This paper provides the practical application of a linear shrinkage framework on Vietnam stock market. The cumulative data points observed in this analysis are 468 weeks from January 2011 to December 2019. All the companies listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), except the companies under two years period from Initial Public Offering (IPO), are considered. The cumulative number of stocks picked is therefore 350 companies. The VNINDEX, which is the Vietnam Stock Index, is used as a reference index for shrinking to a single-index model. The empirical results show that the shrinkage of covariance matrix for portfolio optimization gives the promising results for the investors on Vietnam stock market. The shrinkage method helps the investors to produce the optimal portfolio in the sense of having higher profit with lower levels of risk compared to the portfolio of the traditional SCM method. Moreover, the portfolio turnover of shrinkage method is always kept at low magnitudes, and this makes the shrinkage portfolios save much transaction costs and reduce the liquidity risks in the trading process. In addition, the ability of shrinkage method in making profit is once again confirmed by the Alpha coefficient that achieves a high positive value.

In the services industry and firms, the successful new service development is very important issue today, But the innovation process for service firms is comprehensively little treated until now. This study was performed to suggest the new service development process model for the firms level in the perspective of the radical service innovation. So, in this paper the new process development model can be made by reviewing the concepts about the radical service innovation and by analyzing the some existing new service development process models. In the suggested service development process model, the three key process such as technology forecast, market analysis, and strategy development were included for front phase activity as the new service development process. Also the four key process for searching phase, and the other three key process for implementation phase were included. And for the application for the service firms' service innovation, the innovation's outcome estimation reference model is included. I hope to be executed the various case research and the improvement and optimization for this suggested process model in the future.

Due to the deterioration of the business environment, many companies become more interested in IT adoption to strengthen their internal competence. The recent expansion of the ERP adoption in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can be interpreted as an example for this. However there are still a number of questions over the outsourcing effectiveness and its performance of IT adoption by characteristics of SMEs. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the software process quality and the product quality, and additionally the moderating effect of IT adoption factors, from the case of SMEs' ERP adoption by the outsourcing. For this purpose, the empirical analysis through the structural equation model has been carried out, based on the software quality model defined in ISO/IEC 15504 and ISO/IEC 9126. The result of analysis shows that the acquisition process quality can affect the product quality characteristics, currently applied in the national software quality certification, and this supports the practical usefulness of the ISO standard of software engineering. But another result shows that there is little moderating effect by IT adoption factors, in contrast to the expectation, and this can be explained due to the inappropriate measurement and the data constraint such as short duration-time of IT adoption. These can be used as an informative reference for continuing studies of the quality model application and the effect of IT adoption factors in SMEs.

Since the legislation of the act for public records, there has been a remarkable growth in records management in Korea. Recently, how to efficiently handle digital records has become an urgent issue in Korea. However, the appraisal process for (selection) archives seems inappropriate. This study reviewed the problems of each archiving process for records created by police departments and prosecutors' offices. Based on the results of the review, I proposed an improvement plan for the selective and appraisal acquisition of records.

During the last decades, tremendous achievements have been made in the application of Computer-Integrated-Manufacturing(CIM) technologies to the real business fields. It has been recognized as a primary success factor that one should establish its own CIM environments, cultural backgrounds and technology levels. In this paper, an attmpt is made to accelerate the modernization process in a nation-wide range of industries, and so improve the competitiveness of our manufacturing industry as a whole. First of all, various korea-specific CIM concepts which have already been pointed out by industrial CIM practitioners are consolidated. Three major views (activity-based, function-based, and policy-based views) that could be included in the Korea CIM reference model have been derived from the detailed analysis of the technical survey. Twenty-nine research themes with higher priorities in each view are selected.

