멀티미디어기술을 이용한 치과방사선학 전자 교과서 제작에 관한 연구 (The Creation of Dental Radiology Multimedia Electronic Textbook)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to develop the electronic textbook (CD-rom title) about preclinical practice of oral and maxillofacial radiology, using multimedia technology with interactive environment. Materials and Methods: After comparing the three authoring methods of multimedia, i.e. programming language, multimedia authoring tool and web authoring tool, we determined the web authoring tool as an authoring method of our electronic textbook. Intel Pentium II 350 MHz IBM-compatible personal computer with 128 Megabyte RAM, Umax Powerlook flatbed scanner with transparency unit, Olympus Camedia l400L digital camera, ESS 1686 sound card, Sony 8 mm Handycam, PC Vision 97 pro capture board, Namo web editor 3.0, Photoshop 3.0, ThumbNailer, RealPlayer 7 basic and RealProducer G2 were used for creating the text document, diagram, figure, X-ray image, video and sound files. We made use of javascripts for tree menu structure, moving text bar, link button and spread list menu and image map etc. After creating all files and hyperlinking them, we burned out the CD-rom title with all of the above multimedia data, Netscape communicator and plug in program as a prototype. Results and Conclusions : We developed the dental radiology electronic textbook which has 9 chapters and consists of 155 text documents, 26 figures, 150 X-ray image files, 20 video files, 20 sound files and 50 questions with answers. We expect that this CD-rom title can be used at the intranet and internet environments and continuous updates will be performed easily.

CAI를 이용한 어린이 성희롱/성폭력 예방교육 효과 (The Effect of Computer-Assisted Instruction(CAI) through the Multimedia CD-ROM on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of education for prevention of child sexual abuse (rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment etc.) of children in elementary school students. Incidences of sexual abuse in Korea is ranked 3rd in the world. Sexual abuse of children, particularly, is one of the most serious crimes that affect both the victimized children and their family. The issue related to sexual abuse of children has been ignored, and there is a lack of systematic education to prevent sexual abuse of children either for children or their parents. Furthermore, lack of knowledge and poor attitude of teachers limit their capability to provide education for sexual abuse prevention to the children. The education for teachers may change their knowledge of the sexual abuse and their attitude toward it and improve their capability in helping children. 223 Korean elementary school students participated in this study. Research design was One group pretest-posttest design. The education given to the subjects included 4 hours through the multimedia CD-ROM on the prevention of child sexual abuse. The education program was developed based on a survey. School- aged- children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. This program includes such as safety education, crisis management, resource person(s), and phone numbers of available hospital. Data was collected before, during and after the education was given to the subjects, to assess their knowledge and attitude toward child sexual abuse. Two instruments were used in this study. Using Cronbach's ALPHA validity and reliability of 2 instruments were tested. The analysis of the data was done with Window SPSS 10.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this analysis were as follows : 1. After education, the score of school nurses knowledge was higher than before(t= -4.677, p=0.000). 2. After education, the score of school nurses attitude was not higher than before (t=0.131, p=0.896). The findings from this study will provide an intervention strategy for prevention of sexual abuse in children.

건강신념 모델에 근거한 보육시설 유아대상 영양교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of a Health Belief Model Based Nutrition Education Program for Day Care Center Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop various nutrition education materials, including an animated CD, for day care center children and their teachers and in order to apply the nutrition education programs systematically. We evaluated the effect of the nutrition education programs on nutrition knowledge in the first year, and the effect of the nutrition education programs on nutrition knowledge, food attitudes and eating behaviors in the second year in day care center children. In the first year, nutrition education foundational materials, such as the animated CD-ROM, videotape, textbook, panels, posters, slogans, leaflets, picture disks, hand puppets, stickers for compensation and poster boards were developed. The subjects were 537 children (286 boys,251 girls) aged four to six years. In the second year, nutrition education materials, such as the animated CD-ROM and textbook were developed. The nutrition education group included 368 children (177 boys 191 girls) aged four to six years, and the comparison group consisted of 108 children (54 boys,54 girls) Regarding the nutrition knowledge test results in the first year, the pre-test mean of children was 6.82, however, the post-test mean was 11.35 and showed a significant increase (p < 0.001). Regarding the nutrition knowledge test and the food attitude test results in the second yew, the nutrition education group had significantly higher scores than the comparison group in a post-test (p < 0.001). For the eating behavior test results, the post-test means between the comparison group and the nutrition education group were not significant. The test results show that several months of nutrition education is not enough to improve eating behaviors. As a result, nutrition education has improved nutrition knowledge and food attitudes in day care center children but short-term nutrition education was not sufficient to induce a change in eating behaviors. To improve eating behaviors in day care center children, nutrition education programs must be applied to day care center children in addition to their Parents and Persistent education will have to be continued.

