  • Controller Area Network was developed originally for in-vehicle communication network. But it is now widely used for factory automation because of its properties such as strong noise resistance and high reliabilities. With changing communication environments from peer to peer topology to bus topology, we should check each devices about not only mechanical operations but also electronic or software operations. In this paper, we suggest reliability test environment for CAN based system, which is divided two parts, data correctness and timely delivery.

  • 본 논문에서는 엘리베이터에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 고장 요소들을 실시간으로 진단하고 일정시간 이상 운행이 정지된 경우 고장으로 판단하여 운행상태를 CAN 통신을 이용하여 원격으로 모니터링이 가능한 시스템을 설계하였다. 엘리베이터 내의 승객 탑승여부 확인, 현재 운행위치, 주요 고장내용을 실시간으로 진단하고 CAN 메시지를 이용 메인 컨트롤러에 송신하고 엔지니어는 서버기반의 어플리케이션을 통해 확인이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 자동차, 선박 등 전장분야에 적용되고 있는 CAN 프로토콜을 이용하여 통신의 신뢰성을 확보하고 엘리베이터 관련 운행 및 고장 상태 등을 실시간을 파악할 수 있도록 하여 효율적인 엘리베이터 유지보수를 가능하도록 하였다. 설계된 시스템의 성능평가는 시뮬레이션 및 프로토콜 모니터링을 통해 수행하였다.

  • Heterogeneous field sensor network between sensor to sensor is designed the CAN method to bus type structure in most using at industry. This Network is supporting a distance vector routing protocol on a characteristic structural a bus type. Also This network support to convert as making separate routing table in heterogeneous network. However distance vector routing protocol make a problem of decrease efficiency because of restriction of network expandability and low transmission process. We propose new CAN routing protocol to support network expandability and high transmission process of industry network. New CAN routing protocol structure addition priority and optional function field based on RIPv2. We established heterogeneous field sensor network, we measure data Throughput(bits/sec) for confirm new CAN routing protocol to increase efficient in industry.

  • In this study, we developed a OBE(On Board Equipment) system in which moving cars communicate directly each other to exchange traffic information. this system achieved by using DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication). this technology can improve the fidelity of collected information by transferring current state information from a moving car to center in real time. As a consequence of it, moving cars can be offer information service of hight quality even in a shadow zone. and also, in addition to basic ETC function for toll payment, using our newly developed system, delivering traffic information and providing additive service like GPS can be achieved by car-to-car direct communication within shadow areas without additional infra-structure.

  • FlexRay is a new standard of network communication system which provides a high speed serial communication, time triggered bus and fault tolerant communication between electronic devices for future automotive applications. The speed of FlexRay is 10 times higher than that of CAN. In this paper, FlexRay module is implemented using MC9S12XF512 micro-controller and gateway converting CAN message to FlexRay message. It is shown that the implemented system operates successfully.

  • LED is low power and pro-environment semiconductor element. That can be used not only as the lighting function but also for Visible Light Communication(VLC). The VLC is the communication technology that can send data by blinking a fluorescent or LED using visible spectrum. That velocity of blinking can not be usually recognized by eyesight. Visible Light Communication using LED can be used in many fields. In the field of ITS(Intelligent Transportation System), Under construction on the road, Emitting traffic signs can be applied to transfer the vehicle information. In this paper, Emitting traffic signs in addition to the VLC give information about road condition, safety distance and the lane change. We design Communication protocol to provide safety service and verify protocol by experiment.

  • These days as there are growing the number of vessel sailing, diverse aquaculture industries, fishing works, and leisure activities in coastal area, the diverse communication services have been required for secure voyage information. This paper addresses the scheme for costal area service using mobile IP router with multiple interfaces. For this, this system has the wireless interfaces, such as WiBro, HSDPA, and WLAN that can provides vessels with divers communication services, and can provide the vessels with the diverse information communication services in real-time through wireless communication network installed in costal area. So this can provide the infrastructure that supplies the authorized seamless information communication services.

  • The radio communications by SSB and VHF transceivers are still used very efficiently in coast stations. The SSB and VHF equipments are very important to transmit and receive informations in the sea and the land. The communication system by the conventional SSB and VHF transceivers between a coast station and a terminal is an one-to-one system. In this dissertation, however, the conventional one-to-one system is expanded to one-to-multiple systems. Then, frequencies can be used effectively for distress, urgency, safety traffic. In addition, one to multi-number systems can be used to interrupt. When the ICS equipments are set up to the VHF transceiver. It is possible to communicate with ship in far distance the communication range can be enlarged. The line switching system by the ICS is to be remote-controlled by ASK modulated PTT signals and audio signals. An ICS can change a connection between terminal and transceiver through a circuit switching system at any time. For this purpose, the author has researched and developed a ASK transmission system, ICS system, control algorithm, multiprocessor system, and monitoring system. As a conclusion, the developed line switching control systems and equipments can be used effectively for maritime communication, military communication, fishery communication, etc.

  • At the present day, devices for measurement and control of data by wireless based computer have been generalized. The devices with low cost and high performance have been spotlighted. If Zigbee communication solution is used in dangerous places and places that can not in use wire communication, computer can process data without limitation. Zigbee communication solution is effective in power consumption as compared with RF or bluetooth and can use battery. System cost of Zigbee also is very low, so can install lots of nodes. The system made in this paper transmit by wireless many LMCs(Laser Measuring Control) of wireless transmission system for distance measurement and many slave Zigbee to a master Zigbee.

  • LIN(Local Interconnect Network) 통신은 CAN(Controller Area Network) 통신과 더불어 차량용 통신으로 많이 사용되고 있다. LIN 통신은 필요 성능의 수준이 높지 않은 장치 및 시스템이나 비용의 경제적인 측면에서 CAN 통신의 하부버스로 많이 사용되며 LIN 노드에 개수도 점차 늘어나고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 LIN통신으로 시스템 제어 및 모니터링 프로그램을 GUI(Graphic User Interface)로 제작한다면 시스템 상태의 디스플레이 및 모니터링이 수월해진다. 함수와 GUI로 제작되는 LabVIEW는 다른 텍스트 언어기반 개발 프로그램에 비해 설계 시간 단축 및 사후 관리도 쉽다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 LabVIEW로 제작한 IBS 모듈 기능 검사 장비개발을 통해 LIN 통신으로 송수신되는 데이터를 확인하고 모니터링, 그리고 설계가 용이하다는 것을 소개하고자 한다.
