Objectives: Vitamin C has various functions such as antioxidative effect and supporting absorption of iron (Fe). Aim of this present study was to provide vitamin C nutrition information and to briefly evaluate absorption interaction of vitamin C and Fe content of vitamin C emphasized products. Methods: Vitamin C emphasized foods including beverages, cereal, snacks, chocolate products, other cocoa products, and sugary products were examined by HPLC. Fe contents in samples after dry-ashing were examined by ICP. Results: Vitamin C content ranges in various products tested were the following: beverages (n=11) $20.15{\pm}0.08{\sim}845.41{\pm}6.07mg$, cereal (n=11) $52.50{\pm}0.23{\sim}262.50{\pm}0.07mg$, snacks (n=1) $50.00{\pm}0.25mg$, chocolate products (n=1) $311.73{\pm}2.44mg$, other cocoa products (n=1) $311.73{\pm}2.44mg$, other sugary products (n=2) $52.50{\pm}0.23{\sim}262.50{\pm}0.07mg$. Vitamin C (n=27) analysis values ranged from 82 to 450% of the labeled value. Vitamin C content in vitamin C emphasized food (n=6) was estimated 7.7 times~56.6 times more than Fe content. Conclusions: Analyzed samples ranged more than 80% of the labeled value in vitamin C emphasized products, which complied with food labeling regulation. But, beverages (n=3), cereal (n=4), chocolate products (n=1) were 2 times more than the labeled value. To provide accurate nutrition information, food manufactures should supervise nutrition labeling and understand the interactions between nutrients. Also, consumer should decide about the adequate amount of nutrient intake by thoroughly checking nutrition labeling.
An experiment was conducted for extension of shelf-life of cooked squid (Todarodes pacificus) using modified atmosphere packaging. The products were packed in a Ny/PE/LLDPE (0.015/0.045/0.040 mm) laminated film with air, vacuum, CO2 gas, and N2 gas, respectively, and then stored at 5$^{\circ}C$ and 2$0^{\circ}C$. Keeping qualities of the products were investigated by measuring moisture content, H, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), viable cell count, thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, peroxide value (POV) and color value. Good qualities of the products stored at 5$^{\circ}C$were maintained at least 9 days, 11 days, more than 35 days and 24 days in air, vacuum, CO2 gas and N2 gas packaging products, respectively. In cases of 2$0^{\circ}C$ storage, however, the shelf-lives of all the products were only one day. The shelf-life extension of the products were observed in CO2 ga>N2 gas>vacuum>air packaging in order.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the customer service factors and evaluation of consumer satisfaction on the purchase through the C2C E- commerce, focusing on the fashion goods. 190 college students who have purchased products via C2C E-commerce were surveyed. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, 1-test, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression were used. As the results, 50.5% of respondents have purchased fashion products through C2C. Out of 4 C2C characteristics factors. there was statistically the significant difference in only 'entertainment factor' between males and females. All five SERVQUAL's factors used for measuring service factors in this study were correlated to customer satisfactions scores. Also. results of multiple regression revealed that assurance, empathy, and reliability were significantly to related to customer satisfaction. Based on these results, fashion marketing strategy for C2C development would be suggested.
A series of experiments were conducted on dental denture base resins for their antibiosis. They were also compared in terms of physical and mechanical characteristics, which led to the following results: 1. As for bacterial deposition, the old products showed a wide range of distribution, while those products containing C. S. had restraints. 2. Among the products containing C. S., those ones of 7, 12 and 20% all had restraints of similar size to slop further bacterial growth. In the meanwhile, the old products had only small-size restraints for bacterial growth. 3. The following changes were observed in the aspect physical characteristics: There were no significance between the old products and the C. S. products. Thus, as for compressive force, the average${\pm}$standard deviation of the old products was $27.4083.{\pm}1.7397$, and those C. S. products of 20% showed the similar $27.5600{\pm}.1976$. In addition, there were no significance between the old products and those ones containing C. S. in terms of tensile force. The tensile force of the old products was $114.5600{\pm}.8916$ in average${\pm}$standard deviation, while there was no differences among the C. S. products of 7, 12, and 20% in that matter.
NAD(P)H:quinone reductase (QR) is one of the protective phase II enzymes against toxicity that accomplishes the capacity of detoxification by modulating the effects of mutagens and carcinogens. The detoxification mechanism is that quinone reductase promotes the 2-electron reduction of quinones to hydroquinones which are less reactive. This study is to search new inducers of quinone reductase from natural products, which can be used as cancer chemopreventive agents. Plant extracts were evaluated by using quinone reductase generating system With Hepa 1c1c7 murine hepatoma cell lines for enzyme inducing properties and crystal violet staining method for the measurement of cytotoxicity provoked. We have tested approximately 106 kinds of natural products after partition into n-hexane, ethyl acetate and aqueous layers from 100% methanol extracts of natural products. The ethyl acetate fractions of Vitex rotundifolia $(fruits,\;2FC:\;12.7\;{\mu}g/ml)$, Cnidium officinale $(aerial\;parts,\;2FC:\;10.5\;{\mu}g/ml)$, Chrysanthemum sinese $(flowers,\;2FC:\;17.4{\mu}g/ml)$ and the hexane fractions of Angelica gigas $(roots,\;2FC:\;13.2\;{\mu}g/ml)$, Smilax china $(roots,\;2FC:\;l1.9\;{\mu}g/ml)$, Sophora flavescens $(roots,\;2FC:\;16.3\;{\mu}g/ml)$ revealed the significant induction of quinone reductase in a murine hepatic Hepa 1c1c7 cell culture system.

