Recently, there has been significant interest in structural health monitoring for civil engineering applications. In this research, a specially designed tendon, proposed by embedding FBG sensors into the center king cable of a 7-wire strand tendon, was applied for long-term health monitoring of tensile forces on a ground anchor. To make temperature independent sensors, the effective temperature compensation of FBG sensors must be considered. The temperature sensitivity coefficient ${\beta}^{\prime}$ of the FBG sensors embedded tendon was successfully determined to be $2.0{\times}10^{-5}^{\circ}C^{-1}$ through calibrated tests in both a model rock body and a laboratory heat chamber. Furthermore, the obtained result for ${\beta}^{\prime}$ was formally verified through the ground temperature measurement test, expectedly. As a result, the ground temperature measured by a thermometer showed good agreement compared to that measured by the proposed FBG sensor, which was calibrated considering to the temperature sensitivity coefficient ${\beta}^{\prime}$. Finally, four prototype ground anchors including two tension ground anchors and two compression ground anchors made by replacing a tendon with the proposed smart tendon were installed into an actual slope at the Yeosu site. Tensile forces, after temperature compensation was taken into account using the verified temperature sensitivity coefficient ${\beta}^{\prime}$ and ground temperature obtained from the Korean Meteorological Administration (KMA) have been monitored for over one year, and the results were very consistent to those measured from the load cell, interestingly.

In this paper, we proposed a blind watermarking algorithm to apply to the rapid prototyping system. The 3D mesh model is used in the step of the CAD modeling before the making of the prototype system of the rapid prototyping system. STL type mesh modeling which is used in this system reduces the error of the system and improves the accuracy of the system. In the step of the CAD modeling, some transformations which do not change the model accuracy are used, but some transformations which change the model accuracy are not used because the mesh model error is related to the accuracy of the prototype system. Most watermarking algorithms embedded a specific random noise as the watermark information into the model. These kinds of the algorithms are not proper to the 3D model watermarking. The proposed algorithm can be used for the accurate prototyping system because it does not change the model after the watermark embedding This means it can be used for the copyright marking and the data integrity.

In this paper, we propose a new invisible digital watermarking scheme based on wavelet transform using singular value decomposition. Embedding process is started by decomposing the lowest frequency band image with 3${\times}$3 block among which we define the watermark block chosen by a key set; entropy and condition number of the block. A watermark is embedded in the singular values of each watermark blocks. This provides a robust watermarking in lowest possible time-frequency domain. To detect the watermark, we are locally modeling an attack as 3${\times}$3 matrices on the watermark blocks. Combining with the SVD and the attack matrices, we estimate watermark set corresponding to the watermark blocks. In each watermark block, we determine an optimal watermark which is justified by the T-testing. A numerical experiment shows that the proposed watermarking scheme efficiently detects the watermarks from several JPEG attacks.

MPEG/Audio decoder for mobile multimedia systems requires low power consumption. Implementations of AV decoder using a single RISC processor often need high power consumption owing to cash-miss in case of insufficient cash memory. In this paper, we present a MPEG/Audio decoder for mobile handset applications and implement it on a RISC processor embedding a minimized DSP accelerator. Audio decoding algorithm is splined into two parts; computation intensive and control intensive parts. Those parts we, respectively, allocated to DSP and RISC core, which are designed to run in parallel to increase the processing efficiency. The proposed system implements MP3 and AAC decoders at l7MHz and 24MHz clocks, which are reductions of 48% and 40% of complexities in comparison with implementations on a single RISC processor. The proposed method is adequate for mobile multimedia applications with insufficient cash memory.

With the development of bio computing technology, DNA watermarking to do as a medium of DNA information has been researched in the latest time. However, DNA information is very important in biologic function unlikely multimedia data. Therefore, the reversible DNA watermarking is required for the host DNA information to be perfectively recovered. This paper presents a reversible DNA watermarking using least square based prediction error expansion for noncodng DNA sequence. Our method has three features. The first thing is to encode the character string (A,T,C,G) of nucleotide bases in noncoding region to integer code values by grouping n nucleotide bases. The second thing is to expand the prediction error based on least square (LS) as much as the expandable bits. The last thing is to prevent the false start codon using the comparison searching of adjacent watermarked code values. Experimental results verified that our method has more high embedding capacity than conventional methods and mean prediction method and also makes the prevention of false start codon and the preservation of amino acids.

