임베디드 ARM 기반의 5.8GHz DSRC 통신모뎀에 대한 SOC 구현 (Embedded ARM based SoC Implementation for 5.8GHz DSRC Communication Modem)

  • DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication)은 도로변의 RSE(Road Side Equipment)와 고속으로 이동하는 차량의 단말인 OBE(On-Board Equipment)간의 통신을 위한 단거리 전용 무선 통신 표준이다. 본 논문에서는 국내의 TTA(Telecommunication Technology Association) 표준에 호환되는 DSRC 규격에 따라 5.8GHz DSRC 모뎀을 구현하고, 이를 제어하고 연산처리를 수행할 수 있도록 ARM9 CPU를 임베딩 시킨 SoC(System on a Chip)에 대한 구현과정 및 제작한 SoC를 장착시킨 OBE 단말의 테스트결과에 대해 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 SoC는 0.11 um 공정을 적용하였으며 480 핀 EPBGA 패키지로 설계되었다. 제작 SoC ($Jaguar^{TM}$)에는 5.8GHz용 DSRC PHY(Physical Layer) 모뎀과 MAC 블록을 설계하여 장착하였으며, ARM926EJ-S 코어를 CPU로 사용하였고, LCD 콘트롤러, 스마트카드 콘트롤러, 이더넷 MAC 코어, 메모리 콘트롤러 등을 주요 기능으로 포함시켰다.

변압기 지역 코로나 전자파 간섭에 의한 계측제어설비 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of I&C Systems by EMI Generating from Corona Discharge at Transformer Area)

  • The Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) generating from corona discharge of transformer area can interference the digital Instrument and Control(I&C) systems located nearby transformers. When the potential gradient of the electric field around the conductor is high enough to form a conductive region but not high enough to cause electrical breakdown to nearby objects, the EMI of corona discharge emits with the conducted and radiated noise and it interferences the signals of the I&C systems. Since digital I&C systems have an efficiency and competitive price, the analog I&C systems have been upgraded and displaced with the digital I&C systems but which have less EMI Immunity. There was no assessment to I&C systems by EMI generating corona discharge nearby transformers. When the safety-related I&C systems are installed in plants, the verification of equipment EMI should be done not in site-specific test but in test facilities. There are the need to do the site-specific EMI evaluation of corona discharge nearby transformers. This paper assesses the margin between plant emission limits and the highest composite plant emission of corona. When the non safety-related I&C systems are placed in transformer area, it suggests the appropriate radiated susceptibility level to EMI of corona discharge.

The MMP-2 -735 C Allele is a Risk Factor for Susceptibility to Breast Cancer

  • Background: The expression of MMP genes has been demonstrated to be associated with tumor invasion, metastasis and survival rate for a variety of cancers. The functional promoter polymorphism MMP-2 C-735T is associated with decreased expression of the MMP-2 gene. The aim of present study was to detect any association between MMP-2 C-735T and susceptibility to breast cancer. Materials and Methods: The MMP-2 C-735T polymorphism was studied in 233 women (98 with breast cancer and 135 healthy controls). All studied women were from Kermanshah and Ilam provinces of Western Iran. The MMP-2 C-735T polymorphism was detected using a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method. Results: The frequencies of MMP-2 CC, CT and TT genotypes in healthy individuals were 59.3, 38.5 and 2.2%, respectively. However, in breast cancer patients, only CC (71.4%) and CT (28.6%) genotypes were observed (p=0.077). In patients the frequency of the MMP-2 C allele was significantly higher (85.7%) compared to that in controls (78.5 %, p=0.048). The presence of C allele of MMP-2 increased the risk of breast cancer by 1.64-fold [OR=1.64 (95%CI 1.01-2.7, p=0.049)]. The frequency of MMP-2 C allele was also higher in patients ${\leq}40$ years (88.9%) than those aged ${\geq}41$ years (67.5%, p=0.07). In addition, the frequency of MMP-2 C allele tended to be higher in patients with a family history of cancer in first-degree relatives (76.6%) compared to that without a family history of cancer (67.3%, p=0.31). Conclusions: Our findings indicate that the C allele of MMP-2 C-735T polymorphism is associated with increased risk of breast cancer. Also, the MMP-2 C allele might increase the risk of young onset breast cancer in our population.

