This case study shows constructing the knowledge-based system using a rule-based approach for detecting transactions regarding money laundering in the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KoFIU). To better manage the explosive increment of low risk suspicious transactions reporting from financial institutions and to conjugate data converged into the KoFIU from various organizations, the adoption of a knowledge-based system is definitely required. We designed and constructed the knowledge-based system for anti-money laundering by committing experts of each specific financial industry co-worked with a knowledge engineer. The outcome of the knowledge base implementation shows that the knowledge-based system is filtering STRs in the primary analysis step efficiently and so has made great contribution to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the analysis process. It can be said that establishing the foundation of the knowledge base under the entire framework of the knowledge-based system for consideration of knowledge creation and management is indeed valuable.

Some people think that the Internet is a tool of making the current market as a perfect competition market and that the business model of selling products or services is not attractive. But research of this issue propose that the Internet give us new challenge of business. Companies had to be more intelligent in order to survive in the rapidly changing environments. We need to make a decision to build the Information System to support the managers in their decision making. That is the reason many companies are tend to have Business Intelligence Systems. But, how can we know the new system would be better than the old system in making us intelligent? The answer is we can do it with the concept of Intelligence Density. In this study, Intelligence Density concept will be introduced, and the way how it can be applied to the information system will be presented. I think Intelligence Density should be studied more to help managers make right decisions for the DSS implementation.

As a fundamental knowledge source in a global learning environment, it is feasible to apply the relational database management systems (RDBMS), object-oriented database management systems (OODBMS), and other traditional DBMS. However, the traditional DBMSs are not feasible in semantic knowledge/ontology representation and inference. One of the reasonable ways to overcome the limitations is the semantic web-based business support framework. Especially, in this study, we focused on the development of semantic web ontology and natural language (NL)-based inference framework. To validate the efficiency of the proposed framework, we considered a reasonable scenario for course recommendation in a university.

True process collaboration can be accomplished through seamless integration of business processes and enterprise knowledge. Therefore, it is natural that the concept of Business Operating System (BOS), proposed by Delphi Group in 1994, is currently considered as a next evolutionary step for Business Process Management System (BPMS). Literature reports very little work, however, especially, on a comprehensive architecture of the system. This paper proposes an architecture of BOS with the following definition: ' BOS is an intelligent activity supporting system that provides a comprehensive and personalized work environment to each knowledge-intensive worker. ' To propose an architecture of BOS, the paper first identifies and classifies functional requirements for Business Operating System. Then, it proposes a data model and an architecture of the system to satisfy the functional requirements. The proposed architecture focuses on two essential technical requirements. First, the system should provide an effective means to integrate data and processes and to standardize distributed component systems. Secondly, the system should also be intelligent enough to assist workers to perform their knowledge-intensive work. The paper shows how these requirements can be achieved by using Semantic Web and Web Service.

The relationship between suppliers and customers is treated importantly not only in the traditional business-to-business (BtoB) commerce but also in today's Internet environments. On the one hand, most of Internet-based BtoB commerce services like customer-centric e-procurement, supplier-centric e-sales or intermediary-centric e-marketplace focus mainly on the selection of partners according to bidding, auction, etc. This point may result in the problem of overlooking the relationships between suppliers and customers. To overcome this problem in this paper, an intelligent agents-based supply chain operation architecture is proposed and appraised considering the relationship and its adaptation.

Transportation Efficiency Act of 2009 System National Integrated Transportation System Efficiency Act and the revised Road Traffic in the center of the Intelligent Transportation Systems rail, sea and air transport sector is expanding in various areas to promote business and Industry is planning to. Accordingly, the introduction of Intelligent Transportation Systems Outlook and Direction of the railway sector and to provide a comprehensive introduction of Intelligent Transportation Systems rail sector has raised the need. In this paper, the introduction of Intelligent Transportation Systems rail sector strategy is presented as follows. First, the rail users a convenient rail-centric information system used. Second, the reliability and value-added operating system built for the creation of high-tech rail. Third, crime and accidents are implemented in a safe railway. The results of this paper, the railway sector through the national Intelligent Transportation Systems to develop and introduce strategies to provide operational direction is expected to be present.

최근, 빅데이터 등 대용량의 데이터가 등장함에 따라 SSD 안에 추가적인 프로세서를 장착하여 데이터 처리 능력을 부여한 Intelligent SSD의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저, Intelligent SSD의 특징을 분석하고, Intelligent SSD가 대용량 처리에 적합함을 보인다. 더 나아가, Intelligent SSD를 위한 외부 정렬 방안을 제안하고, 비용 모델을 수립을 통해 제안한 방안의 우수성을 검증한다.