사용자 인터페이스 디자인과 개발 User Interface Design and development

  • 많은 컴퓨터 시스템(또는 프로그램)이 그들의 사용자가 필요로 하는 것을 고려하지 않고 디자인되었다. 이에, 사용자 인터페이스의 디자인과 개발의 실질적이고 포괄적인 안내를 제공하기 위하여, 디자이너 혹은 개발자는 사용자의 관점에서 요구 조건을 분석하고 평가하여 더욱 효과적인 컴퓨터 시스템으로 디자인하는 것이 요구되고 있다. 본문의 논제는, 기존 제작된 멀티미디어 CD-ROM 데모 타이틀인 원더랜드(Wonder-land)를 대상으로, 사용자 인터페이스 디자인과 개발을 위한 세부사항을 사용자의 관점에서 연구 분석하는 것이다. 연구 목적은, 사용자 인터페이스 디자인과 개발의 개념, 기술과 아이디어를 실제의 프로그램에 적용하여 사용자의 입장에서 분석, 비평하므로써, 그 프로그램을 개선, 개발시켜나가도록 하는데에 있다. 사용자 인터페이스 디자인과 개발의 목적을 위하여, 본 논문은 분석 대상프로그램의 특징, 현재의 사용자 인터페이스, 멘탈 모델, 그리고 사용자가 그 프로그램에 대하여 배우는 것을 분석, 비평, 문제점등을 제시한다. 결론으로서, 어떠한 프로그램이라도 디자인, 개발하기 위하여서는 사용자 입장의, 인지의관점으로부터 계속적인 분석, 비평, 개선하는 것이 요구되고 있음을 발견하였다.

영유아보건생활 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (Health Education Program Development for Infants, Toddlers and Preschool Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a health education program for child care workers of infants, toddlers and preschoolers to improve their care ability. The program provided child care teachers and children with information on how to take care of their health. Method: This program development was based on a systematic design of instruction by Dick & Carey(1996). The process included a review of literature, setting an instructional goal, getting advice from various experts, designing instruction and instructional medias, designing formative evaluation, revising the program and making a summative evaluations. Result: The products of this program were the 'Teachers Guide Book & CD-ROM.' The guide book included health education programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The infant program included a basic baby care program for teachers. The toddlers and preschoolers program included basic health promotion, dental health, nutrition management, communicable disease prevention, substance abuse prevention and a safety program. Conclusion: These programs provided a systematic content of health education for children and their teachers, and useful data which can be applied to child care centers.

  • The purpose of this study is the development of PBL(problem-based learning) system using visual C++5.0 as a window-based application program. A patient who complains of weight loss was used in PBL case. Initial frame is made by dialog-based in MFC(microsoft foundation class). Also, sample medical images are composed of ultra-sound, chest PA, Thyroid scan, otherwise. we will make this program as CD-ROM and the internet application or computer assisted learning and continuous medical education.

유아용 교육프로그램의, 개발 (Development of Education Program for Early childhoods)

  • 유아교육현장에서 유아의 수준에 맞는 영역별 멀티미디어의 제작과 활용은 아직 미흡한 상태이고, 수업활동과의 연계가 어려운 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문은 저작도구 ToolBook II를 사용하여 유아의 수준에 맞추어 유아용 교육프로그램을 제작하고, 프로그램을 수업활동에 직접 적용시킴으로 학습성취를 향상시키는 방향을 제시한다. 구현한 프로그램은 기존의 과목별 유아용 CD-ROM타이틀과는 달리 유아교육과정의 놀이영역을 기준으로 글자나라, 숫자나라, 색깔나라, 동요나라, 동화나라, 그리고 인터넷 사이트의 6개의 영역으로 나뉘어 진다. 유아를 대상으로 한 프로그램이기 때문에 청각, 시각을 자극할 수 있도록 유아들에게 친숙한 이미지, 소리와 같은 멀티미디어적인 요소들을 적절히 활용한다. 또한 문자의 사용에 익숙하지 못한 유아들이기 때문에 문자의 사용은 지양하면서, 교육현장에서 활용 가능하도록 구성한다. 프로그램의 적용후의 평가부분에서는 유아평가방법 중 평정 척도법을 선택하여 평가한다. 프로그램을 유아교육현장에서 적용 시켜본 결과, 각 영역 중 숫자나라와 글자나라, 색깔나라 영역에서 효율적인 학습의 효과가 있는 것으로 평가되고, 연령에 구분에서는 5~7세 중에서 7세 유아들에게 가장 효율적인 학습효과가 나타나는 것으로 평가된다.

