생강의 비닐하우스 재배가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Rhizome Size and Planting Space on the Growth and Yield or Ginger(Zingiber officinale Rosc.) in Greenhouse Cultivation)

  • 비닐하우스에서 생강재배시 종강의 크기와 재식거리가 생강의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 비닐하우스 내의 기온은 노지에 비하여 평균 9$^{\circ}C$ 높았으며, 지온은 평균 2-4$^{\circ}C$ 높았다. 하우스 재배는 노지재배에 비하여 초장, 엽면적, 경수, 괴경 수량이 크게 증가하였다. 하우스에서의 재식거리 30$\times$30cm에서 근경수량은 노지보다 121-183%의 증수 효과가 있었다. 60$\times$30cm의 재식거리구에서는 재식거리 30$\times$30cm구에 비하여 감소하였으나 노지재배에 비하여 76-82%증수되었다. 단위면적당 근경수량은 재식 밀도가 30$\times$30cm이고, 종구의 크기가 40g 일 때(4,631kg/10a)가장 많았다.

서울市 步道와 街路樹밑의 植生에 관한 分析 (Analysis of Vegetation on the Pavements and under the Street Trees in Seoul)

  • Analysis of vegetation on the pavements and under the trees of streets in Seoul city were investigated from July to November 1989. All of the vascular herbs were 9 orders, 13 families, 30 genera, 37 species and 1 forma. Species diversity and evenness index were higher on the pavements than under the trees of streets. Eragrostis multicaulis with C-4 pathway was a dominant species, and next orders of importace values were Eleusine indica(C-4), Digitaria sanguinalis(C-4), Taraxacum officinale(C-3) and Erigeron annus(C-3). On the pavements and under the trees of streets, light intensity and surface temperature were very high, Also, these sites were affected by many kinds of human interferences. Therefore, it was an example of adaptation to specific ecological environments that C-4 plats were more dominant than C-3, growth forms of C-3 plants were rosette or prostrate, and annual or biennial plants were distributed in these studied sites. Generally, fruits types were grains, achens and capsules. Seeds were very small and some had appendages such as pappus.

일천궁재배지(日川芎裁培地)의 효율적(效率的) 잡초방제(雜草防除) 방법(方法) (Weed Control in the Field of Cnidium officinale Makino)

  • 일천궁재배시(日川芎栽培時) 효율적(效率的)인 잡초방제방법(雜草防除方法)과 제초제약량수준별(除草劑藥量水準別) 제초효과(除草效果)를 검토(檢討)하고자 시험(試驗)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 처리방법별(處理方法別) 4월5일 정식후 천궁의 출현(出現)은 C.D.U. +Ethalfluralin EC+백색비닐 피복 처리구가 가장 빠르고 기타 흑색(黑色)비닐 및 관행재배구(慣行栽培區)는 비교적(比較的) 늦었으나 4월 26일경에는 100% 출현(出現)하였다. 2. 재배방법별(栽培方法別) 생육(生育) 초기(初期)에는 완효성복합비료+비닐피복구가 초장(草長)이 길고 주당(株當) 분지수(分枝數)가 많았으나 후기(後期)에는 유의성(有意性)이 없었고 수확기(收穫期)의 노두수(蘆頭數)는 관행재배구(慣行栽培區)와 C.D.U.+흑색비닐피복구가 많았다. 3. 정식후(定植後) 60일에 처리별(處理別) 제초방제(除草防除)는 흑색비닐 멀칭재배구와 Ethalfluralin EC+백색비닐멀칭구는 100%, Ethalfluralin EC는 99.5%를 보였다. 4. Pedimethalin GR의 약량(藥量) 수준별(水準別) 시험결과(試驗結果) 생육(生育)은 처리가 유의성(有意性)이 없었고 약해증상(藥害症狀)은 나타나지 않았으나 방제효과(防除效果)는 10a당 4.5kg이상 살포구(撒布區)에서 $93.7{\sim}97.3%$ 방제가(防除價)를 보여 기준량 3.0kg/10a의 방제가 91.8%와는 유의성이 인정(認定)되었다.

민들레의 부위별 영양성분 함량 비교 (A Study of the Nutritional Composition of the Dandelion by Part (Taraxacum officinale))

  • Many studies have presented results about the antioxidative and antimicrobial activities of Dandelions (Taraxacum officinale). There has yet to be a study which makes comparisons of nutrients based on the parts of the Dandelion. To identify the nutrient composition by part of dandelion, nutrient contents were analyzed. Dandelions were taken from Songpa-gu in Seoul and the nutrient composition of the flower, leaf and root were measured. The nutrient content of each part was analysed by using the method developed by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC). The proximate components(moisture, protein, fat, fiber, ash, and carbohydrates), minerals and vitamins of the dandelion were analysed. The nutrient composition of the dandelions showed many significant differences among the parts when the differences were determined by using Duncan's multiple range test. The leaf contains more protein, ash, Ca, K, Mg, Zn, vitamin A, B$_1$, B$_2$, and C than the other parts. The root has much more fiber, carbohydrate, P and Fe content. The results demonstrate that dandelions could be used as a food source supplement for fiber, Ca, Fe and vitamin B$_2$ which are common nutritional deficiencies in Korea. It is recommended that more research for other bio-functional factors besides nutrients composition is needed to enhance the utilization of the dandelion.

