Factors Influencing the Learning Effectiveness and Transfer of e-Learning in Business Organlizations (기업의 e-Learning에 대한 학습효과 및 전이에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The recent development of IT, consolidation of communication and multimedia technology have brought enormous changes in many organizations. Theses changes are enabling the new educational opportunities such as distance teaming and virtual class room. Recently, e-Learning has grown rapidly in business training field, In the context of companies, e-Learning has merits in terms of access convenience, costs reduction self-directed learning, reciprocity, and flexibility. In this regard, the primary purpose of this study is to investigate which factors of e-Learning influence the effectiveness of education and transfer of loaming in business organizations. Based on the prior studies of the education and business training field, research model and research hypotheses were developed. Factors studied in this paper were as follows: 1) learners' characteristics, 2) organizational support and 3) system environments. The results of our study are as follows. (1) Motivation perceived usefulness in Learner factors had an significant influence on both learning effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas Ability, expectation had an influence on transfer of teaming. (2) Support from peer, support from supervisor in Organization factors had an significant influence on both Loaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas support from organization had influence on learning effectiveness. (3) Appropriate contents in system circumstance had an significant influence on both teaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas interface design had an influence on learning effectiveness.

An Analysis for Influence Factors for IT Governance: Focusing on ITA/EA Functions (IT거버넌스의 영향요인 분석: ITA/EA 기능 중심)

  • In this paper, the function factors contributing to ITA/EA functions in their organizations, are suggested. Also the reasons to the construction of IT governance system and their effects on the their organizations are discussed and the relationships are verified by empirical model. From the survey, the data of the 227 respondents were collected and regression analysis was performed for validating the research model. ITA/EA functions consist of the IT infrastructure systemization, ITA/EA business process support, IT investment efficiency factors. And the factors of IT resource and performance management, IT process management, IT service management are included to IT governance. The main analysis results described significantly are shows as follows. At first, IT resource and performance management factor is effected by the ITA/EA business process support factor and IT investment efficiency factor. In similarly, IT service management factor is also affected by the factors such as ITA/EA business process support, IT investment efficiency, and IT infrastructure systemization. In additional analysis, IT investment efficiency factor in official sectors, ITA/EA business process support factor in private sectors respectively are described as the significant factors on the IT governance.

Government Support for Entrepreneurship Damage to Small Retail Traders from Large Wholesalers' Online Business Expansion

  • Purpose - The purpose of this research paper is twofold. First, this paper attempts to grasp the damage caused to small and medium-size retail traders from online wholesalers in the field. Second, this paper engages in a psychological characterization of the enterprise spirit and the management of small and medium-size entrepreneurs in the retail trade business that are harmed by online wholesalers. Research design, data, and methodology - Data on three large Korean wholesalers engaged in ongoing litigation during the first half of 2014, including E-Mart Traders E-Club, and regarding applications for business adjustments from three large wholesalers were used. Results - The results show that small and medium-size distribution merchants seek political support for facility modernization, policy-specific funds, development of the distribution of PB products, advanced distribution techniques, joint logistics systems, establishment of distribution and logistics centers, sharing of parking facilities, and joint ordering systems. Conclusions - This study examined the damage to, and the government's support of policy demands from, small retail traders.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Teamwork on Engagement among employees of private primary and secondary schools in Plateau State, Nigeria using the dimensions of Teamwork, which are Communication, Leadership, Team Structure, Situation Monitoring, and Mutual Support on Employee Engagement. Research design, data, and methodology - To analyze the relationship among the variables, the study adopted the descriptive and explanatory research design, and a cross-sectional survey method using a survey questionnaire containing 29 items, with a 5-point Likert scale. The samples of 274 employees (both academic and non-academic) were selected using a simple random probability sampling technique. Multiple Regression was used to analyze data with the aid of the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS version 23.0). Result - This shows that Communication, Leadership, and Situation Monitoring have a positive and significant relationship on Employee Engagement, while Team Structure and Mutual Support show a negative direction but still maintained a significant relationship. Conclusion - The management of private primary and secondary schools should pay attention to Communication, Leadership, Team Structure, Situation Monitoring, and Mutual Support among their employees to promote Employee Engagement in the workplace. It also recommends that future studies should be carried out in other sectors.

