금형변형을 고려한 성형 CAE에서의 스프링백 예측정확도 향상 (Improvement in Prediction Accuracy of Springback for Stamping CAE considering Tool Deformation)

  • An analysis procedure is proposed to improve the prediction accuracy of springback as well as to evaluate the structural stability of the tooling used for fabricating a side sill part from UHSS. The analysis couples the stamping analysis and the subsequent analysis of the tool structural. The deformation and stress results for the tool structure are obtained from the proposed analysis procedure. The results show that the amount of deformation and stresses are so high that the tool structure must be reinforced and the tooling design must consider structural stability. Springback is predicted with CAE in order to compare the prediction accuracy between the given tool geometry and the geometry from the structural analysis. The simulation results with the deformed tool can predict the experimental springback tendency accurately.

치과용 스케일러 금형의 분말사출성형 CAE 해석설계 (CAE Analysis of Powder Injection Molding Process for Dental Scaler Mold)

  • Powder Injection Molding(PIM) has recently been recognized as an advanced manufacturing technology for low-cost mass production of metal or ceramic parts of complicated geometry With this regards, design technology of dental scaler tip PIM mold, which has complex shape and small core pin (diameter=0.6mm), with the help of computer-aided analysis of powder injection molding process was developed. Computer-aided analysis for dental scaler tip mold was implemented by finite element method with non-Newtonian fluid, modified Cross model viscosity, PvT data of powder/binder mixture. Compter-aided analysis results, such as filling pattern, weldline formation, air vent position prediction were compared with experimental result, and eventually have been shown good agreement. The core pin (diameter=0.6mm) deflection analysis of dental scaler tip PIM mold during PIM filling process was also investigated before mold fabrication.

CAD와 유한요소해석을 연계한 금형 냉각문제의 설계최적화에 대한 연구 (A Study on CAD/CAE Integration for Design Optimization of Mold Cooling Problem)

  • In mechanical design, optimization procedures have mostly been implemented solely by CAE codes combined by optimization routine, in which the model is built, analyzed and optimized. In the complex geometries, however, CAD is indispensable tool for the efficient and accurate modeling. This paper presents a method to carry out optimization, in which CAD and CAE are used for modeling and analysis respectively and integrated in an optimization routine. Application Programming Interface (API) function is exploited to automate CAD modeling, which enables direct access to CAD. The advantage of this method is that the user can create very complex object in Parametric and automated way, which is impossible in CAE codes. Unigraphics and ANSYS are adopted as CAD and CAE tools. In ANSYS, automated analysis is done using codes made by a script language, APDL(ANSYS Parametric Design Language). Optimization is conducted by VisualDOC and IDESIGN respectively. As an illustrative example, a mold design problem is studied, which is to minimize temperature deviation over a diagonal line of the surface of the mold in contact with hot glass.

사출금형의 러너시스템 형상에 따른 충전불균형 유동해석 모델 (Flow Analysis of Filling Imbalance according to Runner Shapes in Injection Mold)

  • Almost all injection molds have multi-cavity runner system for mass production, which are designed with geometrically balanced runner system in order to accomplish filling balance between cavity to cavity during processing; However, even though geometrically balanced runner is used, filling imbalances have been observed. In these day, the CAE has been used widely in injection molding. However, CAE with fusion mesh can't indicate such as jetting, flow mark and filling imbalance in multi cavity mold. In this study, we investigated the filling imbalance according to runner shapes by CAE analysis. As a result in CAE, in case of binary branch runner system, filling imbalance was indicated between cavity to cavity, but the flow pattern of each cavity uniformed in unary branch runner system.

멀티 캐비티 실린더 기어 개발 (The Development of Multi-Cavity Cylindrical Gear)

  • 파워 윈도우 모터 조립부위에서 실린더 기어는 자동차 도어에서 중요한 부분이다. 이 연구는 대량 수입과 6 캐비티 금형 설계를 대체할 자체 제작 기술력 확보를 위해 수행되었다. 이 연구는 5가지 구체적 주제를 두고 작성되었다. 첫째, CAE를 이용해 시작품을 제작하고, 대량생산 제작을 위해 사전에 해석한다. 둘째, 대량생산 금형(2차원 및 3차원)을 설계한다. 셋째, 샘플 금형을 제작한다. 넷째, 3차원 설계제품을 시제작 후 측정한다. 다섯째, 데이터를 해석하고 금형을 수정한다. 이들 연구를 수행하면서 CAE를 사용한 제품샘플과 대량생산의 해석과 다수 캐비티의 샘플 금형의 제작의 연구가 성공적으로 수행되었다. 결과적으로, 핫런너를 사용하는 일점 게이트 및 6 캐비티가 파워 윈도우 모터 용 실린더 기어를 만드는데 가장 적합한 방법임을 알게 되었다.

불균일 측벽두께 Jar의 곡률반경에 따른 CAE 해석 (CAE Analysis on the Radius Curvature of Ununiformed wall-thickness Jar)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 곡률반경의 연속에 의하여 살 두께 차가 큰 사출성형품이 불균일한 수축에 의한 변형 발생에 대하여 연구하였다. SAN 및 PMMA 재질의 Jar에 대한 균일냉각구조와 최적성형조건을 CAE 해석에서 구하여 금형설계에 적용하고자 사출성형의 중요인자인 사출압력, 수지온도, 금형온도, 냉각조건 등을 Moldflow 프로그램에서 사출압력, 수지온도, 냉각속도 등에 의한 변형 및 불량현상을 분석하였고 이들을 극소화시킬 수 있는 냉각구조와 사이클 시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 사출성형조건을 제시하였다.