부동 소수점 DSP를 이용한 MPEG-2 AAC 부호차기 구현 (MPEG-2 AAC Encoder Implementation Using a floating-Point DSP)

  • MPEG-2 AAC는 이미 보다 진보한 차세대 기술로 표준화가 이루어 졌다. AAC는 96-128kbps/stereo에서 CD 음질의 오디오 신호를 표현한다. 본 논문은 고음질의 MPEG-2 AAC LC Profile 부호화기 구현에 관하여 논하였다. 공통 스케일펙터와 무손실코딩은 각각 $45\%$$27\%$의 TMS320C30 명령어 이득을 가져왔다. 구현된 부호화기는 프로그램 메모리 7.5 kWords, 데이터 롬 18kWords, 데이터 램 92kBytes를 사용한다. 주관적 음질평가결과는 96kbps 스테레오에서 얻어진 AAC 부호화기 음질이 MP3 128kbps 스테레오에서 얻어진 것과 동일한 음질을 가짐을 보여준다.

ICT 활용 지리수업을 위한 DB형 교수-학습 자료 개발 (The Development of DB-type Teaching and Learning Material for Geography Instruction Using a Method of ICT)

  • ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 활용 지리수업을 위해서는 데이터베이스(database, 이하, ‘DB' 라 칭함)형 교수-학습 자료를 개발하는 것이 필수적이다. 이러한 DB형 교수-학습자료는 WBI(Web Based Instruction. 웹기반수업)에서의 지리이미지자료 사용상의 문제점을 극복해 줄 대안으로 간주된다. 이를 위하여 본 구에서는 우선 지리이미지 데이터베이스 프로그램(이하. '지리이미지 DB 프로그램' 이라 칭함)을 기반으로 CD-ROM 형태의 지리이미지 전자사전(이하, 'GEO-DB' 라 칭함)을 제작했다. GEO-DB에는 3,060개의 지리이미지가 원자료로 수록되어 있는데, 이러한 자료들은 온라인과 오프라인 상에서 교사와 학습자가 공동으로 수집한 것이다. GEO-DB에는 교사와 학습자 모두 지리이미지 자료를 단순하게 활용함은 물론. 임의적으로 자료의 가공이 가능하도록 포트폴리오 기능을 첨부했는데, 이러한 포트폴리오 기능은, 특히 학습자의 자기주도적 학습능력의 신장에 기여하고자 한 것이다 GEO-DB는 사용의 수월성, 검색의 신속성 및 확장의 무한성을 갖고 있어서, 지리 교수-학습에서 ICT의 활용 가능성을 극대화시켜 줄 수 있고. 학습자의 지리학습능력의 신장과 지리학습태도의 변화에 크게 기여할 수 있는 것으로 교사와 학습자에 의해 평가되었다.

광 디스크 드라이브의 공력소음 감소에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reduction of Sound Noise Induced by Disk Rotation in Optical Disk Drives)

  • We study the characteristics of airflow and sound noise induced by disk rotation in optical disk drives. The characteristics of airflow around a rotating disk surrounded by various tray structures are numerically investigated using a commercial CFD program and then compared with experimental results. Sound pressure and intensity caused by the fluid-structure interactions in the CD/DVD-ROM drive are measured, and the effect of the ariflow on the sound noise and disk vibration is discussed. In order to reduce airflow-induced noise and vibration around the rotating disk, tray geometry is modified. Both numerical and experimental studies implemented with different tray models show that the improved tray model alters the characteristics of the disk-induced airflow, causing the reduction of the airflow-induced sound level.
