This paper is to introduce an application of face recognition algorithm in parallel. We have experiments of 25 images with different motions and simulated the image recognitions; grouping of the image vectors, image normalization, calculating average image vectors, etc. We also discuss an analysis of the related eigen-image vectors and a parallel algorithm. To develop the parallel algorithm, we propose a new type of initial matrices for eigenvalue problem. If A is a symmetric matrix, initial matrices for eigen value problem are investigated: the "optimal" one, which minimize ${\parallel}C-A{\parallel}_F$ and the "super optimal", which minimize ${\parallel}I-C^{-1}A{\parallel}_F$. In this paper, we present a general new approach to the design of an initial matrices to solving eigenvalue problem based on the new optimal investigating C with preserving the characteristic of the given matrix A. Fast all resulting can be inverted via fast transform algorithms with O(N log N) operations.

The thermodynamic properties and structural geometry of $KMgCl_3{\cdot}6H_2O$ were investigated using thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and nuclear magnetic resonance. The initial mass loss occurs around 351 K ($=T_d$), which is interpreted as the onset of partial thermal decomposition. Phase transition temperatures were found at 435 K ($=T_{C1}$) and 481 K ($=T_{C2}$). The temperature dependences of the spin-lattice relaxation time $T_1$ for the $^1H$ nucleus changes abruptly near $T_{C1}$. These changes are associated with changes in the geometry of the arrangement of octahedral water molecules.

To investigate the infection status of pigs with Cryptosporidium parvum, 589 fecal samples were collected from pigs raised at farm in Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do. Of the 589 pig fecal samples, 62 (10.5%) were positive for C. parvum. The area showing the highest positive rate was Dangjin-gun, Chungcheongnam-do (14.0%), and the lowest (0%) Salmi-myon, Chungcheongbuk-do. The positive rate of C. parvum in Judok-eup increased from 12.7% in the winter to 22.1 % in the summer. The results of this study suggest that the pigs may be a source of human C. parvum infection.

Glutathione S-transferase (28GST) with molecular mass of 28 kDa is an anti-oxidant enzyme abundant in Clonorchis sinensis. In adult C. sinensis, 28GST was localized in tegumental syncytium, cytons, parenchyma, and sperm tails examined by immunoelectron microscopy. C. sinensis 28GST was earlier found to neutralize bio-reactive compounds and to be rich in eggs. Accordingly. it is suggested that 28GST plays important roles in phase II defense system and physiological roles in worm fecundity of C. sinensis.

본 연구에서는 전체 태양광발전소의 80%를 차지하고 있는 소규모 태양광발전소의 에너지저장장치 연계에 따른 시스템 효율을 분석하였다. 설치용량이 100kW인 태양광발전소의 데이터를 수집하고 각 발전소의 PCS와 배터리의 용량에 따른 ESS 효율의 상관관계를 도출하였으며 결론적으로 배터리의 방전속도에 영향을 미치는 C-Rate의 수치가 높을수록 ESS의 방전효율이 높아지는 것으로 나타난다.

Ral GDP dissociation stimulator (Ral GDS) has been found to be an effector protein of Ras, and Ral, a member of small GTP-binding protein (G protein) superfamily, has been suggested to act downstream of Ras. Ral GDP dissociation stimulator-like (RGL) shares 50% amino acid identity with Ral GDP dissociation stimulator, and assumed to possess similar functional role. Using yeast two-hybrid screening, we found that dopamine D3 receptor interacts with RGL. Since RGL is known to regulate the expression of c-fos promoter, effects of D3R on gene expression of c-fos promoter was studied. (omitted)

Let A be a symmetric positive definite Cartan matrix. As in [4], we denote by U the quantum group arising from A and $U_\lambda$ be the corresponding quantum group at a root of unity $\lambda$. In [4], Lusztig constructed irreducible highest weight $U_\lambda$-modules $L_\lambda(z)$ for $z \in Z^n$ and showed that $L_\lambda(z)$ is of finite dimension over C if and only if $z \in (Z^+)^n$.