"방약합편(方藥合編)" 수록(收錄) 처방(處方) 내(內)의 약물(藥物) 조합 빈도(頻度) 연구 (A study on the frequencies of medicinal herb combinations in the prescriptions of "Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)")

  • Through analyzing the frequencies of medicinal herb combinations in the prescriptions of "Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)", we could understand the characteristics of prescription composition and author's medical thoughts. So we conducted this study that analyze combination of 324 medicinal herbs in 467 prescriptions, and found meaningful combinations of 5,045. Among these, the most meaningful combination is the one of 10 herbs, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer, Angelica gigas Nakai, Ziziphus jujube Mille, Atractylodes japonica Koidzumi, Poria cocas Wolf, Zingiber officinale, Rehmanniae radix preparata, Cinnamomum loureirii, Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer, Astragalus membranaceus. This combination is Sibjeondaebo-tang(Shiquandabu-tang) without Cnidium officinale and Paeonia japonica which compose Samul-tang(Siwu-tang). It means this combination is kind of modified Sibjeondaebo-tang(Shiquandabu-tang), which is more effective in tonifying qi than tonifying blood. Prescriptions of "Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)" involve herbs mostly used to improve weak and frail health and the herbs which are more effective in tonifying qi than tonifying blood. Through this study, we know the author' s one of medical view points on tonifying qi and blood, attaching importance to tonifying qi relatively to tonifying blood.

천궁(川芎), 머위, 황련(黃連) 추출물 조성의 $Ca^{2+}$ 유입 억제를 통한 혈관이완 효능 (Effects of Cnidium officinale, Petasites japonicus, Coptis chinensis Extract Mixture on Vasodilation)

  • This study was performed to investigate a vasodilatory efficacy and its underlying mechanisms of the mixture of Cnidium officinale, Petasites japonicus and Coptis chinensis (CPC), CPC relaxed rat aortic vascular strips in endothelium-independant manner precontracted with phenylephrine or KCI(50mM), but the magnitude of relaxation was greater in KCI induced contraction. L-NAME, iNOS inhibitor, and methylen blue(MB), cGMP inhibitor, did not attenuate the relaxation responses of CPC. Furthermore, the contraction by increaseing $Ca^{2+}$ concentration (0.3-10.0mM) to a $Ca^{2+}$-free high $K^+$ (60mM) was significantly reduced by CPC pretreatment. These results suggest that the relaxation effect of CPC is related with the block of $Ca^{2+}$ influx via $Ca^{2+}$ channel.

생강 페이스트의 저장 안정성 (Storage Stability of Ginger(Zingiber officinale Roscoe) Paste)

  • Storage stability of ginger paste product was investigated from the standpoint of the inhibition of nonenzymatic browning and loss of gingerol contents. For the experimentations, control, 0.04% of N-acetyl-L-cysteine in ginger paste(NAcCys), and combination treatment of NAcCys, 0.92 of water activity and 6.30 of pH in ginger paste (mixed treatment) were stored at 3$0^{\circ}C$ for 40 days and analyzed for browning and gingerol contents. In addition the changes in sugars, organic acids, ascorbic acids, amino acids, and sensory quality were determined. The results revealed that the mixed treatment agent was effective in preventing both nonenzymatic browning and loss of gingerol contents. The inhibition by combination treatment might be resulted from the control of radical formations by sulfhydryl groups of NAcCys and the increase of diffusion resistance in lower water activity. Browning development and total gingerol contents were found to be correlated to some physicochemical characteristics of ginger paste; that is, browning development to amino acid and color value in sensory evaluation, and total gingerol contents to flavor in sensory evaluation.

생강의 약물대사효소 CYP3A4 저해 성분 (The Inhibitory Constituents from the Ginger on a Drug Metabolizing Enzyme CYP3A4)

  • Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is widely used as a common condiment for a variety of foods and beverages. In addition to its extensive utilization as a spice, the fresh or the processed rhizome is a useful crude drug in traditional Chinese medicine. It is considered to possess stomachic, carminative, stimulant, diuretic and antiemetic properties. Chemical studies on the pungent principles of ginger have been carried out by a number of investigators, and 6-gingerol and 6-shogaol as a major pungent substance have been isolated. In this study, the constituents inhibiting a drug metabolizing enzyme CYP3A4 from ginger were investigated. CYP3A4 is responsible for drug metabolism as heme-containing monooxygenases. As a result of experiment, 10-gingerol (lC$_{50}$ 5.75$\mu$M) isolated from EtOAc extract of ginger showed remarkable inhibitory activity compared to 6-gingerol ($IC_{50}$/ 14.56 $\mu$M) and zingerone ($IC_{50}$/ 379.63 $\mu$M). This paper describes the isolation, structure elucidation, and CYP3A4 inhibitory activity of these compounds. The structure of the compounds were identified by instrumental analysis such as LC-mass spectrometer and NMR.R.

