This study conducts an empirical analysis of how the suggestion activity, most widely used in quality control activities, interacts with the dimensions of learning organizations. The study also attempts to analyze the results of Six Sigma based on sub-dimensions of learning organizations, which are infrastructure, culture and system. In order for learning and innovation to take place in implementing a Six Sigma program, the organizational infrastructure and culture are created and sustained and then, a learning organization system would become effective. In this study, a empirical model is used to demonstrate such an association. The sample consists of 134 organizations who have implemented a Six Sigma program for more than three years. Using the version 16.0 of AMOS for structural equation modeling, the study estimates the structural equation model that has a Six Sigma organization's infrastructure, culture and system as independent constructs, the suggestion system as a mediator, and the performance of Six Sigma projects as a dependent construct.

The development and operation of autonomous ships are spotlighted as a next-generation technology that will provide newbenefits for the maritime business during the fourth industrial revolution. To expand the adoption of autonomous ships, the much more interest of the nation and the industries will have to be changed to actual adoption in shipping companies. For this, it is judged that research to identify the factors impacting the adoption intention of autonomous ships should be preceded. However, most studies on autonomous ships have focused on developing the technology, revising the law, establishing policies, and managing human resources, with few studies on influencing factors in the adoption of autonomous ships. A model, to identify the factors that impact the intention to the adoption of autonomous ships, based on the theory of diffusion of innovation and the TOE framework was developed. The suggested model was verified through empirical analysis targeting the shipping companies and the marine industries in Korea. As the result of this study, it was found that top management support, financial slack, and competitive intensity significantly impacted the intention to adopt autonomous ships. Additionally, it was revealed that the overall awareness of autonomous ships among Korean shipping companies is poor.

Recent concerns over national and corporate competitiveness have stimulated a renewed interest in organization's performance. The organization's performance primarily depends on resources including human resources, budget, physical based resources, and so on. Especially because the relationship between organization's performance ;md individual capabilities is more evident in R & D organizations where the knowledge base is embodied in people, there has taken an increasing interest in the methodologies for measuring the capabilities of R & D personnel. This paper presents new methodological approach to measure the capabilities of R & D personnel. And the model is empirically applied to ETRI, a public R & D organization in Korea. On the basis of the results, the implications for R & D management are discussed, with regard to R & D business and human resources management.

The purpose of this study is to suggest information system focused on the delivery system for national internet shopping mall. It is specifically summarized as follows. First, I showed the necessary required contents for constructing information system focused on the delivery system. Next, I suggested the theoretical model of the necessary information system for practicing information system, which is based on the above contents. The result of this study is to support for constructing information delivery system required for information system of internet shopping mall. And is to do a role of guide for practicing it, which is regarded as constructing a practical business guideline.

This paper explains that tacit knowledge is a critical component for the success of government-led R&D project selection, where rapid and accurate decision making need to be made under lack of information circumstances. It also explores ways to fully exploit the tacit knowledge of experts participating in the Korean government's R&D project selection process. Some of these include: (1) strategic attention from the top officials, (2) forming self-organizing teams, (3) establishing a horizontal and risk-taking culture, (4) encouraging a sense of responsibility in creating and sharing tacit knowledge, and (5) providing a seamless monitoring system and training.

Value chain analysis has been applied in various fields, from the time the concept of “value chain” was introduced by Porter in 1985. Several frameworks have emerged and have been used to study individual firms, entire industries, industry clusters, as well as global production networks. The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief review of these frameworks, identify factors that influence the performance of value chains, and suggest areas for future research. Since there is a wide range of value chain literature, this paper focuses on a selective set of earlier works within the value chain model as conceptualized by Porter. The study takes note of the many dimensions and applications of value chain analysis, and shows that value chain analysis is an effective way to examine the interaction among different players in a given industry. The study further points out the shortcomings of the traditional or Porter view of value chain analysis.

The purpose of this study was to explore an intrinsic concept of 'company innovativeness' based on qualitative data obtained from 54 practitioners with at least 5 year-experience in the industry. Data were analyzed based on the grounded theory and Nvivo 2.0 program. Based on results, seven theme were generated. Seven intrinsic theme include 5 intrinsic concepts such as learning orientation, excellence of human resource, treatment for employees, market orientation and work efficiency, and 2 performance concepts such as business performance and innovation performance. These diverse concepts were considered as an important guideline in judging whether a company is innovative or not. In addition, diverse programs were provided by companies for a purpose of enhancing company innovativeness. Based on results, a research model was suggested to be elaborated in future studies. Implications and suggestions were generated based on results.

The explosive growth in wireless networks and Internet services has created considerable demand for mobile Internet services based on the mobile phone. Mobile Internet has become the new business model in telecommunication market, therefore the open network policy for mobile Internet has been formulated and implemented by the government in Korea. In spite of the open network policy for mobile Internet, there has been no systematic analysis of the various interconnection issues, including pricing, in mobile Internet network. This paper aims to suggest the interconnection pricing methods for mobile Internet network by reviewing the current pricing models for various communications services, and adapting them to mobile Internet communications circumstances. Results of this paper can be used as a guideline for government policy directions and management decision making after the introduction of the open network policy for mobile Internet.

In this paper, we attempt to predict the future of broadband access market where new convergence access technologies and additional services are introduced, based on consumer preferences. Conjoint analysis and mixed logit model is used for estimation, From the results, consumers value convergence access technologies such as PLC and wireless LAN, and TV-related service, However, valuation on new beneficial features of convergence access technologies is not enough to overcome their technological inferiorities in data transfer speed and quality stability at current technological stage, Additionally, consumer preferences are so heterogeneous that differentiated business strategies are required, Finally, some managerial and policy implications are presented.

본 연구는 Kingdon(1984)과 Howlett(2014) 모델을 결합한 수정모델을 적용하여 국제과학비즈니스벨트의 정책결정과정을 분석하였다. 그 과정에서 어떠한 사회 정치적 요인들이 영향을 미쳤는지에 대해 알아보고 향후, 국제과학비즈니스벨트 사업과 거대기초과학 정책 추진방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 구체적인 분석은 정책결정과정을 정책의재, 정책형성, 정책집행의 단계로 구분하고, 문제 과정 정책 정치의 흐름과 창, 정책선도자를 변수로 활용하였다. 분석결과, 정책결정과정에서 정치의 흐름과 정책선도자의 역할이 중요하게 작용하였고, 과학자 집단보다는 정치가들과 정부 관료자들이 주도적으로 참여하였으며 그 과정속에서 정치적 혼란을 겪으며 급진적으로 진행되었다는 점을 알 수 있었다.
