NATM 터널의 대심도 풍화대층에서의 지반거동 및 보강방법 (Ground Behavior and Reinforcing Methods of NATM Tunnel through Deep Weathered Zone)

  • This study analyzed ground settlement and ground stress depending on tunnel excavation and the ground reinforcing grouting methods for double line road tunnel through deep weathered zone. Diameter of double line road tunnel was approximately 12m and umbrella arch method and side wall reinforcing grouting were applied. The ring-cut split excavation method and CD-cut excavation method for excavation method were applied. Analysis of failure rate and vertical stress ratio show that the tunnel for which the height of the cover(H) was higher than four times the diameter, it can be considered a deep tunnel. Comparisons of various excavation and ground reinforcement methods were showed that CD-cut method results in lower surface and crown settlement, and lower failure rate than where using Ring-cut split method. In addition the side wall reinforcing grouting resulted in reduction of tunnel displacement and settlement.

  • 본 연구에서는 대심도 풍화대에 시공되는 2차로 도로터널을 기준으로 터널의 굴착방법과 지반보강그라우팅에 의한 지반변위 및 지반응력의 분석을 통하여 최적의 시공방안을 찾고자 하였다. 터널 직경은 약 12m를 적용하였으며, 상부 강관다단그라우팅 및 측벽 보강그라우팅을 적용하였다. 검토된 굴착방법은 링컷 굴착방법과 중벽분할 굴착방법이다. 터널 천단의 소성율과 연직응력비를 분석한 결과, 풍화대지반에 굴착되는 터널에서 토피고(H)가 터널직경(D)의 4배 이상일 경우(H>4D) 대심도 터널로 판단할 수 있었다. 해석결과 중벽분할 굴착방법이 링컷 굴착방법에 비하여 대심도 풍화대 NATM터널에서 안정성이 높은 굴착방법으로 판단할 수 있었다. 또한, 측벽 보강그라우팅 실시로 터널 내공변위 및 침하 발생을 억제할 수 있었다.

  • Before getting to the actual study of the load distribution factor in various excavating methods, this research is preliminarily focused on the comparison of two different excavation methods, CD cut method and Ringcut method. Especially, the purpose of this research is to study the behavioral mechanism of two tunnels which share the same construction environment but different excavating method. Two numerical analysis models with the same tunnel section and material properties are compared in this study, and they are analyzed by 3D Finite Element Analysis. In each model, face stability, crown displacement, ground settlement, and shotcrete-lining stress are computed. Thus, the general behavior of CD cut method and Ringcut method are studied, and it certified what should be considered for the calculation of the load distribution factor.

Hot-wall epitaxy 방법에 의한 HgCdTe 박막 성장 (Growth of HgCdTe thin film by the hot-wall epitaxy method)

  • Hot-wall epitaxy 방법으로 GaAs (100) 기판 위에 9 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 CdTe (111)을 완충층으로 성장하고 그 위에 in-situ로 $Hg_{1-x}Cd_x$/Te (MCT)박막을 성장하였다. 성장된 MCT박막의 2결정 x-선 요동곡선의 반치폭 값은 125 arcsec이었으며 표면 형상의 roughness는 10 nm의 작고 깨끗한 면을 나타내었다. 성장된 MCT 박막에 대한 광전류 측정으로부터 최대 peak 파장과 cut off 파장은 각각 1.1050 $\mu\textrm{m}$ (1.1220 eV)와 1.2632 $\mu\textrm{m}$ (0.9815 eV)임을 알았다 이 peak 파장은 광전도체의 intrinsic transition에 기인한 band gap에 대응하는 봉우리이다. 이로부터 MCT 박막은 1.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$에서 1.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 근적외선 파장 영역을 감지할 수 있는 광전도체용 검출기로 쓰일 수 있음을 알았다.

진공증착 법으로 제작한 $WO_{3}$/CdS 박막의 가시광 광 변색의 에너지 전환 (Visible photochromic energy shift of $WO_{3}$/CdS thin films fabricated by thermal evaporation method)