Social Support in the Times of Social Distancing: Learnings from the South Asian Context

  • This study will examine the relationship between social support from the work and family domains, referred to as multiple social network ties (MSNT), and employees' job and family-related performance outcomes during the COVID-19 crisis. The study also demonstrates the importance of employees' work-family balance (WFB) in moderating the association between MSNT and job and family-related performance. A two-wave design was used to collect data from 320 managerial level personnel in Pakistan's textile sector. The path analysis technique of structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyze the responses. In times of crisis, social support mechanisms could potentially replace organizational support mechanisms for employees dealing with work and family obligations, according to the study. The findings of this study show that work-family balance is a significant partial mediator between MSNT and employees' job and family-related outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a best-fit model. This research supports the pragmatic view of MSNT's action mechanism in generating jobs for employees and family-related results, especially in uncertain situations. According to the findings, employees who have a positive work-life balance are happier and more productive in both work and personal life. It has major implications for human resource management (HRM) research and practice.

  • This paper is to analyze business activities of approval/permission (A/P) and to describe its problems. To conduct the A/P business activities currently, there are many problems such as complex business process and different business policies among the each organization. In order to solve the problems, this paper suggests the A/P system of highway construction CALS (Commerce at Light Speed). CALS, a top down vision of complete computing integration, promises to support electronic data exchange. The A/P system is designed to classified documents based on CALS standard and store them to database. The data register to the A/P system by the Internet, and each construction company can use the A/P system by Internet also. Benefits of the A/P system is reduction in junk documents for approval/permission actives, improvement in conduct and services life cycle support.

  • We firstly tried to understand consumers' purchasing tendencies and mainly focused on designing a platform model that offers integrated support. C2B (Customer to Business) orders integrate with a consumption platform of a B2C (Business to Customer) model, and integrated support aims at design, supply, processing, and distribution of a fashion business. All the information such as orders, sales, production, supply, and settlement of accounts is synchronized under the C2B, B2C, and O2O (Online to Offline) environment so that accurate information can be shared in real time. Our platform automatically handles with a net income of a product designer, manufacturer, and shipping company once shipping is confirmed.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the impacts of personality variables, family variables, job variables, work-family conflict and job satisfaction on life satisfaction of family business workers. The major findings are as follows: 1. There was direct causal effects of job satisfaction, Sunday working level, the duration of the family business, an academic background on life satisfaction of family business workers. 2. Such variables family variables(family size, number of family workers, number of unpaid family workers), working time variables (working hours per a day, saturday working level, flexibility of working time), work-family conflict had indirect causal effects on life satisfaction of family business workers

  • Relentless competition and price cutting race make small/medium software business very difficult to maintain their business. Especially small software businesses are often at a disadvantage when they try to win government contracts, Due to the characteristics and importance of software industry, there is no doubt that government support for mall/medium software business is indispensible. In fact, the development of the US software industry has been strongly influenced by government policy during postware period. This paper attempts to examine the general small/medium business supporting policies currently implemented. In addition, policies in the construction industry and the US federal government are explored, in order to find appropriate roles the government should play.

  • In this paper, we propose a system that allows small business owners focusing on the restaurant business to easily understand the management situation, and to manage the operation and management centering on the cost of food materials and profits and losses. In general, the metadata structure is different depending on the POS system, so it is necessary to first develop a standardized metadata model for a food material cost management system for small business owners in various industries. For that reason, the system proposed in this paper was applied to the cost management app by referring to the development of a data model using the metadata standard. In addition, in order to implement a cost profit/loss management system for small business owners in the restaurant industry, it was designed to support standardized metadata models from various types of POS systems, and is a hybrid app that can support a smart environment.
