Recently the use of Linux OS is increasing to tremendous figures. But due to the fact that Linux is distributed on an open-source policy, the need of security is an upcoming question which leads to widespread development of security on a Linux based environment. Cryptography, however, can cause various problems because of difficulty of key management. A lot of researchers have been concentrating on the key recovery technique to eliminate the reverse effect of using these kinds of security and to promote positive aspects of using it. In this thesis I am suggesting an mechanism based on the key recovery technique, as a method to save time in recovery and resetting a disconnection between two end-users through IPSec (IP Security) protocols in a VPN (Virtual Private Network) environment. The main idea of the newly suggested mechanism, KRFSH (Key Recovery Field Storage Header), is to store the information of the session in advance for the case of losing the session information essential to establish a tunnel connection between a SG and a host in the VPN environment, and so if necessary to use the pre-stored information for recovery. This mechanism is loaded on the IPSec based FreeS/WAN program (Linux environment), and so the VPN problem mentioned above is resolved.
This research is performed to estimate quality of trial pavement for construction and analyze effect of fatigue life by using the pay factor. Specially, asphalt content which is difficult to control the pavement quality, is selected by pay adjustment standard factors and pay factor is calculated by asphalt content. This research is also analyzed to present relation of fatigue life according to asphalt content, to evaluate quality of the road pavement by calculating pay factor of sampling trial field mixture 2 times. This research confirms that it is different quality of road pavement according to pay factor changes. To analyze the fatigue life of pavement by using asphalt mixture for trial field. As a result, it is conformed that high pay factor could be high fatigue life of trial field. This means that pay factor using probability theory reflects road pavement fatigue life. Also, this study is included that beam fatigue test manufacturing specimen such as mixing type of plant which purvey asphalt mixture to trial field, compared with fatigue life of trial field. As a result, the fatigue life of specimen that is manufactured by mix type is higher than trial field specimen. This means that performance of road pavement can be reduced by gradation or other effects. Therefore, to exactly evaluate the quality of road pavement, pay factor should be calculated appling various pay adjustment standard factors such as gradation, air-void in U.S. states which is adopted pay adjustment.
Purpose: The rate of fistulas occuring followed by resection of oral cavity, oropharyngeal, hypopharyngeal, and laryngeal cancer are reported to be 9 ~ 23% according to various documents. Neglected treatment of the fistula can result in a setback in proper treatment with restrictions in oral intake leading to delayed return to daily life. Furthurmore, in severe cases, it may injure important vessels and adjacent structures of the neck area. The author reviewed previously reported cases of treatment methods for fistulas recurring after diverse head and neck operations and with sharing the treatment experiments of our patients, we tried to present a treatment algorism for different fistula types. Methods: Our study was based on retrograde analysis of 64 patients who were clinically diagnosed with fistula after operation for cancer of the head and neck from 1997 to 2008 at Severance Hospital. Their primary sites of cancer were 8 oral cavity, 22 oropharynx, 25 hypopharynx, and 9 larynx. The patients were aged 45 to 75 years and the male to female ratio was 11 to 1. The patient's operation records and progress notes were evaluated for determination of degree of fistula and treatment methods. Results: Most fistulas were clinically suspected after postoperative 5 days and symptoms noted for detection of the fistula were erythema, purulent discharge, edema, tenderness, and fluctuation. The fistula was definitely diagnosed at postoperative 2 weeks with barium test and treatment method ranging from conservative management to operative procedure were applied to each patients. Total 21 patients were managed with conservative protocol. In 15 cases, direct repair of the fistula was done and more stable repair of the fistula was possible with using of TachoComb$^{(R)}$. Pharyngostoma was performed in 14 patients. Among them, 4 patients healed spontaneously, 5 patients were taken direct closure, 4 patients were taken pectoralis major musculocutaneous flap, and one patient was taken esophageal transfer. The other 14 patients were taken 11 pectoralis major musculocutaneous flaps and 3 free flaps without pharyngostoma formation. Conclusion: Fistula is a troublesome complication resulting after resection of head and neck cancer. Early detection and adequate treatment according to the period and condition of the fistula may prevent further complications and reduce the pain of the patient.

