: I compare the service design with user experience design. I empirically define the roles and human resources of service design. Results: The roles of service design are service strategy, research, service concept design, service specification, service architecture design, integrated communication design, integrated system design, integrated operation design, service evaluation, launch, operation, and knowledge management. Conclusion: We defined who works and what works in service design. Application: The results of this study help the clarification of service design.

The distinction of argument and adjunct has been an important notion in linguistic theories, especially at the interface of syntax and semantics, and this distinction has been believed to be binary and categorical. However, there are some gray-area cases such as instruments and participant locations, for which the distinction does not appear to be so clear. In this paper, I will explore whether the argument/adjunct distinction is categorical by examining the controversial cases, particularly the instrumental PPs. I will review the syntactic, semantic, and psychological criteria and evidence that have been proposed in literature and see if instruments can be categorized as either arguments or adjuncts by those criteria. By showing that different criteria yield contradictory results, I conclude that roles like instruments have characteristics of both arguments and adjuncts, which seems to suggest that the argument/adjunct distinction is not categorical.

Cytochrome $b_{5}$($b_{5}$) can be found in a variety of tissues and plays a role in the electron transfer pathways. Several retropseudogenes (numbered as I, II, II, IV, V) have been identified and well investigated for their structures. However, retropseudogene I is not clear in terms of its location on the chromosome. In addition the structure and the exression of retropseudogene V have not been confirmed. To examine the structure of bs retropseudogenes V and to see whether it is expressed in human blood we applied recombinant DNA technologies including polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing. Retropseudogene V turned out to contain open reading frame (ORF) within its structure, however, no evidence of its expression was detected. Retropseudogene I was also found on the chromosome V. This study should contribute to the understanding of the structure of bs gene family.

From UBVRI photometry and space motion data of 232 late type dwarf stars, it is found that for the stars of (R-I)<0.5, $\Delta$(U-B) and $\Delta$(B-V) color excesses are correlated with their orbital eccentricities. Therefore, $\Delta$(U-B) and $\Delta$(B-V) color excesses can be used as possible photometric abundance indicators for the stars of (R-I)<0.5. For the stars of (R-I)${\geq}$0.5, the correlation between color excess and orbital eccentricity is not clear. However, it is interesting to note that the high orbital eccentricity stars show some blue deficiencies and these blue deficiencies seem to be correlated with orbital eccentricity.

The purpose of this thesis is to make clear the symbolism expressed by the gorgeous costume elements in the portraits of Elizabeth 1. After English paintings in 16th century and the Portraits of Elizabeth I being investigated in view of its characteristics, the symbolism in the costume of the portraits was studied in analysis. The flowers, the pearls and the sieve denoting a pure virgin predominantly appeared, snake for discretion and wisdom, phoenix for eternal youth and renewal, pelican for motherhood, and eyes and ears for almightiness and sound judgement as an utmost power was found. The color was mainly of black or white and sometimes of these two mixtures. The white means a purity and black, eternity and the mixture of them signifies a virtue of purity. This thesis may help people understand the gorgeous costume of Elizabeth 1. not as an external extravagance, but as an internal emblem or signs delivering its specific significance.
