천연가스배관 내 피그흐름의 속도제어 (Speed Control of PIG Flow in Natural Gas Pipeline)

  • This paper introduces a simple nonlinear adaptive control method for pipeline inspection gauge (PIG) flow in natural gas pipeline. The dynamic behavior of the PIG depends on the different pressure across its body and the bypass flow through it. The system dynamics includes: dynamics of driving gas flow behind the PIG, dynamics of expelled gas in front of the PIG, and dynamics of the PIG. The method of characteristics (MOC) and Runger-Kuta method are used to solve the dynamics of flow. The PIG velocity is controlled through the amount of bypass flow across its body. A simple nonlinear adaptive controller based on the backstepping method is introduced. To derive the controller, three system parameters should be measured: the PIG position, its velocity and the velocity of bypass flow across the PIG body. The simulation has been done with a pipeline segment in the KOGAS low pressure system, Ueijungboo-Sangye line to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller. Three cases of interest are considered: the PIG starts to move at its launcher, the PIG arrives at its receiver and the PIG restarts after stopping in the pipeline by obstruction. The simulation results show that the proposed nonlinear adaptive controller attained good performance and can be used for controlling the PIG velocity.

열펌프의 난방운전시 핫가스 바이패스에 따른 성능 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance Characteristics of a Heat Pump System in the Heating Operation Mode with the Hot Gas Bypass)

  • When the suction pressure of compressor decreases under its limit, the compression ratio is increased causing the malfunctions of compressor. As the method to decrease the compression ratio, hot gas bypass system is usually adopted in heat pump system. In the hot gas bypass system, the discharged gas from the compressor is bypassed into the compressor suction, which causes the increase of suction pressure and the decrease of compression ratio. In this study, the characteristics and performances of the hot gas bypass system in heat pump was investigated experimentally with a variation of the bypass flow rate ratio. With the increase of the bypass rate ratio, the compressor suction pressure was increased, even though the total capacity and COP was decreased. From the analysis of the experimental results, the optimum pressure control algorithm was suggested in this study.

Optimization of a straight fin heat sink in 3D LCos projector considering bypass flow and a flow barrier

  • In this paper, the effect of a flow barrier and bypass on the cooling performance for a straight fin heat sink is presented. Both side directions and upward direction of bypass are controlled using various ducts which have different width and heights. In addition, a flow barrier is used to control flow toward heat sink. Through experiments, the distance from leading edge of a heat sink to a flow barrier is varied for various bypasses under fixed volume flow rate condition. This study shows possibility to improve cooling performance when bypass and a flow barrier exist.

Bypass Fat Production Using Acid Oil, Its Effect on In Vitro Rumen Fermentation and Effect of Its Feeding on In Sacco DM Disappearance in Sheep

  • Attempts were made in the laboratory to produce bypass fat using acid oil by precipitation and fusion methods. The degree of saponification by both of these methods was above 80 percent. Where heating facilities are not available, precipitation method could be used, otherwise, fusion method of bypass fat production is found to be more convenient, especially for commercial scale operations as handling of large volume of solutions is eliminated. Bypass fat thus produced was tested in vitro for rumen fermentation. Incorporation of acid oil in the incubation medium reduced TVFA conc. from 127.06 to 124.09 mM/l SRL and increased ammonia-N levels from 210.50 to 223 mg/l SRL indicating that the microbial activity was affected on incorporation of acid oil in the incubation medium. However, incorporation of bypass fat in the incubation medium did not significantly affect TVFA conc. as well as ammonia-N levels. In another experiment, nine rumen fistulated sheep in three groups of three each were fed bypass fat at two different levels. Dry matter disappearance in 24 h from the nylon bags suspended in the rumen of animals under different groups was found to be $47.74{\pm}1.10$, $47.55{\pm}0.21$ and $50.74{\pm}1.11$ in group I (control), group II (fed bypass fat 50 g/day) and group III (fed bypass fat 100 g/day), respectively. These studies indicated that it is possible to produce bypass fat from acid oils, a by-product of oil refining process, and its feeding did not affect rumen fermentation.

핫가스 바이패스 유량에 따른 산업용 냉각기의 온도제어 특성 (Characteristics of Temperature Control by Hot-gas Bypass Flow Rate on Industrial Water Cooler)

  • 본 논문은 EEV를 이용한 냉각시스템의 성능특성에 관한 논문이다. 산업용냉각기는 고속으로 운전하는 공작기기의 열 변형을 줄이기 위해 사용되었으며, EEV는 냉각기의 용량조절을 위해 사용되었다. 본 장치는 압축기 출구에서 나온 핫가스를 증발기 입구로 보내는 핫가스 바이패스 시스템을 위해 설계되었다. 본 실험은 PID제어를 통한 고정도 온도제어 연구의 중간결과물이다. 실험의 결과로 핫가스 바이패스의 EEV스텝 조절을 통하여 증발압력의 상승과 냉동능력의 감소를 알 수 있었다. 본 실험의 결과를 통하여 효율적인 냉각기의 설계에 있어 기초 자료로 이용할 예정이다.

