Plane-Strain Analysis of the Stamping Process of Auto-Body Panel (차체판넬 프레스 성형공정의 평면변형해석)

  • The plane-strain stamping process is analyzed by a forming energy minimization method in order to obtain forming load, slip length and strain distribution in each step of punch stroke. All the developed programs are integrated into total CAD/CAE SYSTEM for the purpose of the practical usage in die design. The computed strain distribution and the amount of draw-in are compared with those of the actually developed panel It is found that there is a good agreement between theoretical and experimental results.

  • In this study, very accurate computational mechatronics method has been developed for typical N.C. machine model applying to manufacturing industry in these days. Computation analysis of high speed machine tools like N.C. machine needs consideration about mechatronical features because the machine shows close interaction between dynamic behavior of the mechanical structure, drives and numerical control. For this, nonlinear structural analysis tools based on FEM are linked numerical control program to control the dynamic behavior. In this study, we studied the dynamic feature of N.C. machine by using SAMCEF as nonlinear computational structural analysis tool and simulink as drivers.

  • A hydraulic breaker for construction machinery generally used for the destroying and disassembling of buildings, crashing road pavement, breaking rocks at quarry and so on. So the measurement of the impact energy of a hydraulic breaker is very important thing to prove its capability to manufacturers and customers. Therefore the prediction of impact energy in design process is very helpful to the most of breaker manufacturers. In this study, we carried on modeling and simulation of a hydraulic breaker to predict impact energy via commercial CAE software. The modeling and simulation of a hydraulic breaker was achieved with two parts. One is a hydraulic circuit analysis part via AMESim and the other is impact strain analysis part via ANSYS.

사출성형 자동평가 시스템의 개발

  • 과거 사출금형 설계 및 성형은 대부분의 단편적인 경험에 의존하여 왔으며 이는 단납기, 고품질화에의 대응에 있어서 가장 큰 문제점중의 하나로 인식되어 왔다. 그러나 최근에는 컴퓨터의 성능이 급격히 향상되고 보편화되면서 대기업을 선두로 한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션이 활발히 응용되고 있으며 이는 앞으로 더욱 활성화될 전망이다. 본 연구에서는 사출성형 자동평가 시스템을 개발하였으며 이는 전처리 모듈, CAE해석 모듈 및 자동분석 모듈, 후처리 모듈등으로 구성되어 있다. 본 시스템에서는 주입장치 설계 표준 DATA BASE가 구축되어 있으며 특히 설계자가 설계 및 성형조건에 대한 기준만 정의하면 그 이후의 모든 평가 및 최적조건이 자동으로 계산, 도출될 수 있도록 하였다. 이번에 개발한 시스템에서의 핵심기술은 수치해석을 응용한 고분자 가공공정해석기술, 최적화 기술, DATA BASE구축기술 그리고 컴퓨터 그래픽 기술 등으로 위에서 언급한 바와 같은 사용시스템이 갖고 있는 현장 활용시 문제점들을 근본적으로 해결하여 차별화 시킨 것이다.

  • An electromagnetic linear actuator is controlled precisely and securely and is useful in devices that require linear motion. The most commonly used method in the performance verification process for an electromagnetic actuator is finite element analysis that utilizes CAE. However, finite element analysis has the disadvantage that modeling and analysis consume a lot of time. Accordingly, lumped parameter analysis can be an alternative approach to the finite element method because of its computation iteration capability with fair accuracy. In this paper, the lumped parameter model and simulation results are presented. In addition, the results of the lumped parameter analysis are compared with those obtained from finite element analysis for verification.

  • Injection molding process was taken to manufacture DC motor case that surrounds DC motor used as automobile parts. Up to now, DC motor case has been made by the deep drawing process or bending process of metal materials. Simulations of filling, packing and cooling processes were done by CAE tool like Moldflow software. Optimal delivery system was decided from the analysis of flow balance, and packing and cooling analyses were performed by using the design of experiment to minimize the volumetric shrinkage of molded part and the temperature difference between mold and part.

  • This study provides a solution method for the inverse heat conduction problem based on a combination of a public domain CAE (computer aided engineering) software and a commercial CAO (computer aided optimization) software. The solver system has been implemented without any in-house coding. The proposed method is simple to implement. Moreover, it can be easily reproduced.

  • The design and manufacture of injection molded Sear with desired Properties is a costly process dominated by empiricism including the interactive modification of prototype toolings. In this paper, an interactive computer-based design system for injection molded gear is developed in order to realize the concept of rational design for the productivity and quality of mold making of a small plastic gear. The knowledge-based synthesis system being developed in this paper combines a rule-based expert system with analytical process simulation programs in a synergistical manner. Quick and logical evaluations on the design of injection molded gear can be made on the scientific analysis and the accumulated experts' knowledge.

  • 사출성형 문제는 열전달과 유체유동이 복합된 문제라고 할수 있다. 사출성형 공정은 충진(filling), 보압(packing) 및 냉각과정(cooling phase)으로 이루어 진다. 충진과정은 높은 점성의 Non-Newtonian유체가 몰드내의 캐버티로 사출됨으로써 이루어지며 플라스틱의 점성도는 플라스틱의 온도 및 유동속도와 관련이 크며 이 flow-rate는 점도와 더불어 변화한다. CAE 유동해석 프로그램은 유체의 흐름과 열전달을 이용하여 충진과정을 이해하는데 이용되고 있다. 본 고에서는 사출성형 과정 중 충진과정에 대한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 그 적용사례에 대하여 살펴본다.