Colorectal cancer is the second most frequent malignant tumor in the United States and fourth most frequent tumor in Korea. Surgery has been used as a primary treatment modality but reported overall survivals after curative resection were from $20\%\;to\;50\%$. Local recurrence is the most common failure in the treatment of locally advanced colorectal cancer. Once recurrence has developed, surgery has rarely the role and the five year survival of locally advanced rectal cancer is less than $5\%$, in spite of massive combination therapy. Intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) with or without external beam irradiation has been advocated for reducing local recurrence and improving survival. The recent report of local failure by this modality was only $5\%$, this indicated that significant improvement of local control could be achieved. We performed 6 cases of IORT for locally advanced colorectal cancer which is the first experience in Korea. Patient's eligibility, treatment applicator, electron energy, dose distribution on the surface and depth within the treatment field and detailed skills are discussed. We hope that our IORT protocol can reduce local failure and increase the long term survival significantly.
This study was designed to evaluate the effects of anesthetics on waveform of SEPs and to authorize possible anesthetic protocol for measurement of the somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs). Thirteen anesthetic methods were used. The SEPs were recorded on two channels (between the 5th and 6th lumbar vertebra as the channel 1 and between the 11th and 12th thoracic vertebra as the channel 2) following stimulation of posterior tibial nerve. ID analyze SEPs wave, latency and conduction velocity were measured. Among thirteen anesthetic methods, standard SEPs waveforms were observed in dogs anesthetized with following six methods: Acepromazine + Thiepfntal Na + Isoflurane, Acepronazine + Propofol + Isoflurane, Diazepam + Xylazine, Xylazine + Ketamine, Acepromazine + Propofol infusion and Propofol infusion. Above six methods could be used with sufficient anesthetic depth. The differences of latency and conduction velocity among six groups were minimal compared to general waveform of SEPs. These results indicate that the six anesthetic methods can be used for recording SEPs in the dog. In particular, Diazepam + Xylazine and XylaBine + Ketamine as injectable anesthesia are considered more convenient than other four methods in veterinary medicine.
Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that causes disorientation, mood swings, problems with language, and difficulty remembering recent events. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AchEIs) and memantine have been used to slow the course of the disease, but they can neither modify its progression nor prevent disease onset. Previous studies have suggested that Kami-guibi-tang (KGT) could be beneficial for supporting cognitive function in AD patients, but few clinical trials have been published. This pilot study aimed to evaluate the effect of KGT in improving cognitive function in AD patients. Methods: The study will be a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, single-center trial conducted using subjects diagnosed with mild AD by neurologists. Study subjects will be randomly assigned to either a treatment or control group. The treatment group will receive KGT granules for 24 weeks, while the control group will receive placebo granules. AchEI administration will be maintained in both groups during the entirety of the study. Subjects will be assessed using the following exams: the Seoul Neuropsychologic Screening Battery (SNSB) for cognitive function; brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for brain metabolite, neurotransmitter, and cerebral blood flow (CBF) measurements; the Korean version of Quality of Life-Alzheimer's Disease (KQol-AD) for quality of life; the Caregiver-Administered Neuropsychiatric Inventory (CGA-NPI) for neurobehavioral symptoms; blood tests for amyloid and tau proteins and general blood parameters; and electrocardiography (ECG) before and after taking the medication. Discussion: Our findings will provide insight into the feasibility of large-scale trials to consolidate evidence for the efficacy of KGT for dementia treatment. The tactical network is system based on wireless networking technologies that ties together surveillance reconnaissance systems, precision strike systems and command and control systems. Several alternative paths exist in the network because it is connected as a grid to improve its survivability. In addition, the network topology changes frequently as forces and combatants change their network access points while conducting operations. However, most Internet routing standards have been designed for use in stable backbone networks. Therefore, tactical networks may exhibit a deterioration in performance when these standards are implemented. In this paper, we propose Priority based Multi-Path routing with Local Optimization(PMPLO) for a tactical backbone network. The PMPLO separately manages the global and local metrics. The global metric propagates to other routers through the use of a routing protocol, and it is used for a multi-path configuration that is guaranteed to be loop free. The local metric reflects the link utilization that is used to find an alternate path when congestion occurs, and it is managed internally only within each router. It also produces traffic that has a high priority privilege when choosing the optimal path. Finally, we conducted a simulation to verify that the PMPLO can effectively distribute the user traffic among available routers.
WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) standard is currently developing with increased wireless internet demand. Though existing IEEE 802.11e demonstrates that data rates exceed 54Mbps with assuring QoS(Quality of Service), wireless internet users can't be satisfied with real communication system. After IEEE 802.11e system, Study trends of IEEE 802.11n show two aspects, enhanced system throughput using aggregation among packets in MAC (Medium Access Control) layer, and better data rates adapting MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) in PHY(Physical) layer. But, no one demonstrates IEEE 802.11n system performance results considering MAC and PHY connection. Therefore, this paper adapts MIMO in PHY layer for IEEE 802.11n system based on A-MPDU(Aggregation-MAC Protocol Data Unit) method in MAC layer considering MAC and PHY connection. SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) method with WLAN MIMO TGn Channel is used to analyze MIMO. Consequently, Simulation results show enhanced throughput and data rates compared to existing system. Also, We use Ns-2(Network Simulator-2) considering MAC and PHY connection for reality.

In IP-based wireless sensor networks (WSNs), it might be necessary to distribute application updates to the sensor nodes in order to fix bugs or add new functionality. However, physical access to nodes is in many cases extremely limited following deployment. Therefore, network reprogramming protocols have recently emerged as a way to distribute application updates without requiring physical access to sensor nodes. In order to solve the network reprogramming problem over the air interface, this thesis presents a new scheme for new update code propagation using fragmentation scheme and network coding. The proposed code propagation method roughly shows reduced performance improvement in terms of the number of data exchange compared with the previously proposed pipelining scheme. Further, It is shows enhanced reliability for update code propagation and reduced overhead in terms of the number of data exchange. As a result, we can efficiently perform the software update from the viewpoint of speed, energy, and network congestion when the proposed code propagation system is applied. In addition, the proposed system solves overhearing problems of network coding such as the loss of original messages and decoding error using the predefined message. Therefore, our system allows a software update system to exchange reliable data in wireless sensor networks.
In this paper, we propose a practical TCP friendly rate control scheme that considers the minimum channel bandwidth of the network when transporting SVC (scalable video coding) video over IP netowrks such as Internet. RTP and RTCP is mainly designed for use with UDP (User Datagram Protocol) for real-time video transport over the Internet. TCP-friendly rate control was proposed to satisfy the demands of multimedia applications while being reasonably fair when competing for bandwidth with conventional TCP applications. However the rate control model of the conventional TCP-friendly rate control scheme does not consider the minimum channel bandwidth of the network. Thus the estimated channel bandwidth by the conventional rate control model might be quite different from the real channel bandwidth when the packet loss ratio of the network is very large. In this paper, we propose a modified TCP-friendly rate control scheme that considers the minimum channel bandwidth of the network. Based on the modified TCP-friendly rate control, we assign the minimum channel bandwidth to the base layer bitstream of SVC video, and remaining available bandwidth is allocated to the enhancement layer of SVC video for the TCP friendly scalable video transmission. It is shown by simulations that the modified TCP-friendly rate control scheme can be effectively used for a wider range of controlled bit rates depending on the packet loss ratio than the conventional TCP-friendly control scheme. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of objective video quality is proved by comparing PSNR performance with the conventional scheme.
