실시간 협업 설계를 위한 CAD 컨퍼런싱 시스템 개발 (Development of the CAD Conferencing System for Real-time Design Collaboration)

  • This paper presents a real-time collaborative system for distributed design. The aim of the system is to provide designers with a virtual workspace where they can collaborate and exchange their design knowledge in distributed environment. The system consists of two subsequent modules. One is for the visualization of design data including CAD data, documents, images, and the other is real-time collaboration module. They make it possible for distributed designers to review the design data collaboratively and to share their design knowledge. The system was implemented by using the Internet protocols such as TCP/IP and IP multicast on the peer-to-peer based network. An example is presented and discussed to validate the proposed system.

  • A CAD-based seamless design system for MEMS named DS/MEMS was developed which performs coupled-field analysis, optimal and robust design. DS/MEMS has been developed by means of integrating commercial codes and inhouse code-SolidWorks, FEMAP, ANSYS and CA/MEMS. This strategy results in versatility that means to include various analysis model, corresponding analyses and approximated design sensitivity analysis and user friendliness that design variables are taken to be selectable directly from a CAD model, that the problem is formulated under a window environment and that the manual job during optimization process is almost eliminated. DS/MEMS works on a parametric CAD platform, integrating CAD modeling, analysis, and optimization. Nonlinear programming algorithms, the Taguchi method, and response surface method are made available for optimization. One application problem is taken to illustrate the proposed methodology and show the feasibility of DS/MEMS as a practical tool.

서로 다른 프리미티브 집합을 사용하는 CAD 시스템 사이에 선박 의장 설계 데이터의 교환 (Ship Outfitting Design Data Exchange between CAD Systems Using Different Primitive Set)

  • Different CAD systems are used in ship outfitting design on different usage and purpose. Therefore, data exchanges between CAD systems are required from different formats. For data exchange, boundary representation standard formats such as IGES and ISO 10303 (STEP) are widely used. However, they present only B-rep representation. Because of different CAD systems have their own geometry format, data exchanges with design intend are difficult. Especially, Tribon and PDMS use primitives for express their geometry in ship outfitting design. However, Tribon primitives are represented their parameter by values that are non-parametric. Therefore, data size of catalogue library is bigger than different CAD system using parametric primitive representation. And that system has difficulty on data reprocessing. To solve that problem, we discuss about shape DB which contains design parameters of primitive for exchange Tribon primitives. And geometry data exchange between Tribon and Shape Database that defines based on PDMS scheme are specified using primitive mapping that can represent design intend.

  • HCI (Human Computer Interface)is important key of software design. Effectiveness and productivity of CAD software is creation is not study actively in architectural part. The results of this study \circled1 HCI of architectural modeling is demanded effective design of keypad and short key. \circled2 It is require that system reactions to be united in one interface in order to hold in check confusion of the information. \circled3 Intelligent interface for continuous update of 3D information is required.

설계 정보를 수용하는 새로운 CAD시스템의 프레임워크 (Framework of a New CAD System for Incorporating Design Information)

  • In this paper, we propose the framework of an integrated design system as a CAD system of a new concept that can incorporate the design information. Current CAD systems are powerful in representing the shape of a product with solid models but cannot provide the design information that is used or created in designing the product. Therefore an integrated design system is proposed to enable the storage and usage of the design information in addition to the shape manipulation. In order to represent the design information, we define element object that represents design element such as a part, a sub-assembly or an assembly by using object-oriented methodology. The element object carries various design information such as design parameters, documents, catalogues, functions, and behaviors as well as shapes. By using the stored information, the system can provide a designer with some functions to assist design activity such as interrogating necessary information, setting design parameters and goals, and constructing constraints among design elements. A mailing system is also constructed among element objects to assist a collaborative design. In addition, an evolutionary design method using genetic algorithms is realized within the proposed framework.

중소규모 건설회사 CAD 활용현황과 대학교육 방안 (Survey on CAD Softwares Used in Small Contractors and Improvement to College CAD Education)

  • 건축공학을 전공한 학생들이 보유해야할 CAD 활용능력을 조사하기 위해 제주지역 중소규모 건설회사를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 소규모 건설회사는 CAD 소프트웨어를 사용하여 기존 도면을 수정하고 있다. 또한 지방의 국립대학의 CAD 수업현황을 분석하였다. 기존의 CAD 수업은 4시간 또는 6시간으로 진행하고 있으며 AutoCAD를 주로 사용하고 있다. CAD 수업은 6시간 실습이 필요하다고 판단되며 2D 도면 작성이 주요 실습내용이 되어야 하고 3D 모델 작성도 수업에 편성되어야 한다. 수업의 결과를 평가할 수 있는 방법의 개선도 필요하며, 인터넷을 활용하거나 스마트폰을 이용한 실시간 피드백을 대안이 될 수 있다.