기업 비즈니스를 위한 업무절차와 문서/데이터에서의 일관성 확보를 통한 비즈니스 프로세스의 표준화는 기업 내부적으로 효율적으로 개선된 프로세스에 기반한 정보화시스템의 구축뿐만 아니라, e-비즈니스 환경에서 기업간 협업체계로의 적용을 통해 새로운 기업가치의 창출을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 중소 규모의 업체에서 자사 비즈니스 프로세스를 분석 및 모델링하고 공개된 표준적 모델을 참조하여 자사 프로세스를 표준화하기 위한 방법론을 제시하고 있다. 즉, 기업이 유사 업종의 선진적인 표준모델을 참조 및 비교함으로써 프로세스 개선기회를 손쉽게 파악하고 자사 업무환경을 고려하여 프로세스 표준화의 구체적인 실행계획을 수립하기 전 단계까지의 과정에 대한 방법론의 개발을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 연구의 결과물은 표준모델의 참조를 통한 비즈니스 프로세스 표준화의 방법론으로 중소업체에서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있으며, 업종 특성을 고려한 표준모델의 공개 및 보급과 함께 프로세스 표준화를 유도함으로써 기업내부 정보화뿐만 아니라 산업 전반에 걸친 정보화 및 e-비즈니스 환경의 구현을 촉진시킬 것으로 기대된다.

Since the election of governors and mayors by vote, many local governments in Korea establish long-range plans for their regional development. The major purposes of the plans are to set up development path for their communities and to devise economic development strategies. But most of the plans established thus formulated by the same method utilized in centralized political regime. This method is considered no longer appropriate to devise the long-range development plans for local government especially in the era of globalization and localization, where local governments behave independently, where local governments behave independently competition. We suggest an alternative way to establish such plans, based on the method employed in business sector. The plans, formulated in this way, are called strategy oriented long-range development plans. The underlying logic for the plans is non-linear one. The plans are issue oriented and focus more on process than outcome. Given that these features are properly incorporated in the plans, we expect that the strategy oriented long-range development plans can be genuine guidelines for local economic development in the years to come.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to provide a formalized process of decision making for companies or organizations that need to make various decisions in the age of uncertainty. Therefore, this study aimed to proposes a strategic decision-making approach citing the relatively easily accessible using IPA(important-performance analysis) and SWOT/AHP analysis. Research design, data, and methodology - To be specific, the first step is to derive necessary attributes and conduct IPA. The second step is to subdivide the IPA results into internal strength and weakness factors and the external opportunity and threat factors, hierarchize those factors, and weight them accordingly. The third step is to build a causality model to propose a method of supporting a rational decision making. Results - The foregoing approach seems to facilitate the diversification of decision-making strategies by helping businesses or organizations to measure and analyze the attributes needed for certain decisions. Additionally, the perceived importance and satisfaction (or achievement) usage of those derived attributes can be used as the reference data for SWOT/AHP analysis. Conclusions - The proposed stepwise approach is applicable to businesses or organizations in need of making stepwise decisions in line with their retained competencies in comparison to conventional or intuitive decision-making practices.

Purpose: This study attempts to explain why online luxury shopping malls have implemented a difficult registration process and membership fees. These features weaken online shopping convenience, one of the major reasons why people shop online instead of offline. Therefore, this study scrutinizes the effects of membership features on trust, focusing on the moderating effects of registration difficulty and membership fees. Research design, data and methodology: A survey method with a total of 296 survey data was used. A 2 × 2 × 2 factorial design was employed. The three independent variables are price discount rate (20% vs. 70%), registration difficulty (low vs. high), and membership fees (yes vs. no). Results: The results reveal that a price discount rate has a negative effect on trust, whereas membership fees and registration difficulty moderate its negative effect on trust. Conclusions: A high price discount rate lowers trust for online luxury shopping malls. Meanwhile, registration difficulty and membership fees can be used to prevent consumers from losing trust caused by the high price discount rate. Therefore, registration difficulty and membership fees are signals implying that not everyone can use these private online shopping malls, which provide low prices for luxury items.

In this article, we have presented a framework, designed to create new services for businesses, which use large sets of medical data. It is not a simple data analysis step, but it clarifies the purpose of data utilization, analyses it, extracts value from it, and designs a process from actual business or service to an operation. The designed frame work covers the basic architecture and social system model. It was designed, using basic data, which was focused on large sets of medical data, and to be applied to a social system with reference to the designed framework. We are looking forward to create various medical business alliances and services applying the designed framework to the available sets of basic medical data.