This study was conducted to evaluate the characterization of the pyrolysis products of propylene glycol(PG) and glycerine alone and together with tobacco. The weight change of the samples during the pyrolysis was measured by a thermal analyzer(STD-2960). The pyrolysis products were determined by GC/MS after pyrolysis using a curie-point pyrolyzer(CPP, $220^{\circ}C,\;420^{\circ}C,\;650^{\circ}C,\;and\;920^{\circ}C$) and a double-shot pyrolyzer(DSP, $220^{\circ}C,\;420^{\circ}C,\;650^{\circ}C,\;and\;800^{\circ}C$), respectively. The pyrolysis products from tobacco with and without the addition of PG($2\%$) and glycerine($2\%$ were assayed for its pyrolytic behavior. The results showed that a dramatic change in weight of PG and glycerine was observed at $175^{\circ}C\;and\;249^{\circ}C$, respectively. PG and glycerine showed different patterns for their pyrolysis products according to the method of pyrolysis. Namely, the change rate in pyrolysis with DSP was much higher than that of CPP at above $650^{\circ}C$. The major pyrolysis products of PG were propene, acetaldehyde, propanal, and acetol; the major pyrolysis products of glycerine were 2-propenal, 2-propenol, acetol, and acetic acid. In the pyrolysis experiments of tobacco added PG and glycerine, the pyrolysis products of PG and glycerine weren't detected additionally, except for diethyleneglycol diacetate. From these results, it can be concluded that the PG and glycerine added to tobacco would not be expected to pyrolyse extensively during smoking.
We estimate the stable rank of twisted crossed products of $C^{*}-algebras$ by topological Abelian groups. As an application we estimate the stable rank of twisted crossed products of $C^{*}-algebras$ by solvable Lie groups. In particular, we obtain the stable rank estimate of twisted group $C^{*}-algebras$ of solvable Lie groups by the (reduced) dimension and (generalized) rank of groups.

Synthesize of anatase type $TiO_2$ from $TiCl_4$ solution was studied. KOH was used on dehydration reaction of $TiCl_4$ solution. Products of dehydration reaction was calcined at 300, 500, 700, 900, $1000^{\circ}C$ during 1hour. Calcined products was studied by XRD, DTA, and FT-IR for effect of calcined temperature. The results are as follow. \circled1 Product pf dehydration reaction at$ 90^{\circ}C$ was semicrystalline anatase type $TiO_2$ because it has a peak vary broad and low at the position of anatase crysral XRD pattern. \circled2 Pure titanium oxide semi-crystalline products were produced at acid pH condition which convert to anatase crystal at $300^{\circ}C$ and to rutile crystal at $700^{\circ}C$. \circled3 The chemical composition of semicrystalline products which was produce at alkali pH conditions, were potasium titante. Potasium-titanate semi-crystalline products crystallized at 630~$640^{\circ}C$ \circled4 The transition temperature of potassium dopped titanium oxide semi-crystalline products was increased with the contents of potasium. \circled5 The optimum synthesise condition of anatase $TiO_2$ products from $TiCl_4$ and KOH are pH 3~5 and $300^{\circ}C$ calcination.
Vacuum ultraviolet photolysis of ethyl bromide was studied at 104.8-106.7 nm (11.4-11.6 eV) in the pressure range of 0.2-18.6 torr at $25^{\circ}$ using an argon resonance lamp with and without additives, i.e., NO and He. Since the ionization potential of $CH_3CH_2Br$ is lower than the photon energy, the competitive processes between the photoionization and the photodecomposition were also investigated. The observations indicated that 50% of absorbed light leads to the former process and the rest to the latter one. In the absence of NO the principal reaction products for the latter process were found to be $CH_4, C_2H_2, C_2H_4, C_2H_6, and C_3H_8$. The product quantum yields of these reaction products showed two strikingly different phenomena with an increase in reactant pressure. The major products, $C_2H_4$ and $C_2H_6$, showed positive effects with pressure whereas the effects on minor products were negative in both cases, i.e., He and reactant pressures. Addition of NO completely suppresses the formation of all products except $C_2H_4$ and reduces the $C_2H_4$ quantum yield. These observations are interpreted in view of existence of two different electronically excited states. The initial formation of short-lived Rydberg transition state undergoes HBr molecular elimination and this state can across over by collisional induction to a second excited state which decomposes exclusively by carbon-bromine bond fission. The estimated lifetime of the initial excited state was ${\sim}4{\times}10^{-10}$ sec. The extinction coefficient for $CH_3CH_2Br$ at 104.8-106.7 nm and $25{\circ}$ was determined to be ${varepsilon} = (1/PL)ln(I_0/I_t) = 2061{\pm}160atm^{-1}cm6{-1}$ with 95% confidence level.
Alpha-tocopherol was thermally oxidized and degraded at high temperatures and the resulting products were chromatographically separated and identified by LC-MS. Alpha-tocopherol dissolved in glycerol was heated at 200^{\circ}C for 30 min. The thermal products were separated by hexane extraction and analyzed by HPLC using a reversed phase $\mu$-Bondapak $C_{18}-column$ with two kinds of elution solvents: a mixture of acetonitrile and methanol (3:2), and of acetonitrile, methanol, 2-propanol, chloroform and methylene chloride (3:2:5:0.5:0.5) in a gradient mode. The isolated thermal. products of alpha-tocopherol were more viscous than alpha-tocopherol, and dark brown in color. Major thermal degradation products of alpha-tocopherol were identified by LC-MS, and the structures of thermal products were proposed. Alpha-tocopherol and its thermal degradation products were degraded into fragments, mainly at the non-aromatic parts. The degradation products of alpha-tocopherol. were combined with oxidized product (tocopherylquinone) to make thermal. products through dimerization.