  • CRDi technology of diesel engine was developed from in the early 2000s due to a need to increase fuel efficiency and environment care. Especially, high-pressure fuel injection system in CRDi system which has a fuel injection unit including an injector, a fuel pump and common-rail, etc. becomes possible to make the exhaust gas clean as well as power improvement. In this study, comparison of dynamic characteristics of servo-hydraulic piezo-driven injector with 3-way and bypass-circuit type was analyzed by using the AMESim code. As results of this study, it found the bypass-circuit inside servo-hydraulic piezo injector can cause a faster injection response than that of the 3-way type. Also it was shown that bypass-circuit type had better control capability due to hydraulic bypass system.

안드로이드 애플리케이션 환경에서 CFI 우회 공격기법 연구 (A Study of Attacks to Bypass CFI on Android Application Environment)

  • CFI(Control Flow Integrity)는 제어 흐름을 검증해 프로그램을 보호하는 기법이다. 안드로이드 환경에서 애플리케이션 보호를 위해 LLVM Clang 컴파일러가 지원하는 CFI 기법인 IFCC(Indirect Function Call Checks)와 SCS(Shadow Call Stack)이 도입되었다. IFCC가 함수 호출, SCS이 함수 복귀 시 제어 흐름을 보호한다. 본 논문에서는 IFCC, SCS을 적용한 애플리케이션 환경에서 CFI 우회 공격기법을 제안한다. 사용자 애플리케이션에 IFCC, SCS을 적용하여도 애플리케이션 메모리 내 IFCC, SCS으로 보호되지 않은 코드 영역이 다수 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 해당 코드 영역에서 공격을 위한 코드를 실행해 1) IFCC로 보호된 함수 우회 호출 기법, 2) SCS 우회를 통한 복귀 주소 변조 기법을 구성한다. 안드로이드10 QP1A. 191005.007.A3 환경에서 IFCC, SCS으로 보호되지 않은 코드 영역을 식별하고 개념 증명(proof-of-concept) 공격을 구현해 IFCC, SCS이 적용된 환경에서 제어 흐름 변조가 가능함을 보인다.

체외순환에 따른 혈중 Interleukin-10의 변화 (Changes of Interleukin-10 level in Patients Undergoing cardiopulmonary Bypass)

  • Background: Cardiopulmonary bypass during open heart surgery causes systemic inflammatory respose. IL-10 is an anti-inflammatory cytokine that inhibits inflammatory process and protects organ function by down regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokine release and maintenance of blood level balance with pro-inflammatory cytokines. Mateial and Method: Plasma IL-10 levels were measured and analyzed in 22 patients who underwent open heart surgery (11 cases of coronary artery bypass graft, 11 cases of valve replacement) under cardiopulmonary bypass since 1988 January to July at Department of Thoracic and Czardiovascular surgery, Yeungnam University Hospital. 1g of methylprednisolone was administrated to thirteen patients randomly. Blood samp.es were taken and collected at the time of induction of anesthesia, 10 min before cardiopulmonary bypass, 10 min after starting of CPB, 10 min aftr aortic cross clamping, 10 min after ACC release, and 10 min, 2 hours, and `5 hours after CPB respectively. The plasma levels of IL-10 were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA). Wilcoxon-Raule Sum test was used for statistical analysis. Result: In all 22 patients, cardiopulmonary bypass time was used for statistical analysis. Result: In all 22 patients, cardiopulmonary bypass time was 171$\pm$41.4 min and aortic cross clamp time was 118$\pm$36.5 min. Peak IL-10 level was achieved at 10 min after ACC(361.0$\pm$52.81pg/ml) and was decreased sharply at 2 hours after CPB. Peak IL-10 level was correlated positively with aortic cross clamp time(p=0.011); however, it did not correlated with bypass time(p=0.181). In valve replacement group, mean IL-10 level at peak point was 567.89$\pm$107.69 pg/ml and was significantly higher than that of coronary artery bypass group(205.67$\pm$192.70 pg/ml)(p<0.001). ACC time in valve replacement group was significantly longer than that of coronary artery bypass group(p<0.01), however, bypass time was not(p=0.212). Thirteen patients with steroid pretreatment before starting of CPB showed relatively higher plasma IL-10 level than in control group, however, no statistical significance was noted(p=0.19). Conclusion: plasma level of IL-10 was increased in association with cardiopulmonary bypass and revealed peak at 10 min after ACC release. IL-10 level was correlated positively with ACC time. Therefore, systemic inflammatory respeonse in association with cardiopulmonary bypass could be decreased by reducing ACC time during cardiac surgery.

바이패스 방식 피에조 인젝터의 피에조 적층 및 인가전압에 따른 연료분사 특성 연구 (A Study on Injection Characteristics of Piezo Injector with Bypass by Various Piezo Stack and Applied Voltage)

  • In the common rail fuel injection system, which is the core of diesel high efficiency and NOX reduction, injection strategies such as high pressure injection of fuel, accurate injection rate control, and multistage injection are important to increase fuel atomization. In this study, the bypass type piezo injector for the electronic control based common rail injection system applied to diesel fuel vehicle was studied. In particular, the injection rate and internal fuel flow characteristics of the high-pressure injector according to the piezo stacking number and applied voltage were analyzed by theoretical numerical method. When the applied voltage changes, it is determined that additional fuel flow through the bypass compensates for the reduced valve driving force due to the change in the driving voltage.