여자 500m 쇼트트랙 스피드 스케이팅의 스타트 기술분석 (Analysis of the Female 500m Sprint Starting Motion in Short Track Speed Skating)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify female 500m sprint start motion by the center of gravity position in short track speed skating. The center of gravity position ratio was divided into three type(type A front : 80%-back : 20%, type B front : 70%-back 30%, type C front: 50%-back : 50%). Three video cameras were used for 3D motion analysis with DLT method and the results were as follows: The elapsed time in starting motion was appeared that type B was the shortest and type A was the longest. It was appear that the stroke length of type A was longer than that type B and C during starting phase. This result was similar to displacement of center of gravity. It was appeared that skill type of center of gravity position ratio type B' ankle and knee joint angle were lower than that of type A and C. Observing these results it was conclusion that skill type B of center of gravity position ratio was more faster than that of type A and C. But it is important that these skill type needed to verifying more subjects.

  • This paper presents the deposition characterization of polycrystalline silicon films by the HWCVD(Hot-wire Chemical Vapor Deposition) method at low substrate($300^{\circ}C$). The filament temperature, pressure and $SiH_4$ concentration were determined to be a critical parameter for the deposition of poly-Si films. Series A was deposited under the conditions of $1380^{\circ}C$(Tf), 100 mTorr and $2{\sim}10%\{SiH_4/(SiH_4+H_2)\}$ for 60 min. Series B was deposited under the conditions of $1400{\sim}1450^{\circ}C$ (Tf), 30 mTorr and $2{\sim}12%$ for 60 min. The physical characteristics were measured by Raman and FTIR spectroscopy, dark and photoconductivity measurements under AM1.5 illumination.

  • Ferroelectric Lithium niobate ($LiNbO_3$) thin films are fabricated on $Al_2O_3$(0001) substrate using Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). The various deposition conditions such as substrate temperature, oxygen pressure, and post annealing condition are investigated to deposite c-axis oriented $LiNbO_3$ thin films. Highly c-axis oriented thin films are obtained under the conditions of working pressure of 100 mTorr, deposition for 10 min at $450^{\circ}C$, and in-situ annealing for 40 min. The $LiNbO_3$ thin films are chemically etched after electric poling and the etched configurations are studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Preconditioning for Cryopreservation of in vitro Grown Bulblets of Lily using Droplet-Vitrification

  • This study was conducted to improve and supplement the system of cryopreservation for adventitious bulbs induced by tissue cultured bulb-scales of lily (Lilium spp.) cvs. 'MilkyWay'. The explants, bulblets and bulb-scale-bulblets, were treated to low temperature (4℃) for 7 days prior to the pre-culture. The adventitious bulbs were pre-cultured in Murashige and Skoog (MS) liquid medium supplemented with sucrose (0.3 and 0.7M). The pre-cultured adventitious bulbs were treated to loading solution (LS1 or LS2, C4 or C6) containing 35% of PVS3 (LS1, C4) or 40% of PVS3 (LS2, C6) for 40 min and exposed to dehydration solution (PVS3, B1) containing 50% glycerol and 50% sucrose for 60 min at 25℃. The adventitious bulbs were moved onto droplets containing 3 ㎕ PVS3 on sterilized aluminum foils, and then soaked into liquid nitrogen (LN) for 60 min. The result of highest regrowth rate as 65.7% was obtained in cold treatment (4℃), osmoprotected with LS1 solution, and cultured in PCM3 medium by using bulb-scale-bulblet for cryopreservation. This result shows that droplet-vitrification could be used as a promising method for long-term storage of lily genetic resource.

한국 SI 산업의 Offshore 아웃소싱 가능성 검토;인도/중국 사례 비교 (The Feasibility Study of Offshore Outsourcing in Korea SI Industry;Comparison between India and China case)

  • 최근 해외 선진 기업들이 콜센터, SW 개발 및 유지/보수, 디자인 설계 (CAD/CAM) 등 다양한 IT 서비스 관련 업무와 기능들을 해외로 활발하게 이전하여 비용절감 등의 효과를 실현하고 있다. 한국의 일부 기업에서도 이러한 Offshore 아웃소싱을 추진하고 있으며 SI 산업 측면에서도 그 타당성 검토의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인도, 중국 업체와의 프로젝트 사례를 통해 소프트웨어 개발 및 유지/보수 측면에서의 외주 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

Microwave-Assisted Heating of Electrospun SiC Fiber Mats

  • Flexible silicon carbide fibrous mats were fabricated by a combination of electrospinning and a polymer-derived ceramics route. Polycarbosilane was used as a solute with various solvent mixtures, such as toluene and dimethylformamide. The electrospun PCS fibrous mats were cured under a halogen vapor atmosphere and heat treated at $1300^{\circ}C$. The structure, fiber morphology, thermal behavior, and crystallization of the fabricated SiC fibrous mats were analyzed via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and thermal imaging. The prepared SiC fibrous mats were composed of randomly distributed fibers approximately $3{\mu}m$ in diameter. The heat radiation of the SiC fiber mats reached $1600^{\circ}C$ under microwave radiation at a frequency of 2.45 GHz.