아이소-지오메트릭 형상 최적설계의 실험적 검증 (Experimental Validation of Isogeometric Optimal Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 아이소-지오메트릭 형상 최적설계 기법에서 얻은 CAD 정보를 직접 활용하여, 3D 프린터를 활용한 실험적 검증을 위한 시편을 제작하였다. 유한요소법에서는 요소망에 내재하는 기하학적인 근사가 응답과 설계민감도 해석에서 정밀도 문제를 발생시킨다. 더욱이 유한요소 기반 형상 최적화 과정에서는 CAD와의 정보교환이 필수적이나 그 과정에서 최적설계 정보의 손실이 발생할 수 있다. 아이소-지오메트릭 기법은 CAD에서 사용된 동일한 NURBS 기저함수와 조정점을 사용하므로 법선벡터와 곡률과 같은 엄밀한 기하학적 정보를 응답해석과 설계민감도 해석에 사용할 수 있다. 또한 최적설계 과정에서 CAD와 정보교환 없이 복잡한 형상을 손쉽게 변경할 수 있다. 그러므로 최적의 설계의 재료량을 실험적 검증을 위한 시편제작에 엄밀하게 반영할 수 있다. 굽힘 하중을 받는 단순지지 구조물에 대한 최적설계 및 실험적 검증을 통해 최적형상이 초기 형상에 비해 더 큰 강성을 가지며 실험결과와 수치 해석결과가 매우 잘 일치함을 보였다. 또한 인장력을 받는 유공판에 대한 형상 최적설계를 수행하였으며, 비접촉식 3차원 변형 측정 장치를 이용하여 초기설계에 비해 최적설계에서 구멍주변에서의 응력집중 현상이 완화됨을 확인하였다. 따라서 수치적인 방법을 활용한 최적설계가 실제 구조물에 대한 실험에서도 유효함을 입증하였다고 할 수 있다. 또한, 아이소-지오메트릭 최적설계 방법론이 기존의 유한요소법에 비해서 최적설계 결과를 제작하여 활용하는데 있어서도 훨씬 효율적이고 엄밀한 방법임을 보였다.

기계자수 CAD시스템을 활용한 자수 텍스타일 디자인 전개 (The Development of Embroidery Textile Design Using Machine Embroidery CAD System)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop machine embroidery textile designs for each technique that can be expressed using a single-headed computer embroidery sewing machine through a machine embroidery CAD system. For research, embroidery CAD utilized the Artistic digitizer, and the guillotine computer-mechanical magnetization machine used ELNA. The design concept was limited to portraits and relics of independence activists in six memorial halls built in Korea. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the machine embroidery texture, which could only be produced by industries in the past, can be expand in the infinite creative embroidery design area by enabling the digitalization of motif images and the simulation of machine embroidery techniques through various layout options. Second, in the development of machine embroidery textures, it was found that the setting of the width, height, axis ratio, stitch, object, path, length, density, layer order, etc. in embroidery CAD is a very important part of determining the completeness of the embroidery results. Third, mechanical embroidery textile designs, which can be represented by single-head computer machine embroidery machine were able to show colorful embroidery results that differs from the original image by using seven main techniques and five deep technique alone or in combination, according to the designer's intention.

스탬핑 금형의 라운딩 형상 최적화를 위한 CAD/CAE 모델 자동 생성 (Automatic Generation of CAD/CAE Model for a Stamping Die Rounding Optimization)

  • In order to reduce trial-and-errors in the die design and production, CAE systems for analysis of stamping tools have been introduced at the initial design stage recently. For optimal design, the CAE engineers may need to correct the meshes generated by automatic mesh generation programs. However, they may need help of CAD engineers as they are usually not skilled in manipulation of CAD systems. In order to get around these problems, automatic shell mesh modification method is proposed, which utilizes existing CAD/CAE package (in this study, I-DEAS) without user interaction. The developed method and optimization techniques are applied to a stamping die rounding optimization problem. The optimization results show that the manpower and the time required at virtual tryout can be reduced by using the developed systems.

국제표준기반의 건설도면정보 교환 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Construction Drawing Data Exchange Model for Information Interoperability Based on International Standards)

  • In the construction industry, construction process includes a variety of design stages with cooperation and regulation by many related disciplines. In addition, the construction market is growing and becoming more complex. With this characteristic, design information has become more and more complicated and difficult to manage by the simple and traditional data management methodology. In the practical field, although CAD has been widely available for the last ten years, related disciplines have not shared digital information efficiently. This paper suggests a construction CAD data exchange model that has been developed through investigation and analysis of Korean construction CAD practices and foreign CAD standards. Moreover, this paper investigates a CAD data exchange model using STEP to improve information availability and overcome the limit of CAD systems.