생강(生薑) 추출물의 위장관 기능개선 및 체온저하 억제효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (Effect on Promoting Gastrointestinal Function and Inhibiting of Decreasing Body Temperature of Ginger Extracts(Zingiber Officinale))

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of promoting gastrointestinal function and inhibiting of decreasing body temperature of ginger extract(Zingiber officinale) in rats. In order to elucidate the gastrointestinal function and inhibiting effect of body temperature of native ginger and improved ginger, water extracts of ginger were orally administrated into rats. The results are as follows: The gastrointestinal transit time was significantly decreased in native ginger(7.66hrs) and improved ginger(7.72hrs) extract administrated groups compare to control group(8.44hrs). The mean red faecal weight was increased in native ginger(30.6%) and improved ginger(31.1%) extract administrated groups compare to control group(24.9%) for 24hrs. Inhibiting effect of decreasing body temperature induced by serotonin was increased in native ginger($1.116^{\circ}C$) and improved ginger($1.416^{\circ}C$) extract administrated groups compare to positive control group($0.384^{\circ}C$) during 40 minutes. Gastrin and CGRP immunoreactive density was more strongly expressed in native ginger and improved ginger extract administrated groups compare to control group. Serotonin immunoreactive density was more weakly expressed in native ginger and improved ginger extract administrated groups compare to control group. These results suggest that ginger extracts may enhance physiological activity such as gastrointestinal motility, protection of mucosa and gastric acid secretion in gastrointestinal tracts, and inhibits decreasing body temperature

약용식물(藥用植物) 추출액(抽出液)의 발아억제효과(發芽抑制效果)와 관련화합물(關聯化合物) 탐색(探索) (Inhibitory Effects of Medicinal Plant Extracts and Identification of Inhibitory Substances)

  • 시호(柴胡)를 포함(包含)한 21종(種) 약용식물(藥用植物)의 여러추출액(抽出液)이 벼, 피, 상치의 발아(發芽)에 미치는 영향(影響)과 이들이 함유(含有)한 phenolic compounds 와 지방산(脂肪酸) 및 유기산(有機酸)의 구성(構成)과 함량(含量)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 공시약용식물(供試藥用植物)의 수용(水溶) 및 알코올추출액(抽出液)의 발아억제효과(發芽抑制效果)는 상치에 대(對)해 현저(顯著)하여 공시재료중(供試材料中) 석창포(石菖蒲), 천궁(川芎), 부자(附子), 시호(柴胡), 생강(生薑)당귀(當歸), 산약(山藥), 아무(莪茂)의 수용추출(水溶抽出) 5%는 상치의 발아(發芽) 및 생육(生育)을 90% 이상(以上) 억제(抑制)하였고, 향부자(香附子), 천남성(天南星), 석창포(石菖蒲), 천궁(川芎), 시호(柴胡), 부자(附子), 아무(莪茂), 독활(獨活), 산약(山藥), 조약(鳥藥), 작약(芍藥)의 알코올추출액(抽出液) 2%는 상치 의 발아(發芽) 및 생육(生育)을 95% 이상 억제(抑制)하였다. 2. 추출용매(抽出溶媒)를 달리한 결과(結果) 공시재료(供試材料)의 용매(溶媒)에 따른 억제정도(柳制程度)는 차이(差異)를 보여 ethanol, ether, aceton, chloroform 의 순(順)을 나타냈으나 공시재료(供試材料) 모두 같은 경향(傾向)을 나타내지는 않았다. 3. 공시약용식물(供試藥用植物)로부터 분리(分離) 동정(同定)된 phenolic compounds 의 양(量)은 행인(杏仁) 30.6013 mg/g, 초조(草鳥) 29.1008 mg/g, 천궁(川芎) 27.2947 mg/g 순(順)으로 많았고 발아억제효과(發芽抑制效果)는 이들의 양(量)뿐만 아니라 구성(構成) phenolic compounds의 종류(種類)와 밀접(密接)한 관련(關聯)이 있는 것으로 추정(推定)된다. 4. 공시재료(供試材料)의 지방산(脂肪酸) 및 유기산함량(有機酸含量)과 구성(構成)도 억제효과(抑制效果)와 다소(多少) 관련(關聯)이 있는 것으로 나타마 억제효과(抑制效果)가 높았던 천궁(川芎)은 24.10 mg/g의 지방산(脂肪酸)과 21.04 mg/g 의 유기산(有機酸)을 함유(含有)하고 있었다. 특히 발아억제효과(發芽抑制效果)가 높았던석창포(石菖蒲), 천궁(川芎), 시호(柴胡) 등(等)은 oleic, linoleic, linolenic 같은 불포화지방산(不飽和脂肪酸)을 다량(多量) 함유(含有)하고 있었다.