  • Tungsten oxide($WO_{3}$) is suitable to materials for photochromic window in the visible region. The resistivities of CdS, $WO_{3}$, and $WO_{3}$/CdS films prepared by thermal evaporation method were $4.61\times 10\^{3}$, $7.59\times10^{3}$, and $6.29\times10^{3}$ $\omega$ cm. And x-ray diffraction patterns of CdS, $WO_{3}$/CdS films showed a preferred orientation of hexagonal(002), and the monoclinic(020) structure, respectively. The optical transmission were measured that the cut-on wavelength were 510nm, 380nm for CdS and $WO_{3}$ films respectively, and the transmission spectrum of $WO_{3}$/CdS was shifted into the visible region. Photoluminescence(PL) spectra showed the two peaks at 2.8 eV and 3.2 eV for the as-grown sample($WO_{3}$/CdS ($500{\AA}$), but the other sample($WO_{3}$/CdS ($1000{\AA}$)) had a peak energy value of 2.8 eV. The photochromism of $WO_{3}$/CdS films showed that the excitation of electron-hole pairs and subsequent coloration is shifted into visible-light range. And the spectral behavior of coloration turned out to be proportional to the excited electron-hole pairs creation rate of CdS film. This result is interpreted in terms of charge carrier injection from the CdS-layer into the $WO_{3}$ films. We found a value of about 2.8 eV of $WO_{3}$/CdS film which is somewhat higher than peak energy of 2.54 eV using CBD prepared by Bechinger et. al.

질소기체를 이용한 잎담배 팽화특성 (The Expansive Properties of leaf tobacco by Nitrogen Gas)

  • The expansive properties of leaf tobacco by nitrogen gas was investigated with cut tobacco AB3O-1, CD3L-1(NC82). Major factors for the best expansion of the tobacco by the gas were an impregnated pressure and expansion temperature. The expansion rate for AB3O-1 and CD3L-1 at 250℃, 750kg/cm2 was 96.6%, 99.4% respectively. The shred size and fineness index at 96.6% of expansion rate for AB3O-1 was almost the same as at 58.3% for CD3L-1. The time reaching at equilibrium moisture under of RH 57% was 36hr in non-treated leaf tobacco, but it was 20hr in expanded tobacco. We confirmed that total sugar contents of leaf tobacco by the expansion was decreased with 9.3∼10.9%. Total alkaloid was decreased with 17.5∼21.1% and ether extracts was declined with 4.9∼9.3%. These results suggest that the expansion method of leaf tobacco by nitrogen gas is a useful method without any serious environmental troubles. Development of a New Double Buffer Layer for Cu(In, Ga) $Se_2$ Solar Cells

  • The new approach to buffer layer design for CIGS solar cells that permitted to reduce the buffer absorption losses in the short wavelength range and to overcome the disadvantages inherent to Cd-free CIGS solar cells was proposed. A chemical bath deposition method has been used to produce a high duality buffer layer that comprises thin film of CdS and Zn-based film. The double layer was grown on either ITO or CIGS substrates and its morphological, structural and optical properties were characterized. The Zn-based film was described as the ternary compound $ZnS_x(OH)_y$. The composition of the $ZnS_x(OH)_y$ layer was not uniform throughout its thickness. $ZnS_x(OH)_y$/CdS/substrate region was a highly intermixed region with gradually changing composition. The short wavelength cut-off of double layer was shifted to shorter wavelength (400nm) compared to that (520 nm) for the standard CdS by optimization of the double buffer design. The results show the way to improve the light energy collection efficiency of the nearly cadmium-free CIGS-based solar cells.

  • Major noise source in high speed rotating optical disk drives (CD and DVD-ROM) arises due to the high-speed airflow produced from the upper and lower surfaces on the rotating disk. The present paper deals with the experimental approach how to identify the noise source based on the fundamental principles of aeroacoustics and to propose a reduction method of the noise source. The CD-ROM device is composed of disk, window tray, motors at the bottom place and electronic circuit plate also located below the window plate. The window is cut in the tray to read the disk information using the optical device located below the tray and moving linearly from the center of the disk through the end of the disk. All components are possible noise generators. Experimental studies were carried out in the anechoic room with various design modifications, such as tray geometry, window size and hole location on tray, to identify the major aerodynamic noise source and significant reductions of the aerodynamic noise were obtained.

  • Tritium removal from tritiated heavy water in a PHWR is the most effective way in reducing workers' internal dose and radioactivity emissions from Wolsong NPP. The optimum design of the Wolsong TRF (Tritium Removal Facility) was carried out using an approximate short-cut method with an assumption that the TRF, designed to extract 8 MCi per year of elemental tritium from a heavy oater feedstream, uses Liquid Phase Catalytic Exchange (LPCE) front-end process and Cryogenic Distillation (CD) process.

  • Flow field and near-field noise of a centrifugal fan has been studied with an efrcient compressible method and STAR-CD. The flow field of the centrifugal fan is assumed two-dimensional. Most of the compressible studies has been done by inviscid solver because viscous simulation shows little difference. The near field noise is estimated in term s of sound pressure level in frequency domain transformed from the computed pressure fluctuations using FFT. The simulation has been done on various design elements such as impeller blade shapes, the number of blades and cut-off clearance. The comparison shows that the number of blades has a significant effect on near-field noise without losing aerodynamic performance.