${Cachin}^{[1]}$ defined the security of steganography theoretically at first, then ${Katzenbeisser}^{[2]}$ and ${Hopper}^{[3]}$ also discussed it on the different aspects. Unfortunately, because many steganographic systems couldnt overcome the statistical gap between a stego-cover and a pure cover, the secure steganography hasn' been evaluated yet. By the effectivel steganalysis algorithm, statistical test which was suggested by Westfel $d^{[4]}$, the attacker Wendy could select the stego-covers out of suspicious covers. Our newly developed algorithm which minimizes the changes of a pure cover by using the block cipher withstands a statistical test and has a similar embedding capacity in comparison with a simple LSB substitution steganography.
This paper has focused on presenting vibration analysis of trapezoidal sandwich plates with a damaged core and FG wavy CNT-reinforced face sheets. A damage model is introduced to provide an analytical description of an irreversible rheological process that causes the decay of the mechanical properties, in terms of engineering constants. An isotropic damage is considered for the core of the sandwich structure. The classical theory concerning the mechanical efficiency of a matrix embedding finite length fibers has been modified by introducing the tube-to-tube random contact, which explicitly accounts for the progressive reduction of the tubes' effective aspect ratio as the filler content increases. The First-order shear deformation theory of plate is utilized to establish governing partial differential equations and boundary conditions for the trapezoidal plate. The governing equations together with related boundary conditions are discretized using a mapping-generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) method in spatial domain. Then natural frequencies of the trapezoidal sandwich plates are obtained using GDQ method. Validity of the current study is evaluated by comparing its numerical results with those available in the literature. After demonstrating the convergence and accuracy of the method, different parametric studies for laminated trapezoidal structure including carbon nanotubes waviness (0≤w≤1), CNT aspect ratio (0≤AR≤4000), face sheet to core thickness ratio (0.1 ≤ ${\frac{h_f}{h_c}}$ ≤ 0.5), trapezoidal side angles (30° ≤ α, β ≤ 90°) and damaged parameter (0 ≤ D < 1) are carried out. It is explicated that the damaged core and weight fraction, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) waviness and CNT aspect ratio can significantly affect the vibrational behavior of the sandwich structure. Results show that by increasing the values of waviness index (w), normalized natural frequency of the structure decreases, and the straight CNT (w=0) gives the highest frequency. For an overall comprehension on vibration of laminated trapezoidal plates, some selected vibration mode shapes were graphically represented in this study.

This study was performed to evaluate joint behavior of prestressed concrete(PSC)-steel mixed girders through the flexural test of 14 beams according to embedded length, amount of reinforcing steel, stud arrangement, and prestressing force. All test beams were failed by turns of desertion of reinforcing steel, stud, and steel plate. From test results, prestressing force was more effective on performance of connection than stud arrangement and reinforcing steel. And the spacing of stud is also more effective than embedding length. This paper also presented 3D nonlinear analysis considering the slip of composite section as well as the static load tests of PSC-steel mixed girders. According to the slip modulus, the nonlinear analysis showed that the behavior of hybrid girders could be divided into three parts as full-composite, partial-composite and non-composite. However, the experimental results showed that the PSC-steel hybrid girders with shear connectors took the part of partial composite action in ultimate load stage. In addition, it was founded that stud shear connectors and welded reinforcements were contributed to improve the ultimate strength of hybrid girders for about 20%.
A 3-Dimensional engine in a mobile embedded device is divided into a C-based OpenGL/ES and a Java-based JSR184 which interprets and executes a byte code in a real-time. In these two standards, the JSR184 supporting Java objects uses more processor resources than an OpenGL/ES and thus has a constraint when it is used in an embedded device with a limited computing power. On the other hand, 3-Dimensional contents employed in existing personal computer are created by utilizing advantages of Java and secured numerous users in European market, due to the good quality in contents and extensive service in a commercial network, GSM. Because of the reason, a mobile embedded device used in a GSM network needs a JSR184 which can provide an existing Java-based 3-Dimensional contents without extra conversion processes, but the current version of Java-based 3-Dimensional engine has drawbacks in application to commercial products because it requires more computing power than the mobile embedded device. This paper proposes a binding technique with the advantages of Java objects to improve a processing speed of 3-Dimensional contents in limited resources of a mobile embedded device. The technique supports a JSR184 standard interface in the upper layer to utilize 3-Dimensional contents using Java, employs a different code-conversion language, KNI(Kilo Native Interface), in the middle layer to interface between OpenGL/ES and JSR184, and embodies an OpenGL/ES standard in the lower layer. The validity of the binding technique is demonstrated through a simulator and a FPGA embedding an ARM.

Multi-layer ceramic capacitors as decoupling capacitor were fabricated by dielectric composition with a high dielectric constant. The fabricated decoupling capacitors were embedded in the PCB of the 10G RF transceiver module and evaluated for the characteristics of electrical noise by the level of AC input voltage. In order to further improve the electrical properties of the $BaTiO_3$ based composite, glass frit, MgO, $Y_2O_3$, $Mn_3O$, $V_2O_5$, $BaCO_3$, $SiO_2$, and $Al_2O_3$ were used as additives. The electrical properties of the composites were determined by various amounts of additives and optimum sintering temperature. As a result of the optimized composite, it was possible to obtain a density of $5.77g/cm^3$, a dielectric constant of 1994, and an insulation resistance of $2.91{\times}10^{12}{\Omega}$ at an additive content of 5wt% and a sintering temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$. After forming a $2.5{\mu}m$ green sheet using the doctor blade method, a total of 77 layers were laminated and sintered at $1180^{\circ}C$. A decoupling capacitor with a size of $0.6mm(W){\times}0.3mm(L){\times}0.3mm(T)$ (width, length and thickness, respectively) and a capacitance of 100 nF was embedded using a PCB process for the 10G RF Transceiver modules. In the range of AC input voltage 400mmV @ 500kHz to 2200mV @ 900kHz, the embedded 10G RF Transceiver modules evaluated that it has better electrical performance than the non-embedded modules.
