The computer generated hologram (CGH) designs and produces digital information for generating 3-D (3-Dimension) image using computer and software instead of optically-sensed hologram of light interference, and it can synthesis a virtual object which is physically not in existence. Since digital hologram includes an amount of data as can be seen at the process of digitization, it is necessary that the data representing digital hologram is reduced for storing, transmission, and processing. As the efforts that are to handle hologram with a type of digital information have been increased, various methods to compress digital hologram called by fringe pattern are groped. Suitable proposal is encoding of hologram. In this paper, we analyzed the properties of CGH using tools of frequency transform, assuming that a generated CGH is a 2D image by introducing DWT that is known as the better tool than DCT for frequency transform. The compression and reconstruction result which was extracted from the wavelet-based codecs illustrates that it has better properties for reconstruction at the maximum 2 times higher compression rate than the Previous researches of Yoshikawa[2] and Thomas[3].

In this paper, we propose a high-level optical encryption system, which is tolerant with noises and cropping, by encrypting the phase-encoded CGH pattern of original image with the phase-encoded Fresnel diffraction pattern of random key images. For encryption, the phase-encoded CGH pattern of original image is multiplied by conjugate components which are the phase-encoded Fresnel diffraction patterns of random key images. The original information can be reconstructed by multiplying encrypted image by phase-encoded Fresnel diffraction pattern of random key images and performing Fourier transform of the multiplication result. The proposed system is robust to noises and cropping due to characteristics of CGH pattern and can guarantee high-level encryption by using Fresnel diffraction information. We verified the validity of proposed system by computer simulations, numerical analysis of noises and cropping effect and optical experiment.
Finger-print recognition is achieved by comparing an input finger-print image with the stored images in the computer, and finally by determining agreement or disagreement. Encryption and decryption are necessary in the finger-print recognition process. In these process CGH (Computer Generated Hologram) is used, and finger-print images reconstructed from the CGHs are compared. In this paper, two methods of recognition are used, one is to compare the finger-print images of each other reconstructed from their CGHs and the other is to compare the CGHs to each other directly, to analyze the differences of finger-print recognition capability between these two methods. Experimental results show that the capability of finger-print recognition for comparing the CGHs of the two is about 150 times higher than in case of comparing the reconstructed finger-print images. Especially the changes of characteristics according to modulation types of CGH are analyzed.

In this paper, we propose Multi-view CGH Making System using method of generation of virtual view-point depth image. We acquire reliable depth image using TOF depth camera. We extract parameters of reference-view cameras. Once the position of camera of virtual view-point is defined, select optimal reference-view cameras considering position of it and distance between it and virtual view-point camera. Setting a reference-view camera whose position is reverse of primary reference-view camera as sub reference-view, we generate depth image of virtual view-point. And we compensate occlusion boundaries of virtual view-point depth image using depth image of sub reference-view. In this step, remaining hole boundaries are compensated with minimum values of neighborhood. And then, we generate final depth image of virtual view-point. Finally, using result of depth image from these steps, we generate CGH. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs much better than conventional algorithms.

Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) is an important molecular cytogenetics technique that maps abnormal copy number of specific DNA sequence of the chromosome. CGH is based on quantitative digital image analysis of ratio images from fluorescently labeled chromosomes. In this paper, we would like to introduce how recently developed image analysis algorithms are used for CGH techniques. To average the ratio profile of each chromosome, binarization, skeletonization, and stretching of chromosome images have been studied. Developed algorithms have been implemented in the karyotyping system ChIPS commercially developed at Biomedlab Co. Ltd.
Purpose: Cervicogenic headache (CGH) is pain referred to the head/ face from the structures in vicinity of upper cervical spinal nerves via trigeminocervical pathway. Ponticulus Posticus (PP) and Elongated Styloid Process (ESP) are anatomical structures that cause compression of vasculature present around upper cervical nerve plexus. Recently, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has shown to play an essential role in identification of these high-pressure zones in the brain. The aim of this research is to study the association of ESP and PP in patients with CGH and to develop a hypothesis by CFD to analyse vertebrobasilar insufficiency as a contributing factor in occurrence of CGH. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 4500 full skull CBCT scans was done for the presence of partial or complete PP and length of Styloid Process (SP). Research was divided into two phases; In first Preliminary Phase, 150 scans that showed the presence of PP and ESP were analysed, and only 134 patients gave consent to fill the questionnaire containing 96 question items pertaining to symptoms associated with CGH. In the second phase, simulation of Vertebral and Carotid Artery was done using Fluent 14.5 Software and by CFD, pressure distribution on arteries was obtained that helped to identify high pressure regions. Results: Both PP and ESP showed a statistically significant association with CGH (p<0.001). By CFD analysis, both steady and transient phases of simulation showed drop in pressure due to constriction of internal carotid and vertebral artery by ESP and PP respectively and were found to decrease the volume of blood reaching the brain, 0.12 /0.13 mL and 0.06 mL respectively. Conclusions: Our analysis proves ESP and PP as contributing factors towards CGH. Hence for proper diagnosis and management of headache disorders, clinicians should have adequate knowledge about these anatomical structures and their resulting clinical symptoms.

Objective : Cervicogenic headache (CGH) is known to be mainly related with upper cervical problems. In this study, the effect of radiofrequency neurotomy (RFN) for lower cervical (C4-7) medial branches on CGH was evaluated. Methods : Eleven patients with neck pain and headache, who were treated with lower cervical RFN due to supposed lower cervical zygapophysial joint pain without symptomatic intervertebral disc problem or stenosis, were enrolled in this study. CGH was diagnosed according to the diagnostic criteria of the cervicogenic headache international study group. Visual analogue scale (VAS) score and degree of VAS improvement (VASi) (%) were checked for evaluation of the effect of lower cervical RFN on CGH. Results : The VAS score at 6 months after RFN was $2.7{\pm}1.3$, which were significantly decreased comparing to the VAS score before RFN, $8.1{\pm}1.1$ ($p$<0.001). The VASi at 6 months after RFN was $63.8{\pm}17.1%$. There was no serious complication. Conclusion : Our data suggest that lower cervical disorders can play a role in the genesis of headache in addition to the upper cervical disorders or independently.

We have developed a novel bipolar host material with both electron and hole transporting characteristics. Since CGH(Cheil Green Host) has some electron transporting characteristics, it shows increased luminance efficiency in device including TCTA and without HBL(hole blocking layer:BAlq). Maximum power efficency of CGH was 27.4lm/W at the device structure ITO/DNTPD(60)/NPB(20)/TCTA(10)/EML(30)/Alq3(20)/LIF(1)/Al. We measured device performance again without HBL. The result of CGH showing 26.0lm/W is outstanding compared to that of CBP showing 19.1lm/W without holeblocking layer. We also measured lifetime and found to be 205hr at 3000nit, that is significant result compared to the life time of CBP device showing 82hr. CGH shows high device performance with holeblocking layer. Moreover, it shows better device performance and life time than those of CBP without holeblocking.
We present a null testing method fer aspheric surfaces, utilizing a phase-shifting diffraction grating interferometer along with a binary amplitude computer generated hologram (CGH). The binary amplitude CGH is designed to compensate for the wavefront between a point source and the aspheric surface under test. The fringe visibility of the grating interferometer is controlled easily by selecting suitable grating diffraction orders for the measurement and reference wavefronts or by optimizing the groove shape of the grating used. The binary amplitude CGH is designed by numerical analysis of ray tracing and fabricated using e-beam lithography for autostigmatic testing. Experimental results of a large-scale aspheric mirror surface are discussed to verify the measurement performance of the proposed diffraction grating interferometer.
