Performance Improvement of a STTD Receiver without the Mutual Interference of Antenna

  • For mobile multimedia systems that equip transmit diversity for a forward channel, it is well known that the Tx diversity technique is appropriate for high rate mobile multimedia communications. In this paper, we propose a STTD (Space Time Transmit Diversity) receiver, which incorporates the design of the Tx diversity receiver without the mutual interference of antenna by using a CCI cancellation technique. The new STTD receiver is simulated and its performance is analyzed in a DS-CDMA/QPSK. Adopting the proposed STTD receiver at $10^{-2}$TEX>∼$10^{-4}$TEX> in bit error rate, SNR of 0.5 ㏈∼2 ㏈ performance improvement in AWGN and Rayleigh fading environments has been achieved.

  • A method of theoretical calculation of the thermodynamic properties for liquid-vapor interface of binary solution is developed according to the transient state theory of significant liquid structure. The surface tensions, the adsorbed amounts at the liquid-vapor interface and the activity coefficients of the components for the solutions of $C_6H_{12}-C_6H_6$ $CCI_4-C_6H_6$, $CHCl_3-C_6H_6$, $CHCl_3-CCl_4$, $CCl_4-CS_2$ are calculated through the full ranges of the compositions.

Two-Dimensional Analysis of Pressure Distribute by Underwater Electric Discharge (수중방전에 의한 압력분포의 2차원 해석)

  • The two-dimensional pressure distribution, which is the most important parameter in the casting cleaning installations(CCI), was analyzed using the K-FIX computer program for two-phase flow. Modelling was done using R-Z coordinates for the initial and boundary conditions which don't have periodic influx and efflux, and also there was the electric discharge due to high pressure and temperature. The marked particles were introduced to prodict the structure and the size of main and local moving surfaces. The initial and boundary conditions were modified due to the internal structure of CCI.From the results of numerical analysis, it was shown that the maximum pressure on casting was increased with the increase of a water level. The pressure on casting in the radial direction was higher than that in axial direction. Also, it was proved that by introducing the marked particles it was possible to predict the surface structure in case of two-phase flow.

Error Rate Performance Variation by the Reception Phase Error in a Frequency-Selective Rayleigh Fading Channel Environment (주파수 선택성 레일리 페이딩 채널환경에서 수신 오차위상에 의한 오율 특성 변화)

  • In is well-known that system performance in the high speed digital radio communication system is usually deteriorted due to the frequency selective fading distortion. In this paper, bit error rate(BER) performance by the reception phase error in cellular mobile communication systems is derived and analyzed. The system is modeled as a frequency selective fast Rayleigh fading channel corrupted by additive white gaussian noise(AWGN) and co-channel interference(CCI). Our numerical results show that for the 24KBaud(48Kb/s) $\pi$/4-DQPSK operated at carrier frequency 800 MHz and C/I<20 dB, the BER will be dominated by CCI if the vehicular speed is below 100 Km/h. The results show that performance, when reception phase error is below $\pi$/12, is deterioreted less than 3 dB, and that performance, when reception phase error is above $\pi$/12, is degraded over 3 dB.

  • 본 논문은 광대역 무선통신환경에서 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project)에 기반한 비동기 IMT-2000 시스템의 송수신 시스템을 구성하여 기지국의 수신성능을 분석한다. 이동국과 기지국간의 Uplink채널 환경을 고려하였으며, 다중경로 페이딩(Multi-path Fading)채널과 다중접속간섭(Mult-Access Interference : MAI)에 의한 성능열화의 대책으로 Adaptive away 안테나와 동일채널 간섭제거기(Co-Channel Interference Canceler : CCI Canceller)를 직렬로 채용하였을 경우의 수신 성능을 수치해석을 통하여 분석하였다. Adaptive array 안테나는 방향성(Directivity : D=2.67) 이용하는 3-element array 안테나를 채용하였으며 성능분석 결과, Adaptive array 안테나와 간섭제거기를 직렬로 연결하였을 경우 다중접속간섭이 효과적으로 감소하여 수신성능이 큰 폭으로 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

Liquid viscosities of binary mixtures and some hydrocarbons in the high pressure range with applications of the significant structure theory

  • Further validity of the significant structure theory has been tested by calculating the viscosities of binary mixtures-three pairs of $C_6H_6(1)+C_6H_{12}\;(2),\;CCI_4\;(1)+C_6H_6{2}and\l;CCI_4(1)+C_6H_{12}(2)$-and also by calculating the viscosities of n-$C_5H_{12}\;and\;n-C_6H_{14}$ in the pressure range of 1 bar to 4000 bars. The results are quite satisfactory for both cases and provide another evidence for the validity of the significan structure theory.

  • This study was carried out to investigate effects of Cuscutae semen extract(C. S. E) on $CCI_4$-induced liver damage in rabbits and acute toxicity in mice. $LD_{50}(mg/kg)$ of C. S. E. was 7.83g/kg by intraperitoneal administration in mice. C. S. E. groups were showed more rapid recuperation than the control group intoxicated by $CCI_4$ only. SGPT activity was lowered significantly in 800mg/kg after 6 days. The levels of total cholesterol and total bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase were decreased apparently in 800mg/kg from 6 days. It is suggested that C. S. E. can be administered not only as a therapeutic agent(such as liver tonics) but also a healthy food to shorten the recovery time in liver diseases.

  • To explore the effect of monosodium-L-glutamate(MSG) on CCI$_{4}$-damaged liver in Wister male rat, 5% MSG solution as drink water were administered after S.C. injection of 0.1 mg/kg CC1$_{4}$ twice a week for 4 weeks. After last administration of MSG, heptic glutathione(GSH) dependent system was assayed. It showed that MSG increased significanly hepatic glutathione(GSH) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH$_{px}$), but decreased glutathione-S-transferase(GST) acivity in normal rats. MSG increased significantly the GSH$_{px}$ and GST activities in rats with CCI$_{4}$-induced liver damage. These results indicate that decrease of GSH dependent systems in CC1$_{4}$ liver injury might be partially elevated by coadministration of MSG.

STBC-OFDM Decoding Method for Fast-Fading Channels

  • In this paper, we propose a novel signal detection method that achieves the maximum likelihood (ML) performance but requires much less computational complexity than the ML detection. When the well-known linear decoding method is used for space-time block coded (STBC) OFDM systems in fast-fading channels, co-channel interference (CCI) as well as inter-carrier interference (ICI) occurs. A maximum likelihood (ML) method can be employed to deal with the CCI; however, its computational complexity is very high. In this paper, we propose a signal detection method for orthogonal space-time coded OFDM systems that achieves the similar error performance as the ML method, but requires much less computational complexity.

This paper propose the system that client player witch encrypted using PKI have symmetric key and CCI (copy control information), decrypt digital content witch encrypted when digital content created.
